This song always rises strong emotions in me as a Finn because I see Baltic people the same as us Finns. You guys just were dealt with worse hand than us. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania has inspired us all to strive for better. Beautiful people and beautiful culture all around. And of course I see Estonians as our brothers forever. Elagu Eesti! Lai dzīvo Latvija! Tegyvuoja Lietuva! 🇫🇮♥️🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹
+Brīva Eiropa This is fallacay, there is nothing wrong with gay people, they are humans just like you with a different choice in their path, a on "handing over our women to muslims" never heard of it... The only thing wrong with Estonia is the fact taht Estonia is actively destroying his economy system.. If this goes on for longer we will be in debt like Finland ..
So What?! What is such a big deal with Homosexual people, they are exactly the same people like you and me with only a different way of life, As for the refugee part I did kinda drift to that analogy but was hoping you weren't that dumb to refer it as " handing over women to Muslims" the term is very.. wrong ... In no way are Estonian women going over to Muslim or any of that.. The main thing wrong with refugees are that they will expect higher authority over the natives, i do agree that refugees might just make the living worse but hell, Russians came here and look what they did ... As far as i can see, if the government isn't as blind as Finland's government we should be good but from what i've heard and read.. it aint looking good... Long story short: Gay people are minimal threat. What Estonia should aim for is setteling the Economy and deal with refugees accordingly...
+Over_Lord wait...what? where did you get that Laar put a stop to export? All he did was reform bankrupt companies, and Estonias economy is not bad at all, it is currently leading in Baltics and for awhile was the fastest growing economy
I'm Finnish and I don't understand the lyrics but what I know about Baltic history makes this song so touching for me. The video is so beautiful too. I hope all the best for the Baltic countries!
@@cyborgjanis8247 They did not leave- other Baltic states were deleted from the map by Soviets, so Finland started to be associated with Nordic/Scandinavian countries then. Good for them, they managed to defend themselves from slavery in USSR.
Btw, don't you understand something from Estonian lyrics (3:10 and on)? I remember travelling on a ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki some 20 years ago, and there where inscriptions only in Estonian and Finnish languages. And while I couldn't understand a single word (I'm from Rīga, Latvia), I could see that purely through letter by letter comparison - the two texts were really, really similar, in parts - identical.. But perhaps, this might change with context.
@@firesoullv Thank you for your warm comfort from Las Vegas! Your words really touched me!😊 I'm very strong and I've made up my mind. I'll follow my own heart and chase my own dream, no matter the cost! "They may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!" Thanks again! Shane from HuBei, China.
This song always brings tears to my eyes, it's so powerful and beautiful. I was a kid back then but I still remember so well how my country 🇪🇪 got independent again and the soviet (Russian) occupation ended after more than 50 years. Now this evil force in the east has risen again but I'm sure we and our Baltic sisters will never lose our freedom any more! 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹
Hi from Latvia, i heard that Taiwan has this troublesome region called china or something, i wish you to deal with them before they do disrespect to your nation.
@@JustOneGirl81 Taiwan is a small(24 million population, comparing to China) and young(30 years since first general election) democracy, just like Baltic States. Our people were inspired by Baltic States so much, we also celebrated Taiwanese version of Baltijos kelias in 2004 in order to differentiate Taiwan from Chinese Communist Oppressive regime. We understand how a functioning democracy can benefit our nation and most important of all, can protect what we loved and believed.
It was the dark day in 1939, but it was the great day in 1987. I remember staying in line near the bell tower of cathedral in Vilnius. Some had candles in the hands and then hands joined. It was very powerful.
I absolutely love it.. We have some Baltic people in my country and they celebrated Baltic Day here. Since then, I absolutely fucking love you, your music and culture. You should be so proud of your nation! I'm so jealous! Greetings from Poland!!!!
We respect you polish forest brothers! We fought against soviet communism and you helped lithuanians :) we estonians helped latvians in southern estonia and northern latvia! Love from Estonia! All baltic countries!
Wen i celebreit Baltic day in Latvia there is a 100℅ chance this song will be loud as hell and wen i hear it i just wana cry that i wasnt born wen independency happend 😢😢😢 but Poland is prety cool too its technecly a Baltic country (not a baltic state) becose youre country is connected to the Baltic sea.
Chinese are taught the history of the Opium Wars and the Century of Humiliation. They do not forget, nor do they forgive. The Tiger has woken up, and the USA will rue the day that it twisted it's tail. 1.5 Billion people will reply with anger. And that's just the ones in mainland China. Chinese across the globe will not stay silent. They have their freedom now, and are growing strong by the use of their education. The 21st Century is the Asian Continent's Century, and the West won't stand against it.
Baltic States forever independent! I am from Estonia and i hate the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Baltic States deserve to be together. We love each other and if something happens. We'll do that, we are small but strong together. Love from Estonia. Lithuanian/Lietuvis: Baltijos valstybės amžinai nepriklausomos! Aš esu iš Estijos ir nekenčiu Molotovo-Ribentropo pakto. I am anti one but i appreciate and respect still your nice wishes and comment. Spasibo. If there would be more Russians like you, world would be much better place. Take care.

Three small Baltic countries, but so united in that moment! 🙏🏻 I remember this song and grew up listening it...🎼 It means so much to me and my family...👨👩👧
Although I was about 6 months old back then, I listen to this and other songs from Singing revolution with tears in my eyes and proudness in my heart that has no borders. And by now I am doing the best job I can imagine - I show tourists our wonderful countries. And yes - I use "we" instead of Eesti, Latvija or Lietuva, because we are as one but in the same time with an individual character. Lithuanians are our closest relatives (that's why we sometimes argue a bit, but still love each other unconditionally) and Estonians are our soulmates (and we say you are slow because we are a bit jealous (but very happy) about your success). Love you my dearest borthers and sisters. It warms my heart knowing we have some upon we can relay on. Elagu Baltmaad! Together we can!
Beautiful people and beautiful all three countries. Long live Baltic's. Down to Soviet Union and their communism. Love from an Indian based in Finland.
Latvia, Estonia friens !!! stay together . never give up. we love you. Baltic forever! stay together, remember , and never give up. greetins from Lithuania !!
America salutes the Baltic! I'm Lithuanian-American and proud to be of the same blood as the nation that brought down the mighty USSR! Now the Baltic faces Russian aggression once again as Putin zeroes in on former territory. I know these great nations can hold back the menace, and they have the support of Europe, the US, and the world! I want to visit these great places one day and I don't want the Russian flag over them.
Tegyvuoja tautu vienybe LIETUVA LATVIJA ESTIJA !!! Lai dzivo tautas draudzibu LIETUVA LATVIJA IGAUNIJA !!! Long live the unity of nations LITHUANIA LATVIA ESTONIA !!!
In the Baltics they beat communism with the power of love and music! Love from Romania. A country that had a much bloodier fate in it's fight against the Red Menace.
We are all Brothers and Sisters. We have had a very similar past, present and we will most likely have a similar future too. If one of our sister nations suffers - we suffer with them. If one of our sister nations prospers - we prosper with them. We, the Baltic People, are great - and we will remain great. We have managed to hold on to our language, culture and pride - despite centuries of oppression by foreign powers - some more evil than others (*cough* Stalin *cough*). No matter what has happened to us in the past, we must look to our futures with hope, unity and love, as no-one else is going to care for us as much as our sister nations. Wake Up Balticum!

This is such a great video, it gives me chills :D God Bless the Baltic nations, respect from EIRE
damn, this video makes me cry every time i see it. So much suffering for those 3 nations by the hands of foreign opressors, so much death and yet... these 3 nations showed the world, that you dont always have to use violence to achieve great things. i am literally crying right now, since its just so beatiful. anyways greetings from Estonia.

If not these people I would not be Lithuanian now. It's so good to know when someone was doing it all heart to be free in 1989. As now in 2021 Lithuania its not easy to forget what Soviet Union did to us at 1940 - 1988 :( AND what Baltic sisters did is unbelievable!!! We should thank people who was strong and went to Baltic road!
Though not understanding the lyrics, the song speaks to me and I can feel the longing for freedom and peace on it, bringing tears in my eyes. You were epic in history! My best wishes for all your people! Greetings from the next free nation, Catalonia :)
Now it time when we baltic brothers hold together and stand shoulder against shoulder to show the russian dictator that he will regret this when he will start war against us. 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹

It was in late 80's. We said either we die or we live. But in no case as slaves! The voice of those, who cry to heaven for justice, can't be silenced. Our people have always had that knowledge - you'd better die with honor, than live in shame. Latvians, Lithuanians and Estonians are trained through centuries to be morally, spiritually and physically strong. We won't perish. God will not allow it...
