The Atomic Aquatics T3 regulator is all about being the absolute best - The regulator is made from serious high-grade materials that are light, strong, high performing and corrosion resistant. The lengths that Atomic go to in order to achieve such high performance is incredible.
The Atomic T3 extends the impressive two year service period to an unheard of three years or 300 dive interval and the regulators are even covered by a lifetime warranty. The use of such high-grade materials and some clever patents such as the 'Seat saving orifice' all help to extend the period between service center visits without affecting the extremely high reliability and performance.
The design changes from the previous T2 models have been scrutinized to shave off as much weight as possible to make the regulators one of the lightest full size, high-performance regulators available. The A-Clamp frame, in particular, has seen huge weight reductions and is no longer a hindrance for traveling divers compared to DIN valves. The first and stage components are precisely machined from solid titanium billet. Even the comfort swivel is made of lightweight titanium rather than coated brass or steel.
The first stage is a high flow and performance balanced piston with an environmental seal to provide full cold water and contamination protection. The sleek and compact first stage is fitted with two high-pressure ports, four low-pressure ports around the circumference of the swiveling turret and a low resistance, high flow low-pressure port on the end of the turret. This is the default port for the primary second stage.

I have a T3 and a B2 octo. Both titanium with a swivel hose. Love Atomic quality.

Ditch the T2 and get an SS1.

Best regulators money can buy. Worth every dime for keen divers. Better than Mares etc

Hey Mate, big fan but, the rapid adjustment knob should always be turned all the way out (counterclockwise) for the lowest breathing effort, during entries through the surf, jumping off a boat, or situations where the regulator isn't in your mouth, you may want to turn the knob all the way in to desensitize it, Do not leave the knob in the detune position while diving, it doesn't save you air, it just makes breathing slightly harder, I only know this because I'm thinking about getting one and have read the instructions, is there a reason you state to detune it as per your breathing requirement?

Hey Simply scuba or anyone else in the comments. I'm considering this regulator for diving frequently in Canadian waters( east coast) which does get quite cold which can get below 12 degrees. Given that it is made from Titanium; any thoughts on whether it is still a good option to use. I primarily want it because i can also travel with it to varying other climates.

Is it possible to swap out the rubber hose with a colored Miflex and keep the Atomic provided swivel? I've heard the entire hose assembly is one piece.

I don't believe so, the hose runs straight into the ball joint which is a unique fitting and I don't think I've ever seen an adaptor for it. This is the main downside for fitted ball joints on 2nd stages

No, but Atomic (and others) make a jam nut that can adapt the XS Scuba Dual Swivel Miflex hose.

titanium is not stronger than steel. all-true the density is less. it is great in quick changing forces, good with corrosion, and high temperatures, but weak (creep) under a constant force. all depending on the “grade” I think Atomic is one of the few who gives you another material to chose from than brass, used in cheap household taps. Scubapro has the mk25 in ti. are there other brands. for as far i know, Mares, Aqualung, etc are all brass with coating.

Its more corrosion resistant and less reactive right that's why they use titanium crucibles

I just read some types of steel are more corrosion resistant it must just be more shiney

Not a review. A product description intended to boost sales. Unethical advertising tactic.
