Yeah i agree, except for one thing. I made the news video aboit the ATR by watching the devstream like 5x over and they never once managed expectations. They never said what an expert series was. But as i said, hopefully both sides lesrn from it :)

Yeah exactly. The expectations were high and asobo hopefully will be clearer next time ‘round, but yes. For the money, its a great one!:)

Yes its super cheap compared to what you get

I mean; - Engine temperatures, behavior and performance is wrong. - Flight model is wrong. - FMS flight planning has game breaking bugs. Reverse throttle doesn't work. - The throttle in-game only reads the IRL throttle position, so gust-lock and idle-gate engagements do nothing and the engines can still be commanded through their entire power range (this is also why people report seeing 30% torque and being able to fly level at idle). - Engine auto command mode (notch) is buggy and will not always limit torque. - ILS capture is buggy. - APP Mode is buggy. These are literally all at the top of my head and things I've personally encountered myself in just two flights. But sure, _"there nothing wrong with this aircraft"._

@@ChristianNelsonnOP is wrong, of course there’s more wrong than docs, but you’re wrong as well. So to correct for other viewers: 1. Engine temp is wrong (okay one can measure that) “behavior is wrong” - what does that even mean? Not a technical term. “Performance” is wrong. Could be, if you actually notes and stated some specifics, but you don’t. 2. “Flight model is wrong”. My favorite BS online comment. What does that even mean (no commenter ever defines what parameters), and where are your specifics. Nonsense. 3. Reverse throttle doesn’t work. Nonsense, works just fine for me in dozens of flights so far. Figure out your throttle mapping properly. 4. (Various throttle comments) Of course it reads the IRL position, then it translates that to in game cockpit position. Doh, that’s how throttle mapping works. - Gust lock CERTAINLY prevents throttle advancement, no idea what you’re talking about. And the “idle gate”is on the fuel levers, not the throttle - cringe. The issues with power being off at altitude and other situations is being fixed in an update within days. - Notch probably can use some polishing, but without specifics your comment is useless. - ILS/Approach/and VNAV are all getting some love in a soon to come update as noted on the main forum, but yeah should have been better to start with. - So yeah, the “top of your head” is somewhat on point, and also utterly useless in other areas. All in all it matches up with the initial useless whining of users who didn’t and don’t know how to fly the aircraft, or simply aren’t reading the main forum to see what is being worked on. Try again after this Thursday and try to do better, avoiding the generic stuff.

Well there are things that are not right, but looks like MS is aware of them and onto fixing them :)

@@PYLT Asobo has a working "known issues" list. The issues with VNAV, ILS and G/S capture (autopilot in general) is on there, along with reverser issues. But others have not yet been added. I mean engine and flight model behaviour is not likely to ever be addressed I don't think (that one other commenter who called bullshit can watch some ATR videos and see engine temperature behaviour for himself and listen to actual ATR pilots for the flight model) but the throttle calibration not working and just following the IRL position instead of what is commanded in-game (application of gust-lock and idle-gate being ignored) is a big issue for me. Created a bug report about it with Microsoft. Others have too and more people seem to be contributing to those reports. I mean, hopefully they will keep updating and improving it and not let it become abandonware. It could be a decent option for enthusiast fliers until Majestic's Q400 comes along if they took care of the most intrusive issues with it (throttle and autopilot). So I agree with it being worth a buy at $13. So long as they fix the issues and maintain it for a good while. I just don't agree with people who for some reason try to show this thing like it's the best thing that ever happened to the flight sim community. The extreme opinions about this addon is present on both ends of the spectrum, not just with the haters.

It's a good thing they communicate about these things, and yeah they know about it and have a good track record of fixing it. And yeah, I think -again- that for this price, it's a great value. Now if it was 30-40-60 euros, it would be a different story... but for $13/20 - you get way worse / less complex planes on the marketplanes usually.
