This was the very first episode to be seen in the U.S. in September 2004 (Cartoon Network's scheduling of early episodes was slightly different from the original Canadian telecasts). You KNOW something is "not quite right" when Roger keeps showing up to save the day ahead of Betty....
Applejack: Today, I'll be showing you a lost cilp from Atomic Roger. Here it is. (Maximus begins to laugh. Close-up of Betty.) Betty: (surprised) What? (Minimus also breaks into laughter.) Betty: What? (Sparky and X-5 are laughing again.) Betty: What’s so funny? Sparky and X-5: (pointing) You! Betty: Me? But what’s so funny about- (She cuts herself off, gasping in shock. Pan left slightly to show a building’s window, in which she sees her reflection. She screams and flees the scene.) Sparky: Betty, wait! It’s not that bad! (He starts laughing.)
You know what? I don't care what Roger says, I think the reason he follows Betty and shows off in front of her is because he secretly has a crush on her! I wonder how he'll react to seeing Betty when she is a teenager? My best guess is when he sees her as a teenager he'll probably be love struck at seeing how Betty has grown and developed into a young woman.

The first time I saw atomic Roger after stealing those pieces of gold just to make his own golden statue. I was like what an asshole! That guy was a self absorbed egotistical dickhead. But after saving Betty from his twin brother dodger he made up for everything and showed he maybe vain but still has a good heart.
