Hongjoong gets angry when Wooyoung doesn't listen or talks back, but really it's Wooyoung who often puts a smile on his face. More recently during variety shows/contents we also see Wooyoung being thoughtful and supports HJ (like when he explains why HJ wears flashy clothes to studios - no other members have thought of the reason), while Hongjoong becomes more playful and teases Wooyoung. I think Woo in a way helps HJ to relax and find his inner child again, and during this high stress environment it's very important for their mental health. That's why HJ gave credit to Woo for this during one of the food shows/interview (with Woo & Yeosang)

I just came back here after watching an interview where HJ said that he is thankful of Wooyoung for having this type of personality. He's super annoying and clingy at the same time. HJ said "he's the only one who has that personality. he's the reason why we(ateez) are this close". Wooyoung is such a sociable and sweet person and he's like a glue that bonds the group together.
