Hi Everybody, Thanks for checking out the video! Let me know what you think of the AtGames Flipper Lag Message and the Big Clearance Sale coming up at The Brick
Love your posts. I can't believe you haven't gotten your 4K table yet. Guarantee you'll love it. I've bought all the Zen tables available right now and I can say without a doubt I won't buy anymore until they fix the lag. Yes they've taken steps to cut the lag in half but it's still there. Too bad because they're tables look great.
The AtGames announcement was crap. It sounds as if they’re just now getting started on trying to fix it. Why haven’t they been in contact with Google and Epic prior to this? They’ve known about the issue for roughly 6 months now. It could also be read as them throwing their hands up in the air that they’ve run out of resources to fix and had to involve others. Whole announcement is a bad look. Them turning comments off on all of their posts sure seems to indicate they don’t want any criticism too
Happy the Brick has their price guarantee…just picked up Dragon’s Lair for $698 from there, so will definitely go back to get my $100 from them during the sale!! Thanks for the updates!!
Everyone that's played mine said something about the lag. I never said a word about it. I just let them play and they would immediately say something was wrong. So much so they lost interest and went to a different game besides the Zen tables.
Im glad for the information. I see the same flipper speed on Zen Steam tables OTG vs Native and I have a pretty good Gaming PC 12900k, 3080ti. The Fx3 tables OTG play as good as Magic Pixel. Hopefully the underlying issues with Unreal Engine can be fleshed out soon.
Hi Michael! Awesome video, I'm in Canada as well and wondering if the Adam's family pinball listed at the brick comes with the SSF kit. It's currently listed for $1999.99 and would buy if it did.
The Zen flipper lag varies by table. Of the games I have played so far Attack From Mars isn't bad, Addams Family seems vastly improved, and DS9 isn't that bad, but the other two Star Trek Tables are unplayable. Lag for Pinball FX tables through Steam seems similar. Still, with the Trek tables being as bad as they are I probably won't buy any more Zen Tables until they figure the lag out, so it was nice to see that email.
I bought a toy shock table top Black Hole from FB marketplace for $150, was like new still had the plastic. The flipper lag is terrible, it’s not worth $100 in my opinion.
I just spent $1,300 on a decorative, non-working pinball machine. Received my Attack from Mars 4K pinball. Couldn't even play it due to the server issues that were down for almost a week. Once I got it up and running, they mapped the solenoids to where they aren't the same button on each side. Then you have the flipper lag. On top of that, three pixels just went out on my play screen. Put in a ticket and they proceed to give me a link to a RU-vid video with 39 views explaining how to change out the buttons? Absolutely horrible. Stay far, far away from these machines until AtGames can prove they can put out a quality product.
Contrary to one of your cohorts statement about this being a software constraint, it's a hardware issue,so the options are to either dial down graphics, or reduce physics. Probably a bit of both. This Unreal version is not super ARM friendly. Betting they will strike a balance and ignorance will be bliss. 4K pinball can be hard- if using graphics engines that expect more hardware love to get er' done. They can't go the 1440P route to fix it, since a 4K display does not geometrically fit 1440P. It would be a tad blurry.
thank you for the heads up video, however, I'm looking online and the Brick just has the Class of 1812 3/4 scale pinball machine listed on sale for $498, any idea what happened to the Black Hole version?
Different versions are available from different distribution centres. If you went into a store and told a salesperson what you were looking for they could probably get it for you
