The members said that it’s a relief Wooyoung joined because they were all quite shy around each other but especially Jongho. But when Wooyoung arrrived especially Jongho massively opened up more because of him and it brought all of them closer together.

Jongho is so independent but when he needs that companionship he pretty comfortably floats between all the other members (like others have said here). Some more often than others. Like we know in the past he's called Mingi his "favorite hyung" and they used to room together so I think they do have a special bond. When Mingi was on hiatus Jongho would do the classic Mingi face heart in photos. I think he missed him a whole lot. He also takes care of Mingi a lot of the time too. Fixing his clothes, hugging on him sometimes. I think Jongho is someone who keeps Mingi mentally/emotionally grounded when he needs it. Even in their lore storyline they're connected. I know you recently watched the fever road episode that included a part of it at the end but Jongho (in the storyline) had said Ateez was all he had left and he got upset when Mingi tried to say their time spent together was meaningless. Thus the fight in the diary film. Mingi talks about Jongho kind of pulling him back to earth in a way and I think they really do that for each other. Yeosang and Jongho do have a special bond too. Like others have pointed out, they're not as loud about their friendship as some of the other pairs but they do really hang together pretty often. Even on tour in the last couple weeks you could see Jongho clinging to Yeosang's arm in soundcheck. In one of the behinds for Thanxx Jongho straight up fell asleep on Yeosang. They said such sweet things about each other in the recent Ode to Youth photobook that came out too. I think they're often each other's comfort and peace. When things get crazy those two are the ones who often just sit there together and observe the chaos rather than partake. Lol. They also spend that extra time together at home since they're roommates. Both of them have also admitted to being not great at openly sharing their feelings and so think in some ways they're just kind of similar in that part of their personalities too. They're two strong people who weather things quietly on their own. Jongho's attachment to Wooyoung is probably one of the most noticeable to me. I have an entire album on my phone dedicated to clips of Jongho hugging people and like 75-80% of the time it's Wooyoung. xD Even as far back as the original Wanted series he would crawl into bed with Woo. Or randomly hug him at fansigns or while working. Jongho actually doesn't hate hugging and skinship at all but he's not usually the first to initiate things. Unless it's Woo. The more hilarious thing is that he often calls Woo his baby and acts like he's the older brother fawning over him yet half the time *he's* the one clinging to Woo like a baby monkey. 😆 Guess things can be a little mixed up when you're both the youngest and so close in age. That last scene in the Imitation log books where Woo showed up to bring gifts and celebrate Jongho's last day of filming (which happened on a different day from the others) spoke volumes to me about their relationship. Woo knew Jongho well enough to know that even though Jongho wouldn't admit it out loud, he really wanted someone to be there and celebrate his last day too. And so he went. And he brought the cake and took the pictures and did all those proud big brother things because that's just how their relationship is. ❤

Jongho's acting in Imitation was top notch despite him playing a supporting role. I know you're not done watching yet but I can say you'll love him and his character more and more the further it gets in the series. Honestly for me he stole the whole show. I'm so glad that of everyone in Ateez, Jongho is actually the one who has said he's most interested in acting in the future. The boy is MADE for it. Atiny really aren't joking when they say he's good at everything. Singing, carving watermelon flowers, sports, acting... he can do it all. 😍

yes, Jongho isn't paired with anyone in the group in terms of ship, but he has a soft spot for Wooyoung, also for Mingi but i think it's evident that Woo is his favorite hyung, with him he's very clingy despite Jongho doesn't like physical contact. In a Vlive he also said that when he's with Wooyoung he feels "so good" 😂 I love their sibling energy 🥰

Yeah so Seonghwa, Hongjoong and Mingi all have an older brother. Wooyoung is the middle child, but like, his older brother is only a couple of years older, and his younger brother is like 16 years younger than him (Wooyoung likes to say that he raised him). San and Yeosang both have an older sister. And Jongho and Yunho both have a younger brother. I actually feel like their at home sibling dynamics actually show up a lot in the group, depending on who they're with. I could honestly go on for so long about this hahaha

the most common pairing for jongho is with yeosang, they're both not that touchy so sometimes it's less noticeable (tho when it comes to jongho initiating skinship it is most often with yeosang (and then wooyoung)), but jongho tends to cling to yeosang quite a lot and I think he's referred to him as his comfort hyung before, they're a really soft yet chaotic duo, the most popular pairings for him after that are with wooyoung and mingi

The "mean" guy from Imitation aka the character of Hyunoh, the idol is actually Suwoong from Boys Republic and he is actually really sweet. He and Jun were actually on this "idol revival" kinda show called The Unit a few years back, so it was actually really nice to see them in a drama together.

The scene where Jongho says Wooyoung doesn't sound like his favorite is from Idol House. You should watch it. There's a hilarious scene related to age. I won't spoil it for. The interview in the same compilation was from DKDKTV.

I know that recently, Jongho Said his favourite hyung is Mingi and you can see them acting like real siblings, it's so cute TT.TT but I also saw video titulek "ateez being jealous of each other" I think where Jongho Said that he doesn't have a pair in Ateez like Woosan does or Matz and Yeosang turned to him with raised eyebrow like "and what am I? A potato?" :DDDDD

Jongho is especially close to Wooyoung, Yunho and Mingi. He's crazy about all of his hyungs and often compliments them all but those three he has been especially close too. Interestingly enough, Jongho and Seonghwa have also gotten really close because Seonghwa has said that when he has heavy things on his heart that he needs to talk about, he goes to Jongho because he is very wise. Also, Jongho has described San as a really cool hyung that he has a lot of fun with. Overall, I think he gets along well with all of them but probably gravitates between most of them for one reason or another. Another fun fact: Wooyoung said Jongho does not speak to any of them formally when they are at home and they don't mind.

I agree! they are all so close and treat each other as family. For shiping, usually it’s Yeosang and Jongho. But anyways, in ateez you can pair any one of them since they are all so close. I love watching videos of Seonghwa- Jongho, Mingi- Jongho, Hongjoong- Wooyoung, San-Yeosang, Yunho-San, Mingi-Yeosang etc. Even non atinys are saying that Yunho, Jongho, San and Seonghwa were so natural in imitation. They portray their roles very well. Hoping for more drama projects for them in the future.

Jongho and Mingi are particularly close, not in a shipping way (Jongho is usually shipped with Yeosang, and Mingi with Yunho) but in a brotherly way. Jongho has called Mingi his favorite hyung. Mingi jokes that he raised Jongho. In a video back when he and Jongho were roommates, Mingi said that Jongho would sit on the bed beside him, lean on Mingi and pout, saying "Hyung, why are you ignoring me?" (which is the most maknae thing you'll ever hear Jongho do lmao he's NEVER like that) and resorting to aggression if Mingi doesn't immediately give him attention lol. In that same video, Mingi explained that he worries a lot about Jongho, because the youngest in a group can often feel lonely and not show it. He said that when the others call him at night, he sometimes ignores them, but that he always picks up when it's Jongho 🥲 In general Mingi seems like an extremely caring person, he just tries (and fails lol) to portray a tough persona (maybe because he developed anxiety after debut, he now feels the need to mask his true self). But we all know he's a princess. The others said that when cameras aren't around, Mingi is always taking care of the staff and giving them food, giving food to people in general (in a behind the scenes video, Mingi asked Seonghwa if he had eaten and immediately went to get him food, and Seonghwa explained that "Mingi always takes care of my meals" + a few times Mingi even ordered food for fans when they'd been waiting for too long, and in general he always asks Atiny if they've eaten, using gestures if they can't hear him). When cameras aren't around, he even speaks in a different tone of voice as to make himself softer, less intimidating. In interviews you'll often see the others joke that Mingi fakes his deep voice in front of the cameras, but it's the opposite: behind the scenes he tries to be softer, in front of the cameras he uses his real voice. The others are still not used to it and there are clips of them (Yunho, San and Hongjoong in particular come to mind) getting flustered when Mingi speaks in his real tone of voice near them. Despite the endless teasing, the team seems to really adore Mingi, they say he has a childlike quality to him, maybe it's his innate cuteness, his bluntness/honesty even with uncomfortable subject (like his stage anxiety) or maybe it's just his energy and playfulness. Yunho, who's known him since school, said that the first thing that struck him about Mingi is how cute he is. Anxiety really did a number on him. Before the hiatus, Mingi hardly ever shut up in videos, he was a literal ray of sunshine. When he came back he was noticeably quieter and a lot of the time the others had/still have to try and involve him in the conversation. One time when Mingi was about to speak in a video, Hongjoong ressured him that "It doesn't have to be funny, just be yourself" because he could tell Mingi was nervous. A recent interview I really liked is that of Mingi and Hongjoong with Poongja; Mingi's chaotic, innately funny personality truly got a chance to shine. When the team's all together, he tends to take a background role, but when it's just a couple of members being interviewed, he gets the chance to stand out and he's hilarious.

Now that they finished their europe tour, i started again to watch the “Ateez the Record” and their logbooks from ep 1. The feeling is different now while watching it, i feel so emotional , i nearly cried actually coz of so much happiness. They have gone so far now but they are always humble and kind. I really love them…

Great mix of vids today. The 'loud' video always makes me laugh so much. And the Jongho and Wooyoung one is both hilarious and adorable. They have a special bond definitely. A lot of people may say that Yeosang is Jongho's person, but I think it's a case of a different type of bond with each member. JH and YS do have some super cute moments compilations though. I said before that I'm rewatching Imitation with my daughter. Surprisingly she liked Ryok from the start despite coming across as cold. She says (and I agree) that he's so cute when he smiles. I also like the character Do Jin (the Korean - Russian actor). He's perfect with Jongho, they're so funny together.

You're not wrong about jongho. In my opinion the age factor plays a big role as to why he doesn't have his ''person'' in ateez. A lot of people pair Jongho and Yeosang together, but I feel this is more cause the other members have their ships and these are the strongest in the group (woosan, seongjoong, yungi) but as far as I've seen since I became a fan, Yeosang and Jongho are close, yeah, but not as close as Yeosang is to for example wooyoung or even san, and Jongho to wooyoung or mingi. But at the end of the day they're all just a big family and they love each other very much, so it doesn't worry me too much

Jun (who plays Ryeok) from U-Kiss is adorable! Such a hard worker. Honestly, seeing him together with Ateez in a show was already to great. But then seeing that they get along behind the scenes is just so nice. Love to see it when people you follow all of a sudden work together. 🥰

About Jongho, yeah you are kinda right but also I'd say his and Yeosang's bond is something that is easy to miss at first but once you notice them it's hard to avoid because their often sweet and quiet moments are a constant. But as both Jongho and Yeosang are more introverted and don't initiate skinship etc that often, their bond is not as visible as some of the others bonds in ATEEZ. If I remember correctly Jongho has said at some point that Yeo is his favorite and his comfy hyung. Not sure if I'd say that Yeo is Jongho's person in ATEEZ, but the bond they share is very sweet and precious ^^ There are some nice compilations of them too!

I was at the concert where Hongjoong performed with the Cruella glasses (it was Madrid day 1) and me and my friend would swear that we saw him get on stage with the glasses being perfectly fine, but 10 seconds later Mingi swatted him while dancing and when Hongjoong looked at the camera again I realised he had one glass missing. It's a shame neither of us recorded it, because we were so busy laughing at the whole chaos that performance was, but I don't know, we both think we saw the same thing, so maybe Hongjoong was right and when he got on stage the glasses were perfectly fine, but he lost the glass so soon and fast that he might not have realised anything with the hype of the song.
