Enjoyed this one, Brad. Personally, I thought Trae's remark about wanting to be in ATL but wanting to win conveyed a definite message to the organization. That's not to say he's gone anytime soon, but I considered it a bit of a shift from what he's said previously.

Why are ALL of the trade rumors less favorable when it comes to hawks? They never involve us getting decent player's back ie Mikael Bridges or ever Herb jones on a lesser level.

Because Hawks has no leverage in trade talks. Now, the same thing can be said, vice versa to any team trading, say, for example, the Pelicans have no leverage either, but the difference is that Hawks are more desperate to make a move because their roster does not work at all and needs change. Unlike the Pelicans, their roster can work, but they clearly need work around the edges so they're aren't desperate like the Hawks who need to desperately make a change

Given the falcons decisions over the past decade. I assume there is some unwritten rule that says “the falcons can never have an alpha pass rusher.” “Just score points and everyone will be happy” (minus fans who appreciate a good defense.)

Trade Dejonte to the Magic. They need a real PG and have good youngsters and picks. Also can they can take more $$ in their cap space, helping the Hawks cap issues.

Trae is very good. He’s not a top-10 player in the league. He has well-documented flaws that I’ve talked about while covering every minute of his career to this point. So I’m not sure what you’re looking for. What I discussed on this show is I don’t think they should trade him right now, particularly to a team like the Lakers with what they could offer. None of this is controversial?
