I'm here at the Hot Wheels Convention in Los Angeles. Most of my time has been spent shooting Sneaks videos - many to come! - but I did get into a few rooms, and I even bought a few things. Plus, a look at the convention models.
Every time I see room-to-room footage, I am amazed by the logistics that people must go through to take cars, and shelves, and displays, and etc. I have a vision of people rolling up to the hotel in a moving van.
i couldnt go to something like that. i would go broke so damn fast and wouldnt have gas money to get home, id have to open my hot wheels and strapem to my feet and skate my ass home lmao!!
These are all beautiful. Just sad seeing the Porsche rear axle wiggle all over the place. When is HWs going to address their GLARING quality control issues, especially on ultra premiums?!?!?! I guess they're just depending on people never opening the package.
Im watching the video now , if I’m not wrong lamley completed the sneak peek interviews and will upload them in the following weeks RLC / RR / Elite64 / 1:43 / mainliners
Oh yeah I was there in 2018, a friend of mine died tragically in a car accident while I was there so I had a rough time of it. I need to go back again and try to have fun next time.
Nice review of those models ! In my local area (eastern MA) there is only the big box and some some smaller stores that has HWs ,no specialty stores like Colorado Diecast or nearby flee markets or the like so to see room after room of people selling HWs is sorta overwhelming Did you pay $200 for one car?!
Can i give you more thumbs up? One is not enough, haha, anyway love your videos showing new cars almost everyday, is like a die cast heaven for me, hehe 😊😊🙏🏻✝️
That place had killer cars! Do you think Mattel well get back to making/selling Ferrari? Amazing show. I'm new to this so I need to get to one of these shows. My finance's wont like it! lol
They are officially called comold wheels, and they were used on multiple lines. I believe Speed Machines was first. The look of rims and tires but all plastic for max speed
Can you clarify the convention ticket process? Based on the world's worst website, it seems like you can buy tickets in 2 separate rounds, much earlier in the year. For the first you have to be a newsletter subscriber, but even that I can't figure out how to become.
Google hot wheels newsletter. Sign up per instructions. Do not have to be a subscriber to get tickets, but subscribers get first crack. Tickets sell out in minutes. You probably have 5000 people going after 1500 tickets. If you are close to the convention you can attend the Sunday toy show open to the public.
Because you have to pay to have a seller’s booth in the convention hall, but if you sell out of your hotel room you get to keep all the money! This better prices, trades, deals, etc.!😊
You go to the stores, nothing but junk nobody wants. You go to these convention rooms, it's all the stuff everyone wants. So you would think MATTEL would focus on making only the stuff PEOPLE WANT. But nope. They make tons of junk instead.
So I was born when the Bears won the super bowl, and I am just not head over heals about anything on the table. Yeah, the widow maker is cool but your halfway to resin at that price.
I don't like the fact that 959 is only RLC and now Convention exclusive... This one looks the best, but it will probably go for around $400, like other con exclusives.
Wtf wine custom Bugatti for 500 gtfoah! I'll expose strip a hot wheel and buy some metalcast spray paint! Sand, polish, and paint seem easy, but practice makes perfect 👌 this 1 dolla hot wheels sh!@ its getting out of hand.
