I was just thinking about that. Haven’t been here in a few years but miss the screaming eagle so much, my sister went on at 7 and my mother was so scared about it. Will always be my favorite
It was my favorite too even though I’d be screaming and slob pouring from my mouth uncontrollably 😆 and I’d getRIGHT back in line and I’m almost 50 so you know it was fun to me even though I’m afraid of heights. Can’t wait to try this one
@@dtaylor4952 I’ll tell you about it. I rode it, and I was pretty scared. On the screaming eagle you go semi-upside down. On this one you go a full 360. Still a ton of fun.
When I used to work here, whenever I was operating the Screamin' Eagle and kids would ask if it went all the way upside down, I'd tell them "Yeah, but it has moonlight sensors on the top so it only happens at midnight on a full moon." Most of those kids would believe me. I hope they go to the park one of these days and see this do a full 360, not realizing it's a different ride, and think "Huh, I guess they must have removed the moonlight sensors."
this is my favorite ride of oaks park, last time i went, the whole day i was on this ride because it was by far my favorite, after seeing what happened i am a little hesitant on going 360 again but if its clear once its back open then ill take my chances
It looks so fun, but no way I’m going on it. I don’t want to go all the way around, and don’t want to be seated outward. Sad they got rid of the Screaming Eagle. Even better, wish they still had the Sea Dragon!
One goes around and the other doesn't. Oaks runs both each day they operate. This ride also is far less of a spinner than the screamin eagle. It feel more like it's just turning your view than a spinner
This is way more impressive than the Eagle although I will miss it with all the childhood memories. I'm glad that they're upgrading things here, they could use some edge since PNW parks are so rare.
Wow scary! I am going to oaks park and I really want to try this ride! I have never gotten on the scream n eagle before so I'm very nervous about how AtmosFEAR is going to be like. 😰
Woot! Looking forward to trying this, going to the amusement park for the very first time! I've never been to an amusement park before and I'm so excited!!!
I went to oaks park a few days ago with my bestie, her mom, and my besties moms friend. We all agreed that are NOT going on that ride. We were all counting how long it was upside down when we were getting food lol
Yes, unfortunately their was a ride malfunction and sadly had people hanging for a bit yesterday. With that being said, these rides do not typically malfunction and leave folks hanging like what happened. Oaks Park is outstanding with their safety record and is a massive place of pride for that park. Once the ride reopens, like many in amusement/theme parks it will have all safety marks hit and it will continue as designed for enjoyment. Sad to see what happened yesterday, but greatful everyone is going to be okay.
Did the park get rearranged? Looks like the scrambler is right next to this now. I haven’t been to the park in a couple years, last time I was there the scrambler was over by the old roller coaster.
When it just started spinning over and over and over constantly I got pretty scared especially because the pressure coming down kept on like pushing on my chest and really hurt, and then also my palms were sweating so when I was just upside down in the air for like 5 seconds my hands started SLIPPING OFF THE HANDLE, oh man
@@ProjectMyc And also, what does it feel like going upside down? Does it feel like the ring of fire? If so I’m definitely going on it upside down 4 my bday
Same manufacturer, but different model. This one goes both 360 and not. The ride you mentioned does go 360 around based on a quick google search. For the most part it is the same, but oaks runs both settings in the park for riders.
Yes, it does. This manufacturer does outstanding work especially for all types of parks around the world. When this ride went to Oaks Park it was the tallest they have ever installed for the features that this one has. In New Zealand they have a smaller clone of this ride.
It's so fun to ride and really smooth. It's brand new so it should be. I rode it and really not anything crazy on the spinning. Maybe don't go on the upside down setting? My son and I will be taking a trip down soon to film more and just enjoy the park. Super excited to see oaks open with people in it again.
For this one it was our GoPro Wednesday before the park opened up on Saturday. We will be coming back and filming the ride again with people on it for the sounds and reactions. This year we will be filming the rides again, but include B role footage and upgraded audio/video quality.
I regret not going on the Screaming Eagle ride so I went on the Atmosfear ride that did 360’s for the first time in my life; I felt like I was gonna fall when I was upside down so I pushed myself upwards from the handle so I can sit again but it was hard and my shoulder were hurting.
Unfortunately, we do not know. We are a RU-vid channel that hosts the POV videos for Oaks Park. Im sorry to here the ride was not open the day you were there. I would reach out via oakspark.com and ask why? Normal reasons for rides to be down is just normal routine maintenance.
I went to it today, first time, 360 mode, was traumatised i thought i was going to fall, i screamed so hard i lost like half my voice for the rest of the time there
@@ProjectMyc I rode it yesterday. I am 6'6". The restraint didn't go as far down for me as other people due to my shoulders getting in the way, and when I was at the top, I fell forward about a foot. It was terrifying.
Yes and no, this model is the tallest one of its kind that swtiches between 360° and a non upside down version. Oaks Park rotates between each mode. As of last year New Zealand had a smaller version of this model. In the end its the same type of ride and experience with the 360° option on.
Well I do not want that for you, but know the safety in place on this ride is state of the art. The computer shuts down the ride even if 1 sensor goes off.
Totally get it and it happens. It would be great to get some feedback for what they're not a fan. Sometimes its a ride in itself vs a video. We will be refilming all of the rides this spring with all new equipment for 4k and 60fps finally. This year we will have new Oaks Park videos, some PDX based events like haunts to this weekends Sportsman Show, and a lot of more cooking videos. We are really excited to get back to making new content.
Thank you so much for your support. Our next videos should be the Sportsman show and then a special video from Fellowship Of The Grill. Their ambassador team pitched in and got a youth a new grill.
