Idk if someone else already said this but Youth is even more meaningful once you remember that yunho & mingi were friends pre debut & before joining KQ. They talk about the hardships of youth in this song. Mingi also wrote this while he was in hiatus & going through a tough time. Yunho is his best friend & they truly cherish each other. At their recent tour (which started last weekend) they start this song with a phone dialogue (which is the phone conversation they had before both going to their auditions, little did they know they were auditioning at the same company & would both be part of ateez).
You have to on the subs when it comes to ateez. They have amazing, meaningful lyrics that we all can connect to. It's so inspiring. They always brought their emotions into the lyrics. 😊
Jongho’s vocals are superb, truly. He’s done some great covers, I think the two that stood out to me most were his Wildflower cover, and Don’t Go Today. Even if y’all don’t do a react video to those covers, they are worth checking out! Keep making great videos guys! I love your commentary and just your genuine appreciation of music ❤❤
I will always love a good “Baby, please” Ballad. Everything is the most memorable song on the album for me. Also, my first time seeing Jose’s full face (his hair is usually in the way)… Papi’s looking good 😏😉

Thank you for another fun reaction! I’ve started getting excited when I see your reactions pop up. Ateez is about to go on their world tour. We are waiting on the dates to drop any day now. They just performed their first two concerts and… WOW. It is quite a production. They perform all the unit songs. There are a ton of fancams out there. Mingi wrote most of the lyrics in Youth when he was on hiatus for his mental health. He and Yunho were best friends from school before they ever joined KQ. They auditioned separately and only found out after the fact. While Mingi was on hiatus, Yunho was still working and had to support him the best he could between all the schedules (During this time they were promoting Fireworks and then Dreamers, participated in the competition show Kingdom: Legendary War, and Yunho was the second male lead in the kdrama Imitation (along with Jongho, Seonghwa, and San in smaller parts). In the behind the scenes video for their Wonderland Symphony No 9 performance on Kingdom (on KQ’s channel), you can see they sometimes didn’t even get to sleep for a couple of days.). In the new concerts right before performing Youth, they recreate a phone call they had the night before they both auditioned for Ateez. And Jongho absolutely slays Everything live. His voice is insane. I went to a concert last tour and his voice was so powerful it just cut through the arena. I can only imagine what Everything will sound like in person.
KPapi's gonna be all in their feels today 🥹 it was a rough time watching Everything and then IU's song when they came out at the same time, but then you were adding Youth into the mix too 💔 ah, our ATEEZ outdid themselves on this album. I thought Outlaw album was impossible to pick a favourite, but Will has so much variety that it's more like a favourite for every mood! Jongho has some amazing covers if you need to see more of his vocals (Wild Flower, his OSTs Gravity etc, So You - from the immortal songs contest that as a group Ateez have won 4 times! They barely invite idols/idol groups to that show so 4 wins is an insane record of theirs). Thanks for another great reaction!
If you get a chance, you should react to the cover of IU's Love Poem that Jongho did with Stray Kids' Seungmin and BTOB's Eunkwang on Kingdom: Legendary War. I recommend the full version so you can see it without interruptions, at least the first time, though the regular version with the other groups' live reactions is great. It is a legendary performance.

i dont know if someone already asked or you guys already watched, but you should really check out their work on kingdom! especially mayfly (Ateez/Straykids/BTOB). the three groups were paired together creating a rap unit, vocal unit, and a dance unit. the vocal unit covered love poem by IU and i honestly think mayfly did an amazing job overall.
Jongho is a once-in-a-generation voice with the likes of Jonghyun and Onew from SHINee (2nd gen boy group) and Chen, D.O and Baekhyun from EXO (3rd gen boy group). There hasn't been a single 4th gen boy group idol who even came CLOSE to what Jongho is able to do after SM Entertainment stopped breeding the top-of-the-game vocal talents in the scene with their 4th gen groups.

Yunho's voice is so heartbreaking during his verse when he danced, like, god, I FEEL HIM, I dont even know what I am feeling BUT I FEEL HIM T_T and Mingi's voice throughout the entire song was like, hopeless and resigned to fate, but towards the end its slight hopeful, which is contrasting to Yunho who was more hopeful in the beginning. So its kinda like, In the beginning Yunho was supporting Mingi, but by the end of it its MIngi who is supporting Yunho.

I cant say Jongho is the best vocalist because I dont really know other groups but Im sure that if we are talking about high notes he is >The Guy< The pronunciation of Yunho is the same as "Yuno". I usually dont relate to emotional songs but Youth gets me good, especially the MV, and Mingi said he was part of the direction of it. Ateez fun fact: Yunho was actually supposed to have a unit song with Jongho, but Mingi made this song back when he was I think 20 or 21 and really wanted to release it with Yunho who he's known since high school (~8 yrs). So Jongho ended up getting a solo song and Youth became a unit song. Oh also Jongho has admitted that IU is one of his biggest role models. He went to her concert actually 😅
You guys should react to ATEEZ's live performances, take a deep dive into it. Because if you think the MVs and their music is great, the live performances are even better 😍 It'll give you goosebumps 😆
