Hans really knocked it out of the park with the hull design on this. I think a lot of people get caught up in gimmicky features and "game changing" new stuff, but what really makes a kayak good is how it paddles. You'd be hard-pressed to find another 12 footer that paddles this well, especially in the wind. Not to mention it still performs really well in moving water too. I've had mine since 2016 and couldn't be happier.

I have an ATAK 120 and a Nucanoe Pursuit (also a Slayer Propel 10) and I've owned many others in the past and this is probably my favorite of all time (I love my Pursuit and Slayer also). Maneuverability and tracking are phenomenal; just a perfect balance between the 2. Stability is very good and the speed is very good. And it sheds wind like a dream. A great all around kayak for fishing rivers and lakes imho.

Do you like this more than your Pursuit. I’ve had a Pursuit and liked it but am thinking of going with an atak 120. Could share what your thoughts are. Thanks

@@wolfpack9688 I wouldn't say I like it better (I like them both very much), but imo it gets up to speed quicker, tracks better, sheds wind better and is just as stable.

Nice review. I’d have one of those over my Catch 120 for sure. Wilderness has always been one of my favorite paddle yaks. I wanted a ride 115x for the longest time but never had the money for it. The wind blows me all over the place in the Catch. I wish it had the shallow draft hull like the Atak.

Grant the atak hands down for me. But the bonafide might have better storage efficiency. So far this is my favorite all around paddle yak I’ve been in. It felt like an Amigo but has way more storage options.

Kevin Cole Actually no, I went with a Jackson Mayfly. But there’s an Atak for sell at a local shop here in New Orleans for 1,000. I’m thinking about grabbing it.
