I could be mistaken (it happens from time to time) but I think the reason you got dinged at the "right on red" situation is because you didn't stop after pulling around the car. I believe (again, I could be wrong) that the game will let you do a right on red, but only if you come to a stop at the intersection first.

Great vid, let me know if ya get fed up with my tips, but something I find makes things a little easier when it comes to mirrors and driving is, rather than a full movement across with the stick, just give it a little flick instead, puts you straight to the mirror, see what you need to see, then press button "B" xb, or button "O" ps, witchever controller you are using, and it quick centres the interior camera so you can get back to seeing where you're going.

Thinking of considering a cab over instead of a conventional rig??
