I always get bittersweet when I see Codename is Ateez clips because as a Yunho stan I just can't shake off the moment in the first episode when that mean-girl-acting Produce choreographer told Yunho he had no stage presence despite being the one who made the choreo, then they made him go first to show them something and Yunho did the Coco choreo and they were like 'why not trying something different' wHEN THEY Caught him off guard like that and yet they praised other members for doing the same ugghh it always pisses me off so much remembering that part, especially because Yunho looked SO sad/disappointed afterwards... And you might say "Well look at him now", but then you have those sh!tty "Atiny" and solo stans who love putting Yunho down and discrediting everything he does saying the same kind of stuff and it's just.... how can they not see that Ateez wouldn't be ATEEZ without Yunho? This is why many Yunho stans are always talking about wanting to see more of him ON STAGE, better parts that can make him stand out, because some people can't appreciate how hard he works off stage and maybe that's fair because we can't really see what goes on when cameras aren't rolling, but tHEN you have this video and they be talking like that and it's like, yeah Yunho deserves way better. I'm not apologizing for saying Yunho should get more opportunities to showcase his talents and shine Individually for once instead of just being content with this "yunho is so selfless uwu" narrative.
I've honestly never got the obsession some atinys have with yunho's expressions (saying he could "do better") and what's so bad about yunho being more the clean lines perfectionist performer type... I have seen so many atinys go off at synchronized-style groups and the whole "lack of individuality-raw emotions" talk they love to spout when they want to elevate ateez for their stage presence, and as a yunho fan for me it's... it just feels like yunho ain't winning in either scenario. he gets lumped with the rest of the group when people drag ateez for being try-hards, and then atinys come and say stuff like yunho's a great dancer technically but he could _try harder_ on his image, plus the unnecessary comparisons to other members... LIKE??? at this point I just tune out and ignore those kind of discussions because the disrespect yunho gets both ways no matter what is--whew... i can't take any of them seriously.

As a yunho stan, it annoys me how he is so invisible to atiny, even under his videos in ateez channel, they're talking about other members. Not just stage performance but basically everything about him is ignored. Even when he wins a game, atinys are talking about everyone else but him. Even in interview videos or basically anything, he is ignored. I solely come to yunho channels because that's the only place i see comments about him.
I hate how much he's ignored and underrapreciated for his talents and hardwork. He's always seen as this "adorable big teddy bear" which may be true but he's more than that. There's more to his character. He's got amazing vocals and his dancing is phenomenal. He's the best dancer in Ateez (ateez themselves said it) and his stage presence is actually really good and I hate that people bring his stage presence down by comparing with others. Yunho is a very technical and perfectionist kind of dancer. Just because his style is different from others does not mean that he doesn't have stage presence or smth. And he's constantly ignored by atinys. He's a literal ace. He can sing amazingly well, in fact singing professionals and coaches have many times ranked him within the top 3 vocalists in ateez. He is the best dancer in ateez. He actually showcased his ability to rap a bit in Kingdom recently. He also is acting as a main lead in imitation right now. And his visuals like the others in ateez are stunningly amazing. It just does not make any sense to me that he's ignored and brought down by certain atinys. He's so much, but people don't see it because they don't care to look past his "big teddy bear" and "boyfriend material" part of him.
When I first started stanning ateez I was attracted to Yunho cuz of his dancing. Naturally, I was kinda shocked to find out that his fancams consistently seem to have low views as compared to other members’ fancams! Especially given that his dancing is so captivating??? I never really understood that. Yunho definitely deserves more recognition :(
He's always so graceful and elegant when he is dancing,he has a great voice also,he is so handsome(very tall for k pop industry) and he has a beatiful smile.
Because Ateez fans tend to like the darker intense demon line. It’s a shame that they don’t appreciate the technical perfection and grace this guy exudes. Plus in group choreography Yunho seems controlled to keep in balance with everyone. Alone he truly lets loose.
They're all good dancers but every time i watch yunho's fancam, my mind always goes "ah yes this is why he's the main dancer". Yunho's movements when dancing is not the overly flashy kind but you bet it's so satisfying to watch. Now KQ, give us the next solo dance performance of yunho again 😁💛
Even if yunho doesn't stand out as much as the others, no one could deny that he is one of the backbone of ateez. Their American choreographer only send them videos for their dance and the member often compliment yunho for getting the dance right and fast, the reason why they are also so organized when dancing is because of yunho's assistance. I also notice that almost professional dancer reactors in youtube likes yunho, even the professional dancer in ateez codename. For me, yunho has a different charisma than other performers, a charisma that professional dancers only have. His voice is also heavenly, maybe other just don't appreciate or notice his dancing style because he's tall and i h eard that it's not easy for tall dancers to be noticely good. He's one of those tall men who broke the prejudice of tall dancers not standing out enough. My cousin is a very tall dancer and at first other criticized his moves because of his tall physic but real dancers always compliment him.
I am a multistan. I started watching Kingdom for Stray Kids and fell in love with Yunho. I started stannig Ateez because of him. He was the one who caught my attention from the first moment. All of them are incredibly talented, no one can deny that. But some members are extremely underestimated, like Yunho and Yeosang. Yunho is just magical. Watching him move on stage is just so satisfying. He can capture one's attention even when he is dancing in the background. That shows how captivating his stage presence is. Even though he is the tallest member in the group and one of the tallest idols in the industry, his height does not take away from his grace on stage. When a tall person dances, if he is not that talented, he looks awkward on stage. Nearly all of the best dancers of the industry are relatively short. Look at Taemin and Jimin. There are a few dancers who are both tall and graceful. Kai is one of them. And Yunho is another prime example. He is not stiff when he's dancing and it is a privilege to watch him dance. His voice is also not appreciated enough. Jongho is a powerhouse. Seongwha is just amazing. But I can't understand why people keep ignoring the treasure that is hidden in Ateez, and I'm not just talking about Yunho. Yunho has such a sweet and soothing voice. His voice can be both light and deep. The first ever song I have listened was Utopia and the beginning part was what captivated me. And it is Yunho's part. Also Yeosang... His voice is just something else. When I first started stannig Ateez, his voice was the one I recognized easily. It just melts my heart and touches my soul. And lastly, can we just talk about Yunho's visuals? That man is breathtaking. How can people not notice how incredibly handsome he is? I am still amazed by how good looking he is. No matter what he's wearing and what hair color he uses, he is always mesmerizing. Yunho, you are amazing no matter what anyone says. You are an amazing dancer, performer, singer and an amazing man.
I think he has a huge hand in helping the boys become has strong as they are, I have a lot of respect for him. Apart of me feels like I think he gets overlooked because there’s a lot of bold looking members in the group. They often tend to favor more flashy ‘sexy’ styles, nothing wrong with that but it’s true. But the more I watched him and his fan cams, I’m like the hottest thing about him is his confidence while dancing and that’s much more subtle than being flashy. Part of that is the image they give him too, I’ll be real honest and say his hair style really hides him (my favorite is his short middle part black hair). They try to keep in his ‘boyfriend’ persona. Both Jongho and Yunho have had some the least variety in styles (those super thick bowl cuts). But when they are styled completely in photos or performances it makes a huge difference, seeing someone’s eyebrows while performing is so weirdly important. Give this boy the right set of tools and he’ll just keep mopping the damn floor, he’s so talented and I can’t wait to see more of him.
This. He makes dancing seem effortless and smooth. Most Ateez fans seem to prefer those who dance like their bones are breaking. the hair and persona thingI suspect it also affects his dancing. He’s locked into the sweet guy persona that he doesn’t get to go full maniac in group choreography plus he seems mindful about his wing span and always tries to blend in

Yunho inspired me to dance. I really admire him and I wholeheartedly wish that he gets the recognition he deserves. Every time I watch code name is ateez I just want to go back in time and pat yunho on the back😢 keep on dancing gracefully, you’re doing great😭
Yunho is really one of my favorite members to watch. He has like the calm confidence but he is also humble and it’s so refreshing to see his reactions when he gets praised. The dark psychotic image of ateez tho is not something that can help him shine through his dancing. His dance style is more like tvxq’s mirotic or 2pm’s home kinda vibe. Or pretty much every song of infinite which were the idols that were greatly praised for their dancing style. He has like the “smooth criminal” kind of vibe. I also loved his 2step dance. His moves and expressions there are really over the top. I think if he were to do a solo cover or something of the short it should be something with this kind of feeling. He needs to be promoted better and according to the style that suits him
I'm a fairly new Atiny. But I am so obsessed with the omg lol. The person that caught my attention the most at first was Hongjoong and secondly Mingi. As I watched them more I just fell in love with Yunho so hard 😭 he is the perfect package of everything good. Looks, personality, dance, vocals, his voice even fits amazingly in rap, an actor 👏🏻 this man deserves countless praise. I believe he is truly the dark horse, the hidden ace of the group. Alot of casual fans gravitate to other members. If I was a casual fan, I'd probably be stuck on other members too. Those who follow Ateez closely will know what an absolute all rounder he is.Fighting Yuyu!
No because I'm actually in love with Yunho's dancing. I started paying attention more during Kingdom and my STARS this man is so good! I've fallen for the way he executes moves, and he strongly reminds me of Yugyeom when he dances. He never looks awkward despite having such long limbs and his energy is amazing. I have a much stronger appreciation for Yunho after I looked a little closer.

When I was first introduced to Ateez, I didn't know Yunho was the dance leader. I thought it was San because his dance stand out a lot. But after went through their several performances, Yunho's dance style and dancing attitude became brighter in my eyes. Without knowing he was Ateez's dance leader, I considered him as the lead dancer for the group. Then after watching lots of their videos and fan videos, I discovered that Yunho is actually Ateez's dance leader. And I am happy that he shines in my eyes even before I knew anything about him or his position in the group. Go Yunho ✊

hmm this makes me a bit...bitter? as someone who is yunho-biased. in the sense kq got themselves a nice in-house choreography teacher for the group but forgot yunho was a main dancer the second he was done filming his pre-debut coco solo. thanks to the way his idol persona is marketed he is barely talked about for his performing,, we gotta keep hearing about mr. puppy, the members' energizer, ooh he works so hard off-stage~~ OK and when will we see him working sumn good ON STAGE? i've seen people saying yunho stans can't complain since he started getting center time in wonderland era (three whole eras after debut, mind you), but how many interesting killing parts has he gotten? showstopper moments? "dance breaks" that last more than like five secs and aren't ended by someone else? for a main dancer he sure spends a lil too much time chillin at the back.. Fact remains it took kq about two years to pick it up and remember they had a whole yunho that is more than a boyfriend fantasy and the cute goofy dude... I'm tired of arguing this, i'm not asking for yunho to get san's theatrics or woo/hwa's sexy moves i know that's not his "role", but if choreographers can be thoughtful enough when crafting fitting parts for certain members, they can fcking get yunho something good for once too? he's a great technical dancer, give him complex moves, if people think he doesn't stand out enough as an idol dancer, then just let yunho unleash the pro in him and shut everyone up all with a straight face. all the excuses ain't just cutting it anymore. i wanna see more stuff like those snippets of solo parts he started gettin oh so recently. more consistently. in title tracks. and big events/stages; we literally have no hd/official version of his One dance break, so much for his first "stand-out" moment smh
Don't worry, Kingdom is coming. KQ would be absolute idiots to not let him shine during Kingdom. I hope Yunho stans get the content they deserve. He's not my bias, but I love his energy and dance technique. I agree with you that they are totally underselling him, but I am hopeful for Kingdom.
I see where you coming from but I disagree about the opinion that Yunho spends too much time on the side or the back. If there is a Main Dancer in Ateez that barely gets center time and is rarely featured in dance breaks it would be Mingi. He had the dance break in Wonderland and had good center time during wave/Illusion era but other than that he is always at the back or the side. Yunho on the other hand is nowadays pretty much guaranteed to get center time and be at least somewhat evolved in their dance breaks. And about more complex moves and choreos that pretty much only happens on special dance stages when they cover hip hop songs. tbh honest I dont see ateez doing more complex dance routines in the choreos to their songs.
okay. this is a yunho video and i'm talking about yunho. why bring up other members 🙄 this happens all the time, atinys do anything to dismiss these concerns about yunho and somehow make it about someone else. but okay, i'll bite. first, did you read my comment? his "guaranteed center time" is literally just his 5 sec lines two/three times throughout the song, i invite you to watch yunho's fancams (other than maybe answer), and see how often he's placed away from the front line like he's an afterthought, if you can notice mingi, you can notice yunho too, especially since people use the dumb "they're tall" excuse to justify them being pushed to the side. second, updated positions were submitted for a recent kingdom participants info sheet, mingi isn't listed as a 'main dancer' anymore. and you seem to forget about WIN, Precious, THANXX... all recent, he's always been given good parts and as a rapper has guaranteed at least a whole verse for himself, you're the one selling him short. he has great highlight parts all eras up till the health issues appeared in wonderland era. right to that, most importantly, he has underlying back and hip issues which most likely keep him from going all-out all the time, you can see it in his fancams, if you pay attention they have changed small moves from choreos (SMN for example, there's a slide in the -first, i think- prechorus that all of them used to do but now yh and mg stay at the sides kneeling for that part, and in many stages now only san does that part at the end where it used to be yh-sn-mg then the others rise) so obviously they're not risking mingi over-exerting himself as back and hip issues are long-lasting, so more than kq forgetting abt him, they're being careful and thoughtful of his situation, i hope you realize yunho and mingi's situations are not comparable at all. right, so yunho gets nothing. i was just giving some examples; like i said it's ridiculous his only highlight moment like ever was 17 secs at a random award show with sh-tty lighting and camerawork and no chance to rewatch again in half-decent definition, even when they have the chance yunho is never seen as an option, i'm still waiting for a truly hitting part in a title track for him, again he's supposedly a main dancer according to all they say and all this "ooh he's so good and he's so good to us", so i have basic expectations, but it's april 2021 and it's still the same underwhelming feeling.
Gurl you literally captured my sentiments. I’ve always found it a little unfair that yunho is always not given as much lines or center-position or standout moments for a *sufficient* amount of time in any song. It’s always fleeting. And this is especially given how talented he is, he’s the main dancer for god’s sake! He definitely should be at the center for most parts. I also think he sings pretty well. Sometimes I think KQ is just biased towards the other members cuz they’re the popular ones urgh. Honestly, the word underrated accurately captures yunho :(
When lots of fans of San said he is the best dancer they should come here and see.. its will always be Yunho as the main dancer and the one they respect a lot and listen to him.. San,hwa and qooyoung maybe improved now to be the best but never forget who helped them to be today
I'm a new Atiny and came to stan Ateez after watching Yunho acting in Imitation. Other Ateez members werein the drama too, but I didn't know that until a few days after stanning the group, lol. Yunho caught my attention immediately, and I was cheering for him instead of the lead actor. He is and will always be my ult, though nowadays all of Ateez are in my bias line. I got sad when I realized a lot of people, including some Atiny members, overlook him. That's why I got SO DAMN HAPPY with this video, because it shows that the other Ateez boys cherish Yunho and recognize his talent. It's very important that he feels loved and supported by everyone in the group and also by Atiny. He often has a hard time expressing his feelings, but despite that you can FEEL his kindness and passion in everything he does and says. I'm sorry for making this long comment, in the end I just really wanna thank you for making this video. It warmed my heart. I hope Yunho knows how many of us love and support him.
Delayed but welcome aboard, Hottoek. It's up to us to promote him. It's a bit difficult though cause he hasn't done a solo, singing or dancing, after debut except in lives. Still waiting for his studio-produced cover. With Outlaw though, the views of his fancams increased. We need to do more this coming comeback.
When I first saw Ateez, it was Hongjoong that I perceived to be the prettiest. (Hongjoong is without a doubt one of the prettiest men I have ever seen. In terms of his facial physiology, he is a real beauty.) Then I locked San in my heart as my bias. He is still there (No words can explain his loveliness)! But over time, I realized how cute Yunho is. He is talented, creative, dances great, is a good actor, sings well and is the boy you want to be with. To which one feels naturally drawn. All in all, he is the most attractive man for me now!!!!

who is the US choreographer that they mention in the beginning? (i’m not too familiar with ateez’s earlier days) idols like yunho who have more technical skill, sharp execution/attention to detail, and natural groove/body control will unfortunately always be overlooked by dancers who are more ‘performance’ driven because the general audience is more inclined to notice dramatic and over-exaggerated movements and facial expressions, which they assume equates to being a better dancer. i hope yunho gets more opportunities to showcase his skills as main dancer. also i’m relieved to see there are other people out there who see that yunho deserves more recognition. :’(

I think one of the reasons Yunho being underrated cuz he does look like a puppy and has this soft & kind aura while most of ateez's songs are super fierce, hence people tend to focus on the demon line members. Anyway, he already stole many atinys' hearts cuz he's talented and being a super adorable human.
I don't like making comparisons but his "popularity track" for lack of better terms reminds me of Jhope. Before BTS debuted Jhope was kinda the trainee all the entertainment companies wanted and was really popular, and he even had a sort of "mini" debut by featuring on Jo Kwons "Animal", similar to how during the KQ Fellazs era Yunho was mentioned alot by top choreographers and had his own performance video and got picked for a Millennium video. After BTS debuted Jhope was one of the least popular members due to him not getting the killing dance parts, not getting much center time, and not being the stand out more experienced rappers that Yoon, and Joon were at the time and he was just known mainly for his offstage sunny personality, similarly Yunho also doesn't get the killing dance parts, doesn't get much center time, and doesn't get the amazing high notes everyone zeros in on for vocalists that Jongho and now Hwa get, and hes mainly known for being puppy Yunho. I hope similarly to Hobi tho that Yunho will get that era that really calls tons of attention to his performance and him as a whole that sticks because while Wonderland and Inception/Thanxx did bring him attention I feel like after the initial hype died down he was somewhat "forgotten" again in terms of his performance skills. I cant wait for the day he gets more recognition as a whole. (also sorry this was long had thoughts that needed to be put out there)
I'm an army but i don't think yunho being underrated comes any close to jhope. Hobi is definitely talked about a lot in all videos, because after all the " jin and jhope" being underrated stuff, people started talking about them to the point, where talking about popular members became a crime and maknae line stans were bashed for just talking about vminkook . If anything about him is underrated "Jhope is less-biased, have less fancam views compared to other members" . Other than that he's definitely more talked about and his achievements are immense for someone who haven't even had solo debut. The case is completely different for yunho, that's my opinion on this.
Yes that’s currently what’s going on with hope. I’m talking about what happened and the history leading up to hobi’s popularity now reminds me of what yunho is going through now/already went through. They both were popular pre-debut for dance, after debuting they were some of the least talked about members in their groups and when people did talk about them it was purely because of their sunny(hope)/puppy like(yunho) personalities not really for their talent. Hobi got recognition for the boy meets evil dance and bs&t and then hype died down until his solo stuff came out and he’s been rising in popularity ever since and is on similar footing now as the rest of his group members. Yunho was in the “bs&t stage” if you will for thanxx then hype died down and now that imitation is dropping he’s gaining more attention again(what happens after that who knows). I was just looking at the parallels in their “popularity history” if you will
