ATC Check in S4HANA | What is ATC? | Why is it required?

Hi Everyone, ATC or Abap Test Cockpit is used prior to conversion or upgrade to S4HANA. It tells us all the changes that we need to make to the custom code in order to make it compatible with S4HANA.

Hi Excellent video..I have a one question ? We are moving ECC to S4HANA . I am new to custom code conversion so we run sum tool with out checking this ATC checks. Is it mandatory ATC check before SUM tool run . can we do ATC check after SUM anyway the after sum also ATC will work right.

Yes ATC checks are not mandatory when you run SUM :)

This needs to be applied in the old version, prior to upgrade.

@@Amanbirjpuriya one way to do is, you can make a note of such programs and FMs and revisit them after upgrade and update then.

The corresponding note will tell you what to do. If you are only selecting from a DB table, its okay. But the note might suggest you to create a cds view and select from it. The latter is needed if you are performing any action like updates on the DB tab

It may also suggest to specify primary key set or order by statement. That’s in the message
