Since your doing your swap. I have 2.0 CTs rwd. Is it possible to swap everything over to my car which is 2014 base model from a same yr 2014 CTs-v. I happened to get one of the ones with the piston problem. Been trying to find out if everything off the v would transfer onto the regular CTs. Since your doing this if you have any suggestions. Thanks
Isn't the 14' CTS a 3rd gen and the 14' CTS-V a 2nd gen CTS? If that's the case then that'll be a much more complicated swap. Unless you're talking about a v2 coupe swapped into a CTS Coupe, which won't be so bad. My recs as far as the swap goes is stay as organized as possible and you should be able to get the car back together. Things are easier with a lift but I'm not using one. For your swap it sounds like Coupe to Coupe, which helps. I made sure to get a Sedan doner car as a coupe into my sedan would be more complicated. And know, this is a LOT of work.
@@perrymike15 I'm subbing keep up the hard work I'm still at the planing phase I want the 8spd but I haven't found an adapter to mate the stock tcase to the 8L
It gets all custom from there brother. What I'm doing is all OEM parts, if I were you I would do the same thing with a clapped out V1. 06-07 is the one to get. Would probably all bolt up to your call
