That's exactly what happened in quite a few cases like Lisa Brown-Miller (ice hockey) and Kerri Walsh-Jennings (beach volleyball) who only found out about the pregnancy after the Olympic Games.

Anurag Sharma actually, it depends on how you define strength. If you are using the physics definition of strength, it is the ability for an object to withstand force or pressure. The general definition of strength is “Being physically strong” which makes women inferior to men in that field. Other definition of strength can be mental strength, which a lot of women can be stronger than men, not denying that. Women might be able to handle pain better than men (idk about this fact). But men are physically stronger (faster, able to carry more weight, more muscular) than women. N.b. i am not saying that women are “weak”

Даже просто упасть зимой подскользнувшись и удариться об лёд животом уже все беда! Не говоря уже про бытовуху и хозяйство особенно в средние века когда женщины вкалывали и все сами делали, что даже в поле рожали и никто с ними не церемонился! Риск для ребёнка уже с первых дней беременности, если уж на то пошло!

Well i don't think that's the case

Most of these women played low contact or no contact sports, so there is very very little risk to the fetus. It is being celebrated because the video shows how women are not putting their entire careers and lives on hold while pregnant, if they choose to do so. It is admirable for a woman to compete in a sport in the Olympics no matter what, and pulling out because you are pregnant would be a waste of your time, your coach’s time, and time of those who support you. That being said, maybe some of the women who compete in full contact sports like hockey should have reconsidered their participation, in my opinion, but this is my opinion, and not theirs. These women know their bodies best, and if they feel like they can perform their best while also being pregnant, who are we to stop them?
