I used to have a hard time with those foldovers. I’ll try your technique-I didn’t realize you squeeze the leather into the tooth first. Also it’s great to hear patinas can be used on leather! Do you apply the sealer after?
Definitely give them another try, it is much easier if you "crimp" down the leather into that tooth/spike first to hold it in place. I love applying our patinas to leather!! I do not seal after, however you can for added durability. I haven't had any issues with the pieces I have made that do not have sealer. Happy Designing! Jess
