Thanks for commenting. The only thing I left out of the video was to ensure you get on the train heading to the city. They also have a commuter train going to what seems to be their suburbs. They leave from the same station. The suburban bound train has Amtrak comfortable seats, so you can easily tell the difference. Enjoy the trip, Athens is great.
Hello, if I am looking to get an Uber, is there an assigned area in the airport where one needs to stand at when using Uber? I am trying to steer clear from taxis as I keep hearing that there have been increasing situations where the taxi driver ends up charing more to the cuatomer than the price agreed upon
Hi, Thanks for watching and commenting. It’s been a few years since I visited Greece, so I don’t have an answer to your question. When I visited I was told that Uber isn’t popular in Greece. The local population finds it strange to get into an unregulated strangers car. We called Uber to request a cab to return to the airport. Greece’s economy is heavily dependent on tourism, so I’m sure you’ll find an easy solution. Good luck and enjoy the trip.
