Hey dude, firstly, you're running the motor too hard. 1000w 48v, the motor is really tiny for that size which makes it a mass produced model. Don't expect great quality from them. You need to take a look at your gearing to take some of the load off. Those motors are made to run in bursts, not continuously. You have to stop them after 5 minutes of cont use for about 10 minutes of rest. Unless you spend the extra money and buy the fan version. To make the properly, you really need either a higher rated motor, maybe 2000w then current limit or, or run it at 50% and change your gear ratios. Your motors will last way longer. Also when you get them, ask the seller for better bearings, because the normal ones that come with that motor are the cheapest they can buy and any radial loads will kill them real fast. You also need to get a much bigger controller. Again, the one you have will do the rated value only for a short period of time before it fails. You want something again, double what you intend to use. I wouldn't use anything less then a 50-60A controller on this motor. Stop buying cheap crap man, because you end up buying it multiple times when its failed. I understand you're trying to get everything as cheap as possible, but you need to use common sense... you're buying the cheapest stuff from the dodgiest sellers.. its a lotto. Its a nice video though.

With the sprocket, just drill a hole straight through the shaft and sprocket, then use a pin to lock it in place. Hole only needs to be about 3mm. It will lock it.
