10 minutes of Atomega, a multiplayer FPS with peculiar gameplay based on the mass growth. Official site: www.ubisoft.com/it-it/game/at... Atomega on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/61...
Apparently the lore for this game is absolutely bonkers. You're basically a hyper advanced gladiator stuck in a temporal loop in the last arena in the universe, fighting each other for laughs while the LITERAL END OF TIME AND EXISTENCE happens in the background.
I'm shocked that this game isn't a big thing, although it might be better like this. The concept is cool, the power trip you get when you finally get to the higher forms. Sound effects, light bridges and walls. This game is amazing in execution.
Honestly I can see why the game isn’t big. Admittedly I absolutely adore this game and want to play it really bad, but I feel like I would just pick it up once and drop it. Because of the short game round length, there isn’t any particular sense of achievement when you get power. You have to be lucky when you start out as a protozol since the attacks are shooting lasers that only increase in damage as you level up, meaning there’s no nerf to protect new players from just getting shot to death. My biggest complaint is that there isn’t enough replayability since it’s just the same game over and over with no gameplay variation. If there was just more evolution paths, I feel like this would be a great expansion to the game.
@@sugarkane1571 yes, i was trying to keep off of the subject of expanding, because we all know where that can lead, but this game has incredible potential, it lacks In replayability, yet the graphics are so well made. Even better then some of the shits we get sold nowadays
@@A-Warthog-cc1wm Players control exoforms, which are the distant relatives of an ancient humanity that merged with machines eons ago. The game takes place at a point where the universe has ceased to expand and heat, and is instead cooling off. At this point, the exoforms in the arena are fighting each other as the universe collapses around them to maintain the most mass to stay alive for as long as possible.
First time seeing this. I wanted to see what the player was becoming like looking at the model itself. The icons on the right didnt totally satisfy that interest. I understood the concept quickly and it seems cool.
Atomega is a multiplayer-only action game. Played from a first-person perspective, eight players compete against each other to gain "mass" in order to score points. Players assume control of a simple Exoform when a match starts, and they must search the arena for cubes.
It's possibly due to the last stage representing humans after they get so intelligent they don't need a physical body to exist. At least, that's what I think it is...
damn I remember seeing gameplay footage of this years ago but I never remembered the name. I think it was just released too early and levels didn't have much depth to them. I wish you could go a lot higher and lower as smaller tiers making it harder to snowball as you get bigger.
@@ziedinsta5251 I'm not saying that, I'm saying that since from this video no one really plays the game it's not worth $10. If people actually played the game I would totally buy it but if no one plays it then buying it is a waste of money.
I am honestly very surprised that this game didn't get big but games about beans did, this is such a creative and fun topic, times like this is when I wish I had a PC and not just a console
i know im late ive never played atomega, but i love how you progress through what i call "the food chain" in this game. you start at the bottom, and become all powerful when you get to the top, then it gets removed from you, starting you at the bottom again
@@ZackLee I was thinking some Synthwave like Carpenter Brut would do the game justice ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wy9r2qeouiQ.html Listen and see what you think
Why isn't this a popular game? The idea is sick and it's super interesting, and also well done. And it could even be changed and modified with gamemode ideas.
Extremely low skill floor and ceiling. 0 player progression mechanics. Once the novelty of the concept wears off, there's nothing to keep players playing. Typical DOA indie shooter stuff.
@@nicetry69420 I think he's trying to say is there isn't a lot to master at in this game or much of a reason to do so compared to games like Smash Bros, or TF2, or CSGO ect.
@@nicetry69420 no it's because there is literally no variation between matches, once you've played one match and got to the highest level, there's nothing left to experience
good concept and game, only a few issues like dead servers and stuff, also i wish the map was destructible, that would give the game a fresh new concept to work with
From what I'm gathering, it appears to be an FPS game based around collecting more points than everyone else. You collect the little cubes to get points and evolve, and the bigger a monster you are, the more points each piece of mass is worth. This eventually caps out at Omega, which makes you into a massive, very difficult to kill colossus that can pick up mass from across the map like a super mode. If you die or run your Omega form to its end, you reset, and it's back down to baby points. I suppose it's kinda like a cross between laser tag, Evolve, and Hungry Hungry Hippos.
List of quotes that can be used for them: Smol ball. "THIS IS GOING NUUUUTS!" "OUCH, THAT HURT!" "I am almost there." "Practicall yeveolving! Big Cube. "I GOT THUMBS!" "WOOHOOO!" "THAT WAS A NICE SHOT!" "PERFECT!" Dino. *INTENSE SCREECHING.* Monke. "Give cube, cube good." "Nice light bad." "Monke not like good light." Huge mech or something. "MAGNIFICENT!" "PERFECT!" "GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Omega. "RESISTANCE IS FUTILE." "I FEEL THE POWER PULSING THROUGH MY VEINS." *Intense scream.* *Laughter of a maniac.*
Looks so amazing, then you check it out and it's a online only multiplayer only game that has no bots, can't launched without other people, and received it's last update the same year it came out. I really hope someone either buys the rights or clones the concept.
This looks cool, reminds me a lot of Morphie’s Law. One thing I’d say is there’s a whole lot of sci-fi ambient noises that whilst are cool for the theme are very loud. Not played it so I can’t tell if their volume is changeable separate to things like pickup/shooting/footsteps but if it’s not, it’s something I’d like. Definitely something I’m interested in playing in.
I remember this game being a big thing for a while but it had a lack of replayability which ended up making it more unknown now. Still is a great game though.
Yes, I mean the graphics are interesting and the sound is actually very good. There's some quirky things to the UI that I actually appreciate. The gameplay looks very cool but if you analyze it a bit, it's rather flat.
Okay. Lemme just say, AMAZING GAME. Nice mechanics, nice gameplay, nice everything. But not only that, the symbolism is amazing too. You evolve from a simple Cel, all the way to a prime, or a cell to human. This is an example of evolution, of course. However, what's interesting is the Prime form. You constantly lose mass, and when you lose all your mass, you disintegrate and start all over. I think this represents Humans attaining a form so powerful that it can exist without a physical body. I like the ending too, where there's a giant explosion, representing the sun dying and taking everything with it.
The concept of this game is actually cool, it's weird that I've never heard of it until now. It's applying the concept of gigantism in which you can be feel as the giant or being the little guy seeing how big titan outside wreek havoc. I love game like that, especially when you're the small guy trying to find a way to defeat the big guy and become the side character like shadow of the collosus which literally put you against giant titan made of rocks and you have to find a way to slay those leviathan
Omega looks and sounds like it's in a lot of pain, it's constantly shaking, when it shoots it's laser it's literally screaming, and when it stops shooting the laser, you can hear it breathing heavily, and not to mention that it's literally dying by the second and screams as it just implodes when its health reaches zero
I like how only now its getting reccomended to ppl, I remember some people playin this a while ago. However im glad its finally getting a lil more attention it deserves
Atomega is a first person shooting game, In order to level up, You have to become a cube, To get to the next stage, You have to collect cubes, That will make you bigger, Soon as you're omega, Try to keep calm and stay alive as long as possible, Cause people can steal you're mass, Shoot or collect mass as omega since he has magnetize powerup already, Once you're dead, Repeat the process.
