Incredible stuff, words simply can't do justice to the sheer technical dominance you have over the instrument, wish I could have seen it in person. So did they also give you show crocs, or nah?

I originally bought the show shoes they wanted, but I couldnt stand how they felt and ended up buying a black pair of crocs for the shows lol

Im the timpanist for my highschool and im in my freshman year, i strive to be as good as you one day. Any tips/things that helped you that you can share? Ive pretty much taught myself since middle school to play timpani and i want to increase my skillset

Hello! One thing that helped me a lot personally when starting out was spending a lot of time familiarizing myself with the ranges of the drums. Knowing which notes can go on which drums can help a lot with figuring out how to play parts that are given to you, especially when you aren't able to get access to a set of timpani. Other than that, I would also spend enough time doing around the drum exercises and working on your technique to make it second nature to you.
