It's been a long 2 years waiting to come back to this show. School got in the way for both of us last year, and the pictures that were put up from that year by ATHS members ensured us that we wouldn't miss this coming year's show! We returned to the American Truck Historical Society's Southern California Chapter's antique truck show, held at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California. Rain was a huge scare for many truckers, so the turnout was a little smaller than in previous years, and less older trucks showed up. Besides one or two very small periods of drizzling throughout the day, there was no severe rain, and the show went well! We even got to see them driving out - what an experience! Thanks once again to ATHS SoCal for putting on one of Southern California's most unique shows. Also big thanks to Terry Klenske and family of Dalton Trucking (the green fleet) for being so friendly and bringing some of the coolest trucks to the ATHS show every year. Finally, thanks to the Orange Empire Railway Museum for hosting the show venue. Hopefully weather won't be an issue for future shows. Can't wait to return to another ATHS show!
See individual pictures here. I will upload all the pictures when time allows: www.flickr.com...

Thank you! I stopped making slideshows with music because using music blocks the videos in some countries. I try to make the videos so the viewer gets as much of the experience of the show as possible, so no music or talking.

I'm surprised that the authorities didn't run you out of state for bringing all those pre- emission diesel trucks in, and polluting the clean, smog free air of SoCal........(Los Angeles in August ????) But seriously, that is some of the most BEAUTIFUL iron I've seen in a long time. Much respect. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! It was nice to see the Dalton Trucking fleet after 2 years. There are many ATHS shows around the United States, the Dalton fleet almost always drives to the national conventions every year.

Thanks Kenny! Just wish the chance of rain was much lower, that would've brought out way more trucks. Nonetheless, amazing show, ATHS always does a great job!

Great video, I tell you spent a lot of time on editing too. It's not easy to piece together all of those action shots. What kind of camera setup did you use?
@twinrodders

Thank you! Yeah this video took one of the longest to edit out of all my videos, mostly because my brother and I used two cameras to capture the trucks leaving the show. At this show we used a 2009 Sony Handycam Camcorder, and a Panasonic DMC-FZ70, no tripods.

Hello, great video! What was the Dunkel Bros. rig? Looks like a car carrier, but nothing like I've ever seen. Really radical for it's time I'll bet!?!? Also Old Gray Ghost & another pick-up had a round barrel looking thing on their passenger windows, sirens? Lastly, the Dalton Rigs....WOW, no words can describe that fleet!!!!!!! Awesome to see such beautiful trucks. Thank you...!!!

The Dunkel Bros. rig is a 1949 GMC and a 1947 MHS car carrier trailer. They have some other great looking trucks at their headquarters too! The round thing sticking out of Old Gray Ghost is a swamp cooler, you put ice or cold water inside it and the wind blows cold air into the vehicle. It's like an air conditioner for cars without AC.

I like those big trucks from 60's to early millennium. Some others present! Soon there will be a cut off date. When the trucks get to domey like i've seen already! Aweful!😀 when those driver less trucks and vechicles come in that's it. It will be one big" night mare!" Long live the proper American trucks, mid 50's to 95. More so! Also some which remained in same style an body like 80's to 2005. These new trucks from 2005 ! Have smaller fat steering wheels. Don't like that. Same with bus, coaches, rv's. Love slimmer big steering wheels!😀
