Don't make that out of it. If you just stopped working, the government would be in something for that. It means you can't get fired if you are productive.

I think the second movie is the best, but I liked the actors in the first movie better. The 3rd movie was meh.

3rd movie felt like it was done with 10% of the budget with directors who read the coles notes version. New actors made it very difficult to get any satisfaction from the character arcs.

@@jonsmitt9769 It pretty much was done that way. The first two movies did terribly at the box office and by the time they got to the third film they just wanted to be done with it.

Because PA gov Wolfe subscribes to the same communist, collectivist philosophy. I live in PA - the birthplace of American independence. Freedom was born here and it looks like it will die here. We are in deep shit.

@kdanagger6894
@kdanagger6894 3 года назад
What do you expect this "better" to be? We had something much better (the free enterprise system) 50+ years ago. The great reset is designed for one purpose - to take what little freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and financial freedom that remains completely away. You will exist for the benefit of the collective. The interests of the individual are a danger to society You will comply. Resistance is futile. Starting to get the picture yet?

@@charlesmcdonald1465 Dude if you want to read a book critical of Russia under Stalin read Trotsky or Orwell. If you want an analysis of our political system look up R. Wolff of Marx. But Rand just displays a hatred for Native American, African American, working class people to an almost disturbing level. Her views on love expressed through her characters are sociopathic and her lack of historical knowledge is such that it has to be caused by bigotry over simple lazines. And man come on if you really want to understand why things are this bad then read "Das Kapital". Hate him all you want but that german dude knew some shit.

@@boozybibliomaniac2597 How strange, I recall Roark (the representative of Rand's ideal in that book) in The Fountainhead doing a working class mining job, this is an action not held against Roark by the narrative, in fact the only person that objects to Roark doing so is a character who thinks the job is beneath Roark, Roark himself certainly has no shame in taking up this job. And John Galt spent his time in occupations like janitor at Taggart Railroad, again this state of affairs is not something the narrative finds wrong with his character (and with Galt especially, we are meant to see everything Galt does as _right_), if Rand hated working class people as much as you say, then we would be required to hate her ideal characters because doing working class jobs is something they do. I also wonder how exactly you see her hating on Native Americans and African Americans because it certainly isn't on principle, to quote a summary on her chapter "Racism" in the Virtue of Selfishness: "Rand centers her discussion of racism on the idea that racism is an immoral notion bred by collectivist thinking.", and I don't recall anyone in particular being hated _because_ of them being from a Native tribe or because they have black skin. I thought her characters were considered sociopathic by default? (I recommend looking up the root words of "sociopath", quite an interesting idea) But then I would like to see someone actively try to pick a romantic partner in complete contradiction to Rand's view of the matter whilst that relationship achieving "till death do us part". This line: "her lack of historical knowledge is such that it has to be caused by bigotry over simple laziness." in particular made me laugh because it just so happens that her diploma was history, and it was also during her time in the land of Lenin.
