I saw on Twitter that the book Mingi is reading is about morality, so it's like their morals and beliefs are what's protecting them and making them strong; that aside, this song was teased at the end of Fireworks and first released for Kingdom's finale and appeared at the end of Eternal Sunshine too, and this version seems to have added traditional instruments in the instrumental! Yeosang was trapped somewhere else and instead of normal nice yeosang coming back, hala yeosang came and he’s pretending to be normal yeosang, he also symbolizes peace here that’s why when he came they stopped fighting and started dancing together that also explains the bread thing because birds eat bread and they symbolize peace wow i said yeosang so many times but yeah i hope that makes sense. This MV was amazing!!!! The end of Deja Vu Yeosang was in a black suit struggling with the hourglass and at the start of The Real MV he was in the black suit. Then when they came together to form the light stream, he was in the white suit reunited with the group. Its like all the pieces of the puzzle are connected.

6:27 yeah and there is one more point; the book Mingi has. That is a Morals textbook. There is Morals subject in korean elementary school and middle school. In high school there is Ethics subject. Anyway so Mingi's power is from the textbook😂 the ☆morals power☆ 10:41 and also here, 멋(개정판) is written on it. it means "The Real (revised edition)"

Seonghwa said in Universe that Yeosang is a symbol of peace As we know he was trapped in Deja Vu till Answer so he is in The Real as a symbol of peace

My interpretation of this is there is two yeosangs. The one in black has (accidentally or not) gone back in time (when he broke the hour glass) The white one is from that time. And this is the very beginning of how they met before everything, realising their stronger together. Makes me hype just watching y’all vibe 💃🏻 In the MV you got 3 warring clubs/gangs that are trying to recruit Mingi the newbie into their clubs surrounding him at the beginning. With Mingi they are able to get Yeosang the symbol of peace that swooped in & brought them all together. Also Seonghwa’s huge brush reminds me of the one Minhyuk had in the hongjoong & 3racaha mayfly stage 😂

I don't know if this is true or not, but this is just my opinion. Apart from the meaning of the lyrics of the song, the meaning of the music video made me understand something. If you remember Ateez - Say My Name MV, you can see Yeosang is in a place. But at the end of the music video, he disappeared from there. Continue to Ateez - Answer MV, where you know that someone is wearing a white shirt and mask there. And after that it continues to Ateez - Deja Vu MV, where at the end of the video Yeosang is seen on a rooftop holding an hourglass. And the theory that I thought after watching the MV for The Real is that Yeosang is a person with a white shirt and mask. Because when he was on the roof of the building in Deja Vu MV, he seemed to remember something (Deja Vu), which was none other than that he was the one with the white mask, and he was also the one who seemed to have a plan that was going smoothly like in the MV this time. Because in this MV, he is seen wearing a white shirt with a small hat from Halateez. And that little hat is what convinced me why he wasn't shown this side of Halateez in the Say My Name MV and the reason why he disappeared from his place in the MV. It hasn’t been confirmed but some ppl think that the storyline of this MV was inspired by the Korean movie ‘Volcano High’ that was released in 2001. In fact it actually had a few direct references to the movie (eg. the supernatural elements, the softball scene with Wooyoung and Mingi), and the in my opinion the MV kind of gives off that old-school high school movie vibe.

ateez take a lot of inspiration from movies and books, so it is totally possible that they took inspiration from volcano high for the style of this one, I have seen a lot of other people mentioning that they get the same vibe from it and that they see some parallels :)

I saw some ATINY saying that the black shirt yeosang here is character of HALATEEZ

actually, regarding their storyline that they've explained since their debut, Yeosang got trapped in a parallel universe with the Halateez (version of ateez with the black outfits and black hats from hala hala) during a time travel and in this universe, emotions, arts and music have been banned by the government, so yeosang was stuck there since the end of Deja Vu (when we see him alone on the ground with the broken cromer and a hand reaches out to him) and in this MV, we see the others opening a "gate" (the lightning) for yeosang to travel back to their universe, as we can see yeosang is alone for most of the The Real mv (he is on the roof alone, and in the crowds with unknown people while the others dance) and looks at them from afar because he is stuck in another dimension and can only look at them from afar, so when they open the gate, we see yeosang looking at it from afar and smiling, because he sees the signal telling him that he can now come home to the others, that's why after the lightning bolt, the 4 others look at themselves weirdly, they're saying "did it work?", and then we have this plan of yeosang in the white suit joining them and saying hi to everyone, to announce his return! so no, he isn't representing peace,, but the whole of ateez's storyline is so much more complex, i couldn't even start talking about it in the smallest details now! we'll have more of the storyline explained during the world tour tho! hope this helps!
