I think it wanting Bijan to get more or less touches is just an argument of whether we want the return of Ladainian Tomlinson for 5-7 years, or if we want 10 years of Bijan with a pitch count. If we give him more touches, he’ll put up HOF numbers now and fizzle off sooner, if we dial him back he’ll have more of a Frank Gore type 10+ year consistent career. All about tastes.
Aaron, refresh my memory please. At the beginning of the year you were a little critical of Bijan, referring to the fact that he had one of the worst stats for pass catching running backs in the league last year. In the comments I said that a big part of that poor production was the poor QB play that he was subject to. Would you say, now, that difference in this year's production and last year's in the passing game specifically is in large part due to better QB play?
Has been for a few years. It can't be coaching. Kinda like our pass rush. Too many coaches have shuffled through for that to be the problem. Teams know our safeties bite on "cues." We should expect that. I am not saying, don't be aggressive. But, maybe... hedge ur bets a little. Don't go all out for the TO until u see it is a reality.
Kirks inability to move is going to be a serious problems eventually. its going to force us to have to have perfection up front at all times which is almost impossible.
