Bryce is right. Every NBA team is currently looking for a player with Sarrs archetype. And this is why he has so much upside if he develops properly. He can be a Gobert/Mobley athletic type defensive centre, but also function like a Naz Reid if his 3 point shot is consistent

I dont get why Sarr would have a hard time being a lob threat compared to Capela. If youre even taller than CC, have verticality, 7'5 wingspan, and athleticism, as well as (hopefully) the best lob thrower in Trae to make it even easier, what could be the problem?

Hawks fan since 87 here: if they don’t draft Sarr, a defending PF/C who has the potential to grow exponentially on offense. Plus keep Trae, who is our best player since Dominique. I would have to believe the chances of us being a winning franchise in my lifetime aren’t zero, but close to it.

Only chance Hawks win a championship is if Trae is our 2nd best player. We would need a Shaquille O’Neil or a Tim Duncan etc

Clingan would be a better fit for Trae tbh.. Sarr isn’t even consistent enough at rolling to the basket after setting screens.. He’s not going to be great at any one thing offensively, there’ll forever be inconsistencies with Sarr.

I think Sarr is a good rebounder,and has all tools to be great rebounder, so this would not be a issue, he has good trait of boxing out every time,he doesn't care if rebound belongs to him or not. .

Saar and 00 with Bruno 3rd center is the way to go. The only way to know how good these players are going to be ESPECIALLY at number has to play! Play him! And then you'll know

Does Sarr have room within the offense to move around from wings some possessions, box some and the top some close to what Paolo does. And not be put solely in the center box?

Sarr has the talent and versatility and the archetype but he needs to learn to be a center. Clingan is not versatile but he knows how to do the dirty work in screens and being an anchor but he knows when to pass out. Too many times Sarr seems to want to pick-n-pop and be more of a perimeter guy but when an Aaron Baynes wants to do the dirty work, Sarr does not box out and do that dirty work as often.

Wings and Point Guards are bountiful in the NBA/G League/Overseas Markets. I think they take Sarr, purely because of how scarce athletic 7 footers are, especially ones that have good shooting mechanics/technique

Im in favor of the lottery. If the same team got the first pick all the time, it wouldn't mean that they could become a better team. Even now, the hawks aren't guaranteed to get better
