WOW I was SO excited to see a mix by him on RU-vid. Hearing the old skool tracks that made me fall in Love with Trance and EDM. ATB is one of the greatest of all time.
I listen to ATB and other DJs since my early teens, all the way back in the late 90's. Seeing them perform nowadays, and upgrading their sound is a incredibly satisfying feeling. That said, I wish they would stop adopting EDM fads such as the "1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4" chanting right before a drop, it's stupid, let the music carry itself, by itself, for itself. Put the mic down, and do what you do best, for crying out loud.
Can not agree more. Love ATB, one of the first artists in the scene that I started listening to. But his talk over and sing alongs really ruin the flow of the music. Makes me appreciate even more how Above and Beyond performs (by speaking to the audience with text over visuals).
