@Kyle_EL A French studio is gonna remake the first half of the Astro Boy series in 52 episodes in 2025-2026. If it's successful they are gonna do the second half too.

Hopefully, we might get a redub of the 80’s Astro Boy anime. And I know there’s only one actor who could portray Dr Tenma with such vigour. Keith David. Also known as Spawn, Goliath, Dr Facilier, and Many the Headless horse.

Yeah, the cop is basically saying that Atom might be able to _recognize_ things like beauty or tastiness, but not _experience_ them. The issue is that consciousness can't be explained simply by physiological information processing, which is the main critique of the idea that self-aware AI will eventually arise simply through increased complexity. (Or that we'll be able to upload our conscious minds to computers, which is sorta the same problem in reverse.) Look up the Chinese Room and Philosophical Zombie thought experiments for more on this. But basically, if in theory there were to be an AI so complex that it acts exactly like a human, that in itself still wouldn't make it a conscious being. In Pluto, specifically, this is actually a plot point: Robots are so advanced that they can even simulate emotions, but it's believed they can't murder anyone because that requires the robot to make the conscious decision to break one of the laws of robotics, or in other words choose to ignore its own programming. (I think that's how it works, anyway, it's been some years since I read the manga.) Turns out it _is_ possible for robots to transcend into full consciousness, but the requirements are... pretty extreme.

What??? No, "Pluto" is already shortened too much in the adaptation imho. Then again, I love the manga "Pluto", maybe you don't. 😂

Not all series require a ton of action to be a good story. Maybe you watch too much Marvel.

He leído el manga y dejame decirte que no hay casi nada de diferencia con el material original, la serie tiene buen ritmo, uno mejor que monster en su momento. Además, de urasawa, es su historia más corta.
