What makes Youth so much more meaningful and beautiful is Mingi wrote this when he was 22 and just came back from his hiatus and when kq heard this they asked Mingi who he wanted to do this song with and he said only Yunho.

This album was a rollercoaster of emotions first I’m dancing, twerking, screaming, then I’m crying 😭

btw fun fact! seonghwa said that his favorite part of matz are his lyrics ''Wait, wait, M-A-Tz like allergy, it doesn't suit me, Yeah, yeah, but on stage, our synergy, about to burst with response'' because despite his and hongjoong's preferences and life habits being completely opposite, on stage or during work no one understands him the way hongjoong does 🫶

56:09 during hongjoongs rap where he was rapping about the gps, basically saesang’s put a tracker on their van (they have already taken legal action, pretty sure this was a long time ago) and hongjoong is calling them ‘jobless’ for doing so🤣 ‘you can be busy too’ but yeah matz is a whole song just roasting the haters

Do y'all remember once in the WANTEEZ health checkup episode, Seonghwa had said that he was told from the doctor that his stomach is quite big?? and 50:05 He's implying that. There's a few noticeable mistranslations so I just wanted leave a comment here for at least a line LoL.. I can sense his presence in this lyrics so much! (50:01~ lyrics says : "Actually I already got quite big now. But yes, oh my doctor said There's plenty of room in my stomach")

what I love about this album is that each song represents an emotion: sadness, joy, anger (MATZ's lyrics mention the GPS that the sasaengs once attached to ATEEZ's car to keep track of them and Hongjoong directly says "you must be busy too" ) this album carries us through the era of "the world" which lasted for several years and the outro asks us what these emotions mean to us, and the answer is very simple, emotions are life ATEEZ have repeatedly said and are telling us that emotions are important and they decided to emphasize this at the end of this era as the conclusion and beginning of something new

About MATZ, Hongjoong said he wanted to go for something soft but Seonghwa said he wanted to do something crazy so they went fir it

For MATZ Hongjoong and Eden wanted a friendship ballad kinda like Thank You, Seonghwa pulled Hongjoong aside and told him he wanted something different so he convinced Hongjoong to reluctantly agree to make the song we just heard. When they were talking the members were asking how they knew the song was done and Seonghwa said he just felt when he knew the song was complete. Hongjoong really said whatever Seonghwa wants I’ll make it happen. The gps lyrics refers to about 2 years ago someone put a gps tracker on their Kia carnival that’s why Hongjoong says instead of the carnival you should’ve put it on the carrier meaning there luggage. Then he says you can also be busy meaning get a life Hongjoong also talks about selling numbers he’s talking about how a couple months ago someone was selling the members personal phone numbers.

What makes fin: will so beautiful is that it sounds like something Is going to end. But something exciting is on the way. It’s like a farewell and that’s what made me cry.

I saw on twitter that the GPS diss in Matz was a diss to the saesangs that put a GPS tracker on their van, ALSO WOO SAID THERES GONNA BE AN MV FOR ITS YOU IM NOT COMING OUT OF THAT ALIVE

Man.. it had been so long since a song made me cry. Jongho delivered his feelings so beautifully, the sorrow could be felt through his vocals. From first listen, not knowing the lyrics, I bursted out crying like no tomorrow. Knowing the lyrics I became a freaking open faucet that could not be closed. God, he's such an amazing singer. One of the best, if not already the best vocalist from 4th gen. His such a gem, I adore all his artistry and talent ❤

The unit tracks were a wonderful addition to the album. Ateez has grown as a group and they still are able to show us their talents and let us know that they're no where from being done. I was watching Andy and Jas and when the ship appears at the end of Crazy Form, they asked are they going back? And that made so much sense to me for this album. Since this was the "end" of an era, they must be going back to A with the changing of the moons. Now, I wonder, since they did all of the stuff in Z, what effect did it have on A? I agree with Tori about the world building, it's done so well. Many times, storylines die, but Ateez has kept it going to for years. I really hope that when it is all said and done, they put out a TV series or movie of the whole thing.

One of the things I love about this album is that we're getting to see so much more of the members ranges. They're proving that they can't be boxed in and are capable of so much more than what they're known for. San showing off his deeper tones. Seonghwa showing us his rap style which is so much different than his vocal style. Yunho's ability to switch from chest to head and back and that falsetto. Mingi and Hongjoong showing they're up for trying new things and evolving their styles. Yeosang's duality from his deeper grit to his higher, ethereal tones. Wooyoung proving over and over that when he sings we should listen because damn. Jongho proving he's not just a one-trick pony with the high belted notes, that he's capable of so much more than being niched into ballad-land. If this is the evolution of Ateez I am here for it and buckled in for whatever comes next.

This album.... Just wow. So far each World album has been my new favorite. No skips. Even the songs I wasn't sure about when I first listened, I now love. We Know, Emergency, Crazy Form, and Arriba: Pure dance party vibes! I've been skrr, skrr, skrring all day long. I love the darkness yet hopeful feeling of Silver Light. Totally my style. Possibly my favorite on the album, but it's so hard to pick. Dreamy Day feels like a return of their comfort songs for Atiny. The whiplash of the warm hug of Dreamy Day and the punch in the face of MATZ is something else. When I saw that Hwa and HJ were doing a song together, I was expecting something like Thank U. Not a hard core rap diss track! And I love it so much! I love hearing Hwa rap in his lower register. How is that the same person as the high notes in Utopia? The GPS line is calling a stalker who put a tracker on one of their cars. The vocals on IT's You are like velvet. Leave it to Ateez' resident flirts, Wooyoung and San, to write their one and only song about sex. Not sure how they roped Yeo into it. LOL I'm not prepared for the MV that Woo said was coming... Mingi's singing voice is so under used. I've loved it from the beginning. And what do I say about Jongho's Everything... I don't think there is anything I can say. Perfection.

When I tell you I’ve never cried while listening to a kpop album before….. but omg. I was so overwhelmed that by the end of the first song I was full on sobbing. I SWEAR ATEEZ PUT CRACK IN THIS ALBUM😭😭😭

I don't know if you watched the Instrumental Preview and the World Z Preview that Ateez had released as spoilers of the comeback, but I think in terms of lore they point that the album actually goes through both Universe Z and Universe A. In the instrumental preview, from We Know up to Silver Light we can see through a window what clearly is Strictland in Universe Z. In Crescent Part 2 we see the moon change from crescent to full moon (which in the lore means they can travel through dimensions). And from Dreamy Day forward we are looking through the window of what appears to be their bunker from the Fever Diary Film (in Universe A). When they released the preview of some of the tracks and titled the video "World Z Track Preview", it confirmed (at least for me) this theory that they have traveled (or are going to travel) back to World A and, maybe, become pirates again.

It might just be my interpretation of things but I feel that this album is a celebration of who they are and also a huge F U to their haters and to the kpop industry in a way. With Bouncy, the promotion in SK couldn’t have been bigger. But the general public is still not liking Ateez for some reason. And we know from various interviews that they are not going to change who they are to cater to that public. They kinda tried with the summer song Bouncy I think, as if it was a last shot. Now they are telling the industry that they are touring on all continents, have enough money, and will not change to please them. The level of diss in the various songs is quite obvious (at least, that’s how I interpret it). I feel like now that 5 years have passed, they are confident enough to just do whatever pleases them, musically speaking. Their real fans will follow them.

When hongjoong mentioned gps in Matz he was referring to that time a saesang (stalker fan) put a tracker on ateez’s van back in 2021 to stalk them. Police got involved, and there’s many news articles about it I believe they even sued the saesang. There’s even a video about it
