Athena on ROH vs. AEW, turning heel, and rediscovering her love of wrestling 

Athena has been KILLING IT as ROH Women's Champion! She looks like she's having hella fun, and I'm so happy for her! And I can wait to see what she does next, hopefully join in on that Outkast/Originals storyline. She'd be perfect for it!

Always fun to listen to Athena. She has such lovely energy and she reps nerd culture so well.

I love Athena Palmer. My kids and I went and saw her at Warrior Wrestling here in Grand Rapids, Michigan and it was awesome. She pointed out my daughter who had a sign in support for her. It made their night.

Waiting tables is absolutely traumatic. I did it for 3 years. Last time was over 8 years ago now. I still have nightmares. Extremely stressful job. Not only will you Hear about every single mistake you make, but they'll also withhold Tip which is your literal salary. Doing it full time, week after week...its awful. Ya take a server job to make some fast cash, and maybe get "ahead" a little bit, and then move on. Some people act built for it, but generally they all have really cruddy vices like cigarettes, booze, marijuana, FOOD!, loads of vices. Its a real tough gig for sure.

I watch ROH regularly now along with 2 Darks, Dynamite, and Rampage. Lots of great stuff.

Never got into the Ember Moon character but I am such a huge fan of Athena and everything she's been doing in RoH, pretty much the main reason I've watched since it started back up.

There's a reason the company was named ATHENA ELITE WRESTLING. Lets go! Hopefully they bring her into Dynamite in the near future. She's gold and one of the best they have. Have her steal a win for the TBS title and have a run with it with her current character for a while. She'll do wonders with the belt and this will prepare her for eventually taking the World Title down the line.

I really became a fan of Athena after seeing a 100 moves compilation of hers while she was in the indies. So much versatility, athleticism, creativity and fluidness. She's been so dope in ROH, and AEW that when she beat Mercedes Martinez, Mercedes didn't even get a rematch if so I didn't know about it. She brings life that ROH women's title, I've seen other women hold that belt, and they were cookie cutter faces, and heels compared to Athena.

Athena and Valkyrie had a Hardcore match where Athena came up with this innovative spot. Where Athena standing on the top rope and suplex Taya Valkyrie through a High Mountain of Chairs on the floor OMG. Tony Khan please put this on Dynamite on live Television. Athena is so genuine, in a fake cookie cutter place where she used to be, I can see it not working there. Good to see she is in a good place where she can be herself and show off her talent not just in the ring but on a microphone as well.

Of *ALL* the releases WWE did. Releasing Athena (Ember Moon) was the dumbest and to this day the *ONLY* release i feel sad about. Ember Moon should have won the Evolution 2018 Battle Royale to get a title shot against Ronda Rousey back then. Oh Well Athena is at a better place now - i still however hope that someday i will hear the Ember Moon theme and see her again in WWE and get the *MASSIVE* push she deserves.

It is hard to re-think the wrestler's current names. Its so hard to think of Jon as Jon and not Dean.

Genuine note for Athena: record yourself talking every once in awhile. There’s many filler words in your speech. Most notably here was “like” (I.E. “and like”, “but like”) It adds a certain rhythm to your speech that sounds closer to “valley girl” than “Warrior goddess”. Can make it tricky to listen to an hour interview.
