Just wanted to add some more points it cannot be used in bathrooms or kitchens the reason being it catches stains very fast and it's difficult to remove the stains. Another point being it should not be cleaned with any detergent or strong floor cleaner. Since it's hand made the strong detergents or cleaners may destroy the colors. It should be cleaned with clean water and once in six months should be cleaned with a mixture of one liter of water and 100 grams of coconut oil. This way the shine is long lasting. These tiles if maintained properly can last upto two generations i,e 60-80 years with the same amount of shine and appeal to eyes.

Floor will get softer when the years goes. Try to put rise husk and have to walk above that to get polish. but it’s not much feasible once the construction is done and when you are living inside the house

Sir some people are telling that in a long run it will be fading and there will be cracks in between tiles and it's not the same quality what we used to get 30-40 years before. Is it true? And the flooring won't be as smooth as verified tiles? Please suggest.
Hi sir, what you have said is some true and some not 1. In life long run, athangudi tiles tends to be softer and finer which seems to slightly dull.. 2. It’s a crack which will be formed from the first day of installation occurred generally but it won’t damage your tile unless they are created by quality people. If you need much fine tile. Sir. I have used this tile in one of the projects which I designed. Since it was done during the mid way of the project,the shine is lost.. how do I get the shine back. Pls advise.
Hi DURAI.. Normal tile factory finishing (so it will be good).. Athangudi tile is hand made (but factory finishing edukuduka mudiyathu.. but it will be good bro)
As for now I haven’t seen the end days of this tile.. you can buy a good tile which can be for life time.. but you have to be Careful before choosing vendor
