Solid competitive match between these two teams. Some great and not so great moments from both teams lol That lady screaming like someone being attacked in a horror movie deserved a red card too
I thought dealing with parents in youth games in the UK was bad, the incessant screaming is infuriating to me. Didn't think the ref was terrible. Not everything was a foul, played advantages where he could, pulled play back when it came to nothing, got both penalties and the red card correct. He obviously didn't get every decision correct but as a UK ref I'd rather see that style of reffing than the NAIA games my sister plays in where contact = foul, and there's very little game management from officals. Makes me want to slam my head against a car door.
I would have liked to see him reach for his yellow card more to keep the game temperature down. Feels like if he did, it may have not gotten to the point of having a fight break out.
@@ericcastle5704 there weren't really many big fouls to do so though, it was mainly little ones that built up to the penalty incident, and then all hell broke loose. Talking to could've had the same affect though. Just to take the sting out of the game
@@parkerwoolard6717 we do, but it's not as big of a thing in the US. Most kids who play for their schools play for clubs anyways (and no I don't mean academies!). Club football/soccer is the main thing over here. There's a much bigger emphasis on winning for your club than for your school at youth level. Also university sports is almost an afterthought in the UK compared to the US. Academies are different. They're prevalent, but it's much less about winning and much more about development. So much so that parents are asked to leave or told not to attend if they're guilty of incessant shouting.
I mean ref should've gave #10 a red, called a handball for a Green PK that seemed nonexistent (though hard to tell but I will give benefit of the doubt) and then missed a clear and obvious handball on #4 that was not called.... So not really great... Lol.
Def not. A long touch and pointless marridona every single ball posession does not make him a demon. He just stood out from the rest of his lazy team cause he’s a hustler.
Mainly because of the coaches. I know from experience because I currently play in a high school team as well as a club after school. The coaches in high school are usually just American Football coaches that they bring over and don't even know basic possession or tactics 💀💀💀Their only tactic is Brexit lol
You ever notice how kids who have parents who scaream and are very involved easier become angry and get outraged... its kinda like the screaming is a sign of approval for bad sportsmanship
Terrible. Parents just yelling and screaming and have noclue about the game. Also, that was not a foul in the box. Ref also should've given #10 on white team a red card.
Dude, I watched that whole thing. Fight? Please, that was handbags at best. I will say, my h.s. played Wilde Lake for the state championship in the 80s, and that was where I first learned about professional fouls and grabbing a jersey to stop a fast winger.
Perfect condition soccer would have been awesome in my day...Unfortunately, we had to play on torn up football fields with ankle breaking potholes. Not knowing where the ball will bounce sloppy mess of a field. REAL soccer!!!!
Wow - probably the best game of juvenile football I've seen in a long time !. Both sides had 2/ very good technical players and the link-ups were really good !. Sad,y, the game could've done with stricter refereeing, he was too lenient on more then one occasion ?
There were so many times cards should of been handed out, like all them late tackles and there was so many incidents of un sportsmanship to the ref and players, at least warning or just a talk, this ref shouldn’t be able to ref again in my opinion
Might be an idea to film these up and coming athletes without the parents in the background. Sounded like someone was being murdered most of the time, or like a fella introducing a horse to hey. Players on the pitch did well though!
How is 10 not red he came and pushed from the back if he pushed from the front it would be yellow but he pushed from the back so it should technically be a red
#9 for atholton is a solid player but holy cow someone teach him to pass. Maybe in high school level he would get away with it but anywhere else he will not make it…
Looks like astro-turf...worse surface ever invented. They installed it when I played university. Lots of knee injuries on all our varsity teams related to the carpet. I blew my acl just cutting to my right, no one around me. Years later im waiting for a titanium replacement. At the beginning we all thought it was the shit.
Clear biased refereeing. If Green sees straight Red, #10 should also. They were obviously battling all game and this clearly changed the outcome as he went on to contribute to both goals.
Hate to say it but it’s awful to watch. Every single time the long ball. Why not just pass the ball straight to the opponent?? It’s losses procession means losing the game. These kids have to learn how to build up the attack coming from defense and keeping the ball low. All you have to do is pass and move up! And so on. And if you can’t go forward go backwards always take the easy pass and don’t forse it!
