you can tell that even before debut they already had sooo much personality, charisma and confidence both individually and as a group. it's kind of rare to see a whole group like this even before debut. don't get me wrong, i'm sure they had their doubts and were scared and nervous for their debut obviously... however you can tell they were all confident in their skills for the most part and if anything they were just excited to debut. a lot of groups around debut tend to feel kind of awkward or shy which is very understandable but it seems that ateez were just ready to go even pre-debut, that may be the reason why they didn't feel like rookies at all when they started. not only were they great performers from the get-go, but their personalities shined a lot. they've all grown a lot and came a long way since then, but watching this now it's very understandable why they gained so much hype since pre-debut despite being from a smaller company. props to them honestly.
