I think he did fall backwards once or twice but the one's he hits off his right foot, he tries to get his momentum forward as he hits. Plant the right foot, and try to push forward. Pro's don't hit falling backwards. It may seem that way but they ALWAYS hit with the momentum forward.

This was so fun to watch and the court level cam made me feel like I was getting an in person demonstration! It’s not just me…Moreno hits the crap out of the ball! You hit a wicked crosscourt passing saving a set / point at 4-5…nice! I also noticed you are SO relaxed on your serve! And you returned great…it seemed like either Moreno served to the T a bit too often, and you were reading it and getting a great jump on the return. Oh, and I would be remiss for not also saying from the latest video…Do Nothing, but do it with very High Quality has to be the best quote ever.

Great job! I think Djokovic mentioned that many top 1000 players have great strokes and, when watching a top player hit with them, you cannot always tell what separates them. However, when it comes to playing matches, that's a different story. The best play great on a consistent basis. Some lower players rise up, and hit "out of their heads" on occasion (beating higher-ranked players), but they cannot maintain that high level consistently. Of course, you have injuries that factor in as well. I tore my rotator cuff severely during my senior year of high school, and I was a head case. That didn't bode well for me. Even though I played #1 on one of my college teams, my shoulder often couldn't recover between matches at times. I was in the PT room a lot doing an ultrasound with the goop on my shoulder. :)
@unknownvitster
@unknownvitster Год назад
That was really fun to watch. Practice is different than matches, so I don't know if he was working on something specific. However, from what I saw in that set, your backhand is better than his. His forehand has more horsepower and is better than yours. You have a deceptively good serve (it's hard to read), but again, I think he has an edge. Your return is straight-up better than his, even though his serve is huge. You both move equally well. I think your shot selection was better, which allowed you to edge him out. I try to tell people the margin of difference in the top players is slim. Confidence, mental resilience, adaptability, and making quick tactical decisions make all the difference. I'm excited for your new journey. I wish you the best of luck.

@KaruesellHQ
@KaruesellHQ Год назад
Nope. That is what most players don’t get. Points are short. The first few shots present the best opportunities to take control of the point. So it is only logical that most points will end within the first 4-5 shots. Serve well and return well and you will be steps ahead of your opponents
@afiqsazlanstennis
@afiqsazlanstennis Год назад
I had the same thoughts as well. I felt the need to have highlight-worthy rallies throughout the match. What helped me overcome this unrealistic expectation is watching full matches, both pros and amateur level. Turns out highlights are well, highlights. Most of the points are really short. Some longer points are momentum-defining moments

Hey Karue, Watching this from Singapore. I see a lot of stuff in there that I recognise from my own battles. Particularly I felt that when you were up after your first break, you had 2 unforced errors - or rather one unforced and one seemingly easy volley (there probably is no such thing or it in itself could be the reason that we miss those ...) ; followed by a double fault. So my question is: Should you have taken more time and committed stronger on those two shots ? The double fault - ok happens ... I felt that in some other situations you also did not commit enough . Then again easy for me to say from the outside - but as I said it is likely also my projection ... Bottom line - it was a solid set. Super solid breaker. Very instructive to watch. Love to hear your thoughts on my comments. Best from Singapore

@KaruesellHQ

His forehand was better, late in the set too many unforced forehand errors from Karue probably due to stress. He should do what he tells us to do, and sometimes just send a neutral ball back. but his backhand is so damn reliable! Even under stress. Was the last serve out?

What is your court filming setup ? Do you use a tripod ?

Solid from you. Moreno played well but dropped the level in the tiebreak. Karue, keep on fighting on your journey. I believe you can get to a top 200 very quickly. If you plan well the tournaments you play and get good results, then it's just a matter of time.

Karue, how much tennis do you play/train compared to the top 400, so you think?

Karue you are amazing!! You have a really hard choice to make. Because i really think you can make it to the top 100 in the world. But is a full time job, training so hard so many hours, taking care of yourself and the first year would be really expensive. But after that, all your hard work will pay off

Finally some similarity with my games. 1-1, break point, an easy ball in the midle, opportunity to open up the angles and win the game in this ball or the next. What do I do? Smack it, unnecessary too hard, and the ball goes way long 🤣

Was wondering , you know the mardy fish amazing fairytale run which also inspires Andy Rodrick , Novak’s determination of dieting and discipline training factors , will you be progressing that too? Or you are actually doing it ? Cheers and best of luck Karue
