ATEEZ aren't exactly your usual kpop group 😉😅 I ventured into the kpop rabbit hole 2years ago and I basically stopped listening to western music 😅 Once you go down that road, there's no turning back. so glad you guys are checking out different groups, there's a big ole rabbit hole you guys are about to fall through. Ateez has been working their way up into what they are today and I'm telling you guys if you have a chance to go to their concert (that they recently announced with multiple US stops) after checking out some more songs, definitely look into doing so cause its an excitiing experience to hear these song live. Just wanna put it out there if you're looking for new kpop artists, I would highly recommend checking out NCT, they have an experimental sound that does still follow the kpop dynamics of genre changing but with that experimental flair. If you check them out, I think you'll understand a bit more what i mean. Just some songs I'd recommend from them: 7th Sense (Performance Ver) Universe (Let's Play Ball) Superhuman Kick It Im definitely subbing and gonna be looking forward to more videos! But in the end, just do what you guys wanna do and dont feel pressured :)

Thanks for reacting to Ateez. They are why I listen to Kpop. Ateez is very good at mixing genres in a good way. They also are masters of nasty drops. Their producer Edenary really loves to mix things up and their songs often play with contrasts between sounds, textures, and speed. If you choose to listen to I suggest Hala Hala, Wave, Answer, Inception, and Wonderland because these all have different vibes. Also, for more rock vocal Ateez I suggest Black Cat Nero (it’s acHalloween MV of their Immortal songs cover of an old Turbo song but seriously take a brief listen to the original).

I'm black and have been listening to kpop for over 12 years. Korean music period is good, even their hiphop and R&B, I find them very soulful, not to dismiss other nationalities or cultures, but Koreans study black culture and have put their imprint on it with their diverse styles. I couldn’t even guess how many Kpop idol groups there, sometimes I feel like every week a new idol group is debuting. There are SO many groups so Kpop is extremely competitive, so if you’re not singing or dancing or rapping well enough or your videos aren’t standout, you just get overlooked. The standard is very high and you have to be polished from day 1 if you expect people to take a second look. That’s why the groups are so polished. I think there’s about 4,000 Korean entertainment companies in South Korea. Kpop isn’t a genre, it’s a brand. It’s a system. They’ll scout young talent from all over Asia and put them through the trainee program of singing/songwriting , rap and dance classes as well as language classes as they record songs in multiple languages. It’s A LOT. Just because you sign as a trainee doesn’t mean you’ll debut, the company could cut you at any time so you’re competing against fellow trainees for a place in the companies next group, (and there’s always a next group 😅). Some idols only train 1-2 years some trained as long as 10 years. Some trainees never make it to get traded/transferred to other agencies to debut in their group. They had the balls to, right in front of us clueless clowns, perform what we now know is a sorta-kinda prequel to Guerilla in a competition show they were in OVER A YEAR AGO. The show is called "Kingdom," and look up Rhythm Ta, the Awakening of Summer. (It's actually a remake from a band called Ikon-- in one of the episodes the bands had to perform each other's songs after reimagining them in their own way. And BOY DID THEY! You'll see 😉 )

I recommended listen to stray kids they are another Kpop group listen to the song Charmer or God's Menu or Maniac or Thunderous or back door, and last on would be Christmas Evel. This group music is amazing and has lot of different vibes but those not the only songs they have a lot more recommended songs, but I chose these one's because I like them and get a good vibe and reaction out of people in a good way lol

You are right when you saw all group can dance. And I Stan a lot of groups and I love them all. But ATEEZ cannot just dance. They killing it. They are not ready for dancing. The dance isn't ready for them. Watch their live shows, I promise you that you will be blown away. And for the dancing, check out Kingdom - Wolf and the beauty dance performance by four different Kpop groups and their main dancers.
