The notorious killing spree that terrorized Atlanta’s black neighborhoods known as the Atlanta Child Murders has haunted the city for forty years.
One of the darkest moments in Atlanta’s history. 29 black children and young adults were murdered between 1979 to 1981. Wayne Williams was convicted of two of the adult murders, but questions have persisted whether he was guilty of all the murders.
Following an 11Alive Investigation, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms ordered the cases reopened.
Will other suspects emerge? Neima Abdulahi takes you inside that Investigation with an exclusive interview with a reliable source, on camera, saying for the first time he knows that Wayne Williams wasn’t responsible for one of the child murders.
