@ 9:01 "...and 2 seconds later they're up your - - - TAiLPipE...." Come on man, that's like watching the TV cut of Die Hard with all the good bits dubbed over or cut out. 😭
I have grown to absolutely love the IJN cruiser line. The torp angles and range on Atago are good, but Mogami is perfect for kiting away and launching torps and fire at the poor guys following you. 11 km range torpedoes is unexpected, and they often don’t realize you are launching at them. Going for a stealth build with Lemmoniere really helps disengage when needed. I feel like these two are the best cruisers in the game, but I use torps more than most cruiser commanders, and love the fires these babies start. You can engage targets from both side with torps, while raining fire over most of the map. Your cruiser videos are the best tutorial available. Thanks again!
I'm primarily an American Cruiser player and this video was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Thanks for all the insight. I'm currently grinding the Marble-head for all I can get out of it. I play an extremely similar play style as the one you just presented in this video. Some people would consider it more of a solo play but consistently firing your guns and causing damage does wonders for your team. Thanks for your dedication to this game and your channel. It is very appreciated. my PSN is basschrist.
Great game as usual. I was in a match with you in my Myoko a few days ago and managed to apply this surviving early strategy and dealt damage while receiving less by picking my spots. Late in the match when there were less ships, the opportunities for more damage dealing increased. This is pretty much how I try to play when in my cruisers. Very educational video as always! Many thanks!
I enjoy playing cruisers at tier 7. At tier 7 , everything can kill you quickly. You need to be sneaky and careful. Love how you keep torps in the water. You taught me to experiment with commander set up. I actually use Togo on this ship with Mikawa and Swirski inspiration. Between those 2, and Togo’s ability to cut visibility by 6% because of his Japanese Dewey abilities, my visibility is cut by 13%. I also get an extra consumable for damage control and sonar. I ranked him up pretty far before I had other commanders.
Tbull Most people don’t have Togo fully ranked up. Not the brightest move, but I didn’t know then. Base trait is faster consumable replenish. Not a game winner, but useful. Downside is that I can’t add my accuracy boosting American influence, but 6 % concealment is huge. He does have fire and range boosting abilities, but the extra heal is the selling point. Japanese cruisers are pretty accurate anyhow. Thanks again for your work. Training a new generation how not to be cannon fodder!!
Still chasing the 4k game (best is 3997...), but digging your "be better at cruiser" mission... amazing how a good cruiser play can really swing a match
I can see now why you love the Japanese and French tier 7 cruisers much more than the US/German ones. In cruisers at that high of a tier, the HE shells can pen pretty good, and overall the fire damage tends to lead to more consistent high damage games than Baltimore/Hipper. I’m not gonna lie though. It is VERY satisfying when you can punish BBs with AP shells from the Baltimore. :) As far as tier 7 cruiser lines go, I’ll probably go for the IJN or French line now. Thanks, Tbull for your awesome input. :D
I have Scott and Yamamoto for insp on Atago . The AP on this thing is surprisingly powerful . I just had a near full health KG try to bum rush me and 2 torp spreads later " HE GONE " !
It's not bad but compared to the other nations the HE is the best on the Japanese. Certainly worth firing the AP when the situation calls for it though
Great game! Love the Atago. Couldn't for the life of me get a win with my premium battleships, but sailed this cruiser out of port and got weekly with 3 consecutive wins. Your cruiser videos have been a huge help, thanks! Regarding Yamato, would you sell or just uninstall the purchased upgrades before it's yanked from our ports?
Hi tbull got a suggestion for how I think carrier's can be put in the game fairly I was thinking that those who want to play carrier's can grind them but say I dont want them in my matchmaking as long as I choose not to grind any carrier lines then I dont get them in my games an if those who start to play the carrier's decide they prefer not to have them in MM as long as you remove them from your dock u then go back into carrier free matchmaking this way both sides can be happy if carrier's are added I also think this would work for artillery in world of tanks what are your thoughts love the content really improved my cruiser game thx to yours an tactic angel vids
Breaking 4K is always awesome . Against Mogami i would have loaded AP. you know it's going to be a torp-joust, but if he sees AP incoming, he can't go broadside to launch them. GG. P.S. Does Yamamoto's multiplier work on RN ships? technically they have SAP not AP.
I got query into them to double check, but I'm under the assumption that it does. If not, I've wasted a months worth of POs trying to get my crew ready
Hey bull love the videos and wealth of useful information in each one... im going up my cruiser tech trees and i am at t6 for both french and Japanese... which t6 cruiser would you recommend or which t7 would you recommend grinding toward?
How is the Mogami versus the Myoko? I have come around to really liking the Myoko recently. However, I have been using Yamamoto with Scott and Lemonnier as inspirations.
Tbull I suppose anything is possible eh? Lol. Guess I’ve found either island hugging or kiting about the only way to make em work. Kiting is more fun because they are shots my team doesn’t have to try and tank imo.
I prefer the rn single fire system to other dds. Its good for forcing ships into a trap. 1 forward to slow them, 1 back to stop them slowing too much and the rest staggered inbetween. Its a torpedo net and only RN can do it.
@@TbullGaming he knew that you were coming around the island but chose to torpedo you. He had one plan and after that went out of the window. (And at that moment he realized that he fucked up.) Nice game either way
