This unit is very appealing to me. The looks are certainly not as "sexy"as a line 6 helix with the color screens but maybe its lifespan is longer because it is not as fragile... I fear that these screens will die one day...
I am biased against pedalboards that doesn't come with a expression pedal built into it. Come on Atomic amps please make that happen and you will sell a boatload of pedals. That's my drawback on purchasing one of these
The function of the unit is fine. The issues I have are with the actual tones of the front end devices. But that's regardless of this device. I'd rather see tones based on Ritchie Blackmore, Pete Townshend or Mick Tayor to name a few. I'm a HIWATT/REEVES and Ampeg sort of bloke. I like the Vox TB tones. I have a few devices that I'd rather see on here - O'Drive Styler, Multiband Compressor, Harmonic Boost, Ovaltone Fountain - to name a few. Rather than throwing the usual high gain noise on the tone - for the teens, I for one opt for a far more refined tonality, dynamic response and transients. I play Latin sort of fusion and flamenco. The hyped up scene out there doesn't make for a first class tone.
