well to be fair. rioters can be protesters. and in this case they are pro·test·er noun: a person who publicly demonstrates strong objection to something if you riot lets say because your sports team won a game you would not be a protester at all. here in this situation you can infact be both.
Why did the guy have to resist arrest, he was so calm and polite until they tried to put handcuffs. Cops legally can arrest someone who's drunk in order to protect them and the public. Each year, about 10,000+ people die from drunk driving crash. Whether cop is allowed to use his gun within that 2 second time frame of the suspect turning and firing the taser is up in the air. But for protestors to paint this guy as some innocent unarmed black man just "sleeping" is wrong.
Yeah it is, he was scared, he was drunk, he has been living in 2020 where everything before you is unfolding, his conscience mind was intoxicated and his subconscious was terrified, that would explain why he would have possesion of the police taser but still had the fear reaction of running away instead of firing it, he only pointed the weapon at the cop from behind while running from a cop with his gun out, it's the same way cops use defense in court where they say that it might seem it was it was murder to the naked eye, but in their PERCEPTION, they were in fear of their life, perception throws the intent out, which results in a lot of acquittals for cops.
According to your logic it’s okay to shoot someone in the back after getting beat up by a man who was just asleep outnumbered 2 to 1 because he was “drunk” I’ve talked to lawyers and the sobriety test fails 85% of people who take it even the people who aren’t drunk
Jose rosario yea everything is a matter of perception. In Hind sight, I think the real argument is should they even have called the police in the first place for something so trivial. Especially knowing how the cops are around us brothas... then again, he wasn’t just sleeping behind the wheel, he was also obviously drunk. He even admitted it. Worse case scenario it’s some employees knock on the window to wake him up and he gets startled, then hits the gas. What if the car was in reverse? What if he tazzed the officer in the face (which is potentially a fatal blow)? There are just so many safty variables, might as well just comply.

@RU-vid Veterinarian "Deescalation" means the cops should have drove him home like a taxi, and got his order in the drive thru also.( excuse #2= what's the big deal passing out drunk behind the wheel? My god, all he did was risk lives by driving drunk, then fighting with cops, then taking their tazers, then pointing it at them like it was a gun....so what's the big freaking deal?
On one hand they say tasers are non-lethal weapons. On the other hand they say they are allowed shoot people holding a taser. This is a contradiction. You can't have it both ways.
@@ProR2D2 While true that tasers are considered non-lethal, if the gentleman had actually hit the officer with the taser and it was effective, it could potentially incapacitate the officer. At that time the guy could then take away the officers duty weapon and shoot him and the assisting officer.
@@cajunbatman No you're an ignorant moron, simple as that. This was a justified shooting 100%. You can't just steal a cop's weapon, run away and shoot at them with it. You can see the taser being discharged before he got shot. People like you is the reason why I can't 100% support BLM
@@cajunbatman if you disagree with me, you're a racist. What a beautiful argument. The video is there of the struggle. For you info, he was NOT fighting the officers. He was trying to get away, there's a difference. Secondly, even if he punched the cop in the face, then kicked him. And then, called his mother a bad name. The cop can not use deadly force, unless he fears for his life. The man was running away. The taser that the suspect had, can not cause deadly force to the cop. So the cop can not use deadly force on the man. Think!

Right. “If” he hits him in the chest. If he doesn’t, officer goes down, possibly has his gun stolen and then turned on him. Cop did right thing. Sad that it was fatal, but that’s a split second decision that also could’ve been life or death for the officer as well

Two officers on the scene one was still getting up off the ground while the other tries to apprehend him. No one is looking at the fact this man was resisting. 100% justified, the man probably did that just because his life was worth no more than the fame he would gain by doing something stupid to basically get himself shot

When you are aggressive with the police start attacking the police and you steal there teaser and then point the teaser at the officer what do you expect to happen could have been avoided I subscribed to Brandon Tatum he's an ex police officer out of Tucson Arizona he's a smart conservative black man and he has video of this
Yeah, body cam footage showed it all... 20 or so minutes of calm talking and evaluating leading up to a drugged out realization The officer used his taser, many people claim, why not use it, he did, tasers use cartridges, they often are 1 to 2 shots.
2:43 So tell me this, GENIUS: A SUSPECT has STOLEN a COP'S TASER WEAPON!! HOW IN THE HELL IS THIS COP SUPPOSED to pull out HIS TASER IF THE SUSPECT STOLE IT FIRST !!??????
He has not stolen. But has taken from them.... Your mindset is full of prejudice. John Edwards if you were a cop and someone pointed a taser at you that person obviously wants to hurt you. It’s just the only weapon the have available is a taser. You’ve seen people that get tasered? Come on bro.
Whatever but for a crime as petty as this, a gun is not needed. But I'm sure the cop did not do that on purpose. Probably he just got overwhelmed when he saw the taser in his hands.
He wasn't sleeping - He was passed out in a running car in the drive-thru. He stole the cop's Taser, ran away with it, swung the Taser around behind him & fired the Taser at the cops. Then the cop shot him.
Tyrone Foster the man had the officers taser and could’ve easily taser him then taken his gun... Drunk guy running around with gun vs no drunk guy running around with gun... which would you choose
Or....she disagreed with the Mayors decision to fire the cop. I think the Mayor acted in a way to minimize another major riot. Too many unknowns right now. W as the suspect searched before the altercation? Did the officer in pursuit have continuous eye contact with the suspect to be able to know with certainty that he didn’t pull a firearm while running away? There was a time when the response to an incident like this was, “ an investigation is under way”.
Yea lets all get drunk .. Go to sleep in the drive thru. Fail a breathalyzer resist arrest and run and theaten a cop with a tazer. And then burn down the joint for being slow. You are a damned idiot.

@@B3Band O.o you realize there were 2 officers there right? Not the entire police force? And also the taser that wasn't stolen was already used and failed? Thinking is hard, huh.
Because running away doesn't warrant the use of deadly force. Even if the black guy was pointing a tazer at the cop as he ran, that isn't lethal. The US Constitution specifies all citizens may not have their life, liberty, or property taken without due process. Cops can't just wantonly kill citizens. Bottom line: there are way too many police killings of blacks, way too trigger happy. Until recently, they are almost never prosecuted.

"just shoot him with a taser, they have vests and tasers for a reason." Umm idk if you saw the video, but the suspect appears to have TAKEN the taser from the police. so he may not have even had it. And if someone is that brazin to struggle with the police, forcefully take one of the officers tools, and then turn around and point that said tool at an officer, those actions are showing extreme hostility and malice towards him. Say the officer would have stood there and just taken a shot from this man's taser, would the suspect have then taken the officer's gun? Would the suspect have not gotten into his car and sped down the street and possibly ran someone over or wrecked into an innocent family, causing them to lose their life? there are two cops there, so even if the cop was hit by a taser nothing would have happened. the standard for deadly force is imminent threat of death. The word imminent means ‘the last moment in time before an action becomes unstoppable.’ In other words, for police to use deadly force they have to prove they were on the verge of death. The graham standard is over, the courts have thrown it out. this is the new standard. Prove that this cop was on the verge of immediate death. You cant, so it is unjustified use of force.
