@UCIaiz0zzRMmNNVKVCBabTjQ are you a a singer? Because I have learnt to sing proffessionally for 10 years.... And let me tell you, for belting those high notes, you need a lot of breathe and a chest voice, which is why he did it the way he did. He didn't strain his voice... Because we can easily hear it in that note.
@Cam S i dont mean any offense but please watch a vocalist's analysis of jongho's vocals. he has a good technique. there's more to him than high notes anyways lol
the fact that it’s so rare for rookie groups to win immortal songs and a year and half old group does it still is hard to process. not to mention they were against a 2 time champ. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again... ATEEZ WORLD DOMINATION
Muskaan Dudi it’s called immortal songs and this episode was just live a few hours ago. i’m not sure but ppl will probably upload parts of it on youtube
Why is no one talking about Yeosang? We can hear his voice CLEARLY, he rode Yunho's back, and he basically got a solo. I'm so proud of him for becoming more confident in himself
Things to note: There's no backing vocals after Mingi and Hongjoong say to sing together. That's their actual voices. Jongho's scale likewise has no backing vocal.
The way Jongho, 19 yrs. old who did not undergo any vocal training not until recently, and the maknae of the group who slayed and belted that stable and powerful G#5 note (without using falseto) is the biggest flex of the century.
i agreee and sannie who don't even know how to dance during pre debut slayed his performance and showed a demonic stage presence with his creepy facial expressions that matched the theme of their performance. ❤️
@@maroontiny2345 Yes, in music an octave is the same note but higher or lower. For example, an A to the next higher A would be an octave (ABCDEFGA). Jongho does a full octave. An octave that high in his range without going into his falsetto, and so powerfully, is impressive. Just to compare, as a soprano I can do about three octaves overall. To get that range you would have to include his falsetto. He could maybe hit 1.5 to two octaves without it. Just guessing as I am not a man.
@@jessn.3851 Ohhh this is actually helpful, thank you for explaining ^-^ Now I'm even prouder of Jongho hitting a full octave even without using his falseto♡
I feel like crying at the fact that Jongho is barely 20 years old and he's slaying vocals like a seasoned pro!!! ATEEZ really lucked out by getting him
-Jongho's powerful voice -Yunho hard dance -San's insane facial expression and dance skill. - Yeosang center and deep voice. - Seonghwa's amazing vocal - wooyoung vocal ability and dance. - Mingi and hongjoong's Rap ATEEZ: BEST BOY GROUP EVER Periodt!!!!
@@lovejoyradio Jongho was patting him and San was shaking his head like a cat...Jongho sang "You are my cute black cat a red ribbon will look good on you" But San used red lipstick instead.
Let's see what they did here: they covered a 90's song (turbo - but the original is an italian song released in 1969) but in ateez's style, while paying tribute to blockb (intro) and also to their previous choreos. Who is doing it like them
@@florc6433 they never disappoint! Every stage they do is completely different than the ones they've done before and that's why i think they'll never stop amazing everyone
ATEEZ is the only group I make sure I watch every performance stage of their comeback ,I never did that before ,not even with my favorite group .inception Is a masterpiece ,perfect in every way ,the song ,the music, the boys dance skills and face expressions, the outfit and hair styling.ateez you won our heart, thank you for that love you
We all agree that ATEEZ changed the standard, the expectation and the level of rookie groups!! They’re out there looking like a legendary idols who’s been 10 years in the industry!!! WHAT A TALENTED BOYS !!!!
Technical they are not rookie anymore.... They debut back in 2018 and there are many many many group debuted after them Soo THEY ARE NO LONGER ROOKIES THEY ARE 3 YEARS OLD IDOLS AND THIS IS LEVEL SHOULD BE SEEN IN MANY 3 YEARS IDOLS IF THEY WANT TO SURVIVE HIGHLY COMPETITION IN INDUSTRY....
*ATEEZ performance isn't about perfection in singing, rapping, nor dancing, they are about giving all you've got with passion for the performance while having fun but still maintain to deliver the best out of the rest. This is what set ATEEZ apart from most groups out there.*
this!!! the industry is so obsessed with immaculate synchrony and perfection that they don't realize how beautiful it is to have 8 members doing the same choreography but each one does it in a different way, they are never boring and you can see how much effort and passion every single one of them puts when they're on stage
@@ffo7798 ikr and it's funny how antis use this to attack ateez and the fandom smh at least our faves aren't robots with the same expression in every stages

Fun fact: This whole performance was just prepared for 2 days (including stage rehearsals) since they were so busy with their 2 comeback promotions but still managed to beat 3 competitors and won on the finals.
to all the antis that said that ateez only has visuals and they overdance, how does it feel seeing big korean artists completely amazed by their performance? stop being a hater and stan talent for clear skin
Antis said that. Come on ateez has the best visual best dancers best choreo vocalist of the century. I thou they wont get much hate. Clearly they are jealous of our kings.
SAN, YUNHO AND YEOSANG IN THE CENTER.... HONGJOONG DANCE BREAK, HIS UNIQUE RAP, JONGHO’S STRONG VOCAL, MINGI’S DANCE, HIS EXPRESSIONS, PRESENCE AND RAP AND ALL AND SEONGHWA’S BOTH SOFT AND DEEP VOICE! WOOYOUNG’S AND YUNHO’S DANCE WERE SOMETHING ELSE BY THEMSELVES AND SAN... AHHHHH SAN! AND ROCK VIBES????? Just How do you expect us to survive now???? IT WAS SO POWERFUL!
This proves that korea needs to stop sleeping on them!!!!!!!!!! Ateez owned this whole episode! This is why I stan Ateez since day 1. Love these boys!!!!!!! They deserve the world!

Sara Zandi the lyrics aren't supposed to be taken explicitly. It's about someone who wanted a white cat but got a black cat instead. The original song actually comes from the Italian children's song Volevo un Gatto Nero.
Can we appreciate the fact that Mingi always hypes Jongho up during his high notes (even in concerts). If that’s not the sweetest thing, I don’t know what is
Fr, I love all of them. They all shine in their own way. I love how KQ protrayd them all. Even though they seonghwa and yeosang didn't have many lines they still stood out.
Can we please take a moment to appreciate HongJoong's acting and expressions? He turned this song into a theatrical experience with his body language and gestures. It felt like I was watching an award-winning musical...he is so talented it's honestly shocking!!
I love how Ateez never “cover” songs, they rearrange them sometimes and recreate them without taking away too much from the original. In this performance for example they incorporated so many elements that are from ateez themselves yet still put on an amazing stage paying full tribute to the song. Here’s a list of things I noticed they included: - two point choreographies from thanxx (1:55, 2:11, 3:17, 4:05) - 2:34 mingi’s “fix on” - 1:11 hongjoong’s laugh before he raps - 2:16 the dance break they originally performed at gda - background adlibs (0:33) - plus their charisma is on fire, mingi & hongjoong hyping and engaging the audience is so cool (0:37, 3:23) - 2:07 & 4:08 san’s kicks showing his taekwondo skills - 0:32 pirate king’s “will you be my friend?” gesture
As a vocalist, I'm often fairly impressed by Kpop idols having stable vocals in a live performance. The amount of training and practice necessary to pull off stable vocals while your body is moving energetically is underappreciated. That being said, the fact that Jongho was able to pull of those scaled high notes after TWO dance breaks is baffling to me. Truly, Jongho is beyond talented, he's skilled and professional. Best male vocalist of the 4th gen, don't @ me
I was not ready to be an ATINY because I was multifandom (that was last year) but then I realised that what I ACTUALLY wasn't ready for was their comedy, personalities, spoiling us with subtitles, amazing music and much much more. Trust me. None of us ever regret becoming an ATINY since we made that decision!
@@nineplustentwentyone26 hey same here! i used to be a multifandom and maybe i still am, so i never consider myself really a part of a single fandom but eversince i discovered Ateez, I am now ready to proudly call myself an ATINY and it's the best decision i ever made! ❤️💕

Can't get over with how Mingi slides to Jongho and hyping him up with the proudest smile when our maknae did THAT highnote, like at that moment he just push all this competition in the back and focus on his little brother with all of his heart, like he ALWAYS did
It is a remake of an Italian nursery rhyme. This Italian nursery rhyme was also popular in Korea in the 80s. Korean singer Turbo remade a long famous nursery rhyme in the 90s as a dance song, and sang that song again today. Again, the original song of this song is an Italian song. Everyone in Korea knows that this song is an old nursery rhyme. However, there are quite a few people who do not know if this nursery rhyme is an Italian song. In the 1970s and 1980s, there were a lot of translated nursery rhymes in Korea, and most people know that the nursery rhymes were adapted from foreign songs, but do not know where they were made. oh, i am a korean.
For context: ATEEZ is doing a cover of “Black Cat” a song by Turbo, a 1st gen group (which members you can see at the audience). That song is inspired by the infant italian song “Volevo un gatto nero”, but the lyrics are completly different except for the “감은 고양이 네로 네로 네로 (black cat black black black/ gatto nero nero nero nero) part.
I just saw the turbo performance and Ateez brought the song into the 21st century, i like both versions (and i also saw the 1969 italian kids song that it was inspired)
I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this but every time I watch other boy groups I tend and always get back to watch ATEEZ mvs or contents. It’s like they are pulling me back to them cuz they don’t want me to watch other boys but them lmao. The affection and admiration I have with ATEEZ is beyond my control . Idk. It’s unexplainable. I’m sorry but THERE’S SOMETHING WITH ATEEZ THAT OTHER GROUPS DON’T HAVE.
So here's what we got in this performance: Hongjoong: good at all position Seonghwa: His voice here literally sounded like honey. Also those pants are shining brighter than my future Yunho: His dancing always kills us and this performance proved it. Also I loved his small part with Hj. And his vocal part was freaking *chefkiss* Yeosang: He always ends up looking soft during some parts and that's what separates him from others. Also let's appreciate center Yeosang. And we also got to hear his deep voice San: With that lipstick he gave me joker vibe. Would love to see Joker San again. And his vocals proved again why he is lead vocalist of the group Mingi: We finally got dancer Mingi at center. Wooyoung: We got Will you be my friend pt2. And he sounds so amazing *chefkiss* Jongho: This boy is always killing me with his highnotes. He needs to go on masked singer asap. In short they killed this performance and deserved those standing ovation. Now lets get back to streaming atinys
Agreed with all of this but could we also talk about Yunho’s voice in this performance because holyyyyy his dancing is incredible yes, but I don’t see enough people talking about how unbelievable his voice is. 🥺
@@DC11961yes the one thing I loved most in this performance was we got to hear their vocals. Alot of times we focus on their dance or raps and kinda underappreciate how powerful the vocal line is. let me just edit it
can we all agree that ateez is just *THAT* group? THAT group with the incredible 20 year old 4th gen vocalist, THAT group with the most spitfire rappers, THAT group with the main dancers who choreographed this cover in under 2 hours, THAT group whose stage presence captivates everyone’s attention, THAT group that broke records in the almost 2 years as a band, THAT group that is garnering the attention of the whole of SK?
@@fofath_ I feel the same. I honestly believe they have been the "underdogs". Don't they come from a small company as well? I don't stan a lot of groups, I guess you can say I'm picky. ATEEZ just blew my mind.. I decided to invest my time and love into them. They are really talented. You can tell they work so hard. I love them so much! Atiny forever.
@@katherine5308 Yes, they do come from a small company, KQ Entertainment only has 2 groups and 2 solo artists I believe, so they don't have that 'history' thing others may have from former groups under the same agency.
Mingi center, Yeosang center, Jongho's vocal, Yunho's and Mingi dancing on the center, San's vocal, acting and expression, Hongjoong rap and expression, Seongwha's vocal, Wooyoung center and vocals, Everything was perfect This is the best performance I've seen from Ateez or the best performance I've seen !!! I'm so proud and happy for them 💜 They deserve this win !!
@@orchidsblue9708 I didn't wait that much to pass away, I died from the moment Sannie put the red lipstick on,I died again when Mingi came...They took my soul away,,
Can I give a shout out to HJ’s English? The way that he says “together” is so sweet and so clear. He says it perfectly and we know that the “TH” and “R” sound are hard for Koreans.
I came hear when I watched a clip of jong kook saying he was so touched with their performance because he never thought that ateez would prepare so hard for this stage. Ateez really do their 101% in every stage they step on whether small or big. 😭💛
they incorporated a lot of their own choreoes: -Thanxx's hand gesture -pirate king(will u be my friend?) -thanxx's ending dance part -wonderland gda dance break -wonderland dance part(where they hit the chest)
Yeah -they actually only had I think 2 days to put everything together-and it was a genius idea-instead of making a completely new choreography-they put together ones they knew and it worked !! While also adding the original songs choreography-it was a smart move as it showcased ateez potential, stage presence and talent to the domestic audience
ateez are one of those groups who don't need big props and stuff on the stage to get a crowd going or to make a performance memorable, there stage presence and talent does that for them
