Atlas Mountain Race was created by ultra cyclist Nelson Trees. The same event organiser responsible for the Silk Road Mountain Race. Both ultracycling races are considered among the toughest on earth, attracting international interest, acclaim, and participation by riders like Sofiane Sehili, James Hayden, Team Amani, Josh Ibett, Marin de St Exupery and more.

Thanks mate! Now I’ve got the Fourstroke I have to admit I haven’t even thought about riding my URS. They’re quite different bikes..both a lot of fun, but I think I’ll always be reaching for the Fourstroke if I’m riding anything but very smooth gravel.

I finished watching this about 8 hours ago and I'm still speechless. A truly remarkable accomplishment... not even taking into account that you filmed the entire thing! Epic. Amazing production and adventure. Would love to see this entered into some mountain film festivals! One of the best adventure films I've seen.

Been watching a lot of ultra race documentaries over the last weeks, but this stood out in superbly showing the Rollercoaster one has to go through in this type of race. I am sure I will never do this myself, but I was on the edge of my seat through this whole hour and enjoyed every minute of it. Big kudos to you not just for completing this, but also for taking us with you on that journey.

Whoa, that's the same Claus of Berlin Marathon/water-bottle/Eliud Kipchoge handoff fame. What a spectacular cameo, hah! I've done a couple of similar adventures myself (never as a race, and always with a friend!), and the highs and lows you experienced felt VERY familiar. I can only imagine that the solitude added a huuuge amount of difficulty to this - in the moment, being able to whine to a friend about shitty routing or endless hike-a-bike feels so crucial. Great work!!

Amazing achievement, well done. I feel your wrist pain as I have had the same issue with traditional MTB RD shifters. The solution for me was the grip shifter which eliminates the extreme thumb movement required to shift gears. SRAM do very good grip shifters.

Thanks man 🙏🏼 It was less surplus energy and more the strong desire to record (for all to see) just how brutal the race was. Haha. I definitely made it more brutal for myself by trying to do that though..the energy and pain certain parts of this film took was pretty wild. Won’t be repeating too soon!
