You're totally right when you say this reminds you of the same vibe as fake love. Another song is I need you. In terms of the sound, they all fall into the emo pop genre thus they might remind of each other. The mv in my opinion is very late 2nd gen and early third gen. That was like a period of emo phase in kpop while it was expanding slowly into other types of genres as well. I've seen a lot of people say this reminds them of 2nd gen and honestly I'm here for it. The reason I became a Stan of bts was bcoz of I need u. That song had this feeling of yearning and so much of emotions and same with a lot of other groups as well. While I do appreciate the current gen's sound as well I was extremely happy to see Ateez bring back this kind of concept and with the inception theme it was extremely fresh too.
One thing that I REALLY HATE is reactors getting scared to voice out their genuine opinions on a matter...like some Kpop fans are sooo damn judgy and scary that some reactors can't say what's on their minds but will just say something to please the audience... I feel like if you choose to watch someone then you might as well listen to what they think and only correct them if they're wrong,but I feel like comparison is not something bad... They can say whatever they want. No one is invalidating their points lol. Comparisons can be good or bad. He made a good comparison without any hate. However, us atinys are speaking about the bad comparisons that ateez has gotten from armys who were toxic and saying that Ateez stole BTS concepts. We know all armys aren't like this but we were just speaking about how its specifically the NEGATIVE comparisons that really affected Ateez and atinys who were supporting Ateez's content. I can also provide many examples of when Ateez has been compared to BTS and the comparisons were very hurtful and toxic. People are all allowed to have their own view on this tho and as an atiny this is my view.

He literally said that this concept is what he loves in K-pop, so there's nothing wrong honey. He didn't say that Ateez copied BTS. There's a difference. I only felt genuine appreciation from this reaction, so, yeah. :]
It's the fact that atinys know that when they are compared to Ateez, it's a horrible thing. When Ateez's 16 minute "diary film" released armys antis were arguing that ATEEZ copied BTS concepts from "love yourself film" which they didn't. Also they were criticizing Jongho for copying Jungkook's red hair style (like does JK own red hair?!). As well, Ateez reached 10 mil in 24 hours with Inception and someone on twitter compared how BTS reached 100 mil+ in 24 hours and mocked Ateez for not reaching as high as BTS. They also hate whenever Ateez do BTS covers (like wtf). So this is just half of the things that us atinys have to go through with immature armys.
I see what you mean for the Fake Love visuals - only thing for me is that I think this song and MV does the visuals better in that case, also Inception is just a legendary song my God
ATEEZ to me is the group that is most comparable to (early) bts. They do have a unique sound, their performances are immaculate. Koreas is still sleeping on them but wait 2-3 years and they will rock the whole country. Ateez are huge bts fans and they get inspired by them

I also love both BTS and ATEEZ. I have said from the beginning that if any group could follow BTS I thought it would be ATEEZ. That being said I was very shocked by the Fake Love & Boy in Luv vibes I got. ATEEZ is amazing their concept is great but this video, though its good and I like it, made me think to much of BTS. Now their new video is great to.

I totally agree with you. I’m an ARMY & ATINY, and I wholeheartedly believe ATEEZ are THE GROUP with the potential to follow in BTS’ footsteps. When I first got into BTS, I was mesmerized by their performances. Like the way they use their faces made their performances 10x better for me compared to the other groups. And that’s how I first fell in love with ATEEZ, they remind me so much of BTS and it’s only a matter of time until they get to that level. Just a matter of time. #Kings

Atinys just don't like ateez to be compared to bts in any way because of the crazy amount of hate they get from some armys especially on twitter. We are traumatized to the point we get so worried if they do for example a cover of bts(ateez are huge armys). They cover other senior groups too like exo, nct, shinee and i've never seen them get hate from those fanbases.
The MV reminded me of fake love too, but not on first watch. I think its more the feeling the MV and the songs give off, otherwise the songs don't sound similar and there isn't much linking the mvs besides the water and fire imagery.

No offence and I mean this is the kindest way possible since it's your opinion, but the comparison wasn't necessary, especially because every group should be able to do their own thing and formulate their own identity without being compared to another group. Dude they simply just stated that the style reminds him of fake love. It's just human nature that when we see or hear something, we try to relate it to the that we have seen or heard before. At the same you could see how he appreciated the song and mv on its own. The remark was just some seconds long in this whole reaction and yet I see everyone being pissed at his "comparison". I can understand it's due to the hate that the fandom received previously but that doesn't mean you stop someone from making a harmless comment. If he had said Ateez were copying bts or something like that, I myself would've been extremely disappointed and pissed about it but honestly in his reaction he said nothing offensive. There will always be comparisons and they are necessary, till there is no hate speech from the reactor, I think it's ok for them to give such opinions

Glad I’m not the only one who got fake love vibes from it! People need to chill, we didn’t say that ateez copied bts, it’s just a comparison and the overall aesthetic of the video gave off a lot of what fake love had.
