Such a great lesson for all of us! Yes indeed attack is a desire to hurt-it calls for love to replace it, but let’s not fool ourselves-it’s a desire to hurt. But if we could just remember always two simple truths- that when others attack us, what is really happening is that they are showing us there is a lack in them-a lack of love. And but us seeing only that, we can respond accordingly by providing love. But even more importantly, it’s only by us seeing this, and thus giving love, that we ourselves can have it!!! Thank you.
My mother attacked me verbally in a horrible way. I could never understand what to do with the incident or what my role was supposed to be afterwards. This has helped so much! Thank you!!
Thank you for this - very timely for me as I am experiencing a great deal of resistance while working through the Course, including painful memories of being 'attacked', and resultant pain and fear. This will surely help shine a new perspective on those experiences. Love to you both.
When you are the strong one to bless them, give them love is it that make you arrogance 😢like you are superior to them. My own brother is threatening me and my father to destroy us, so i am just praying Jesus shows me a way and I am doing the course lessons❤. He is in a dark place, and i don't know how to help.😢
Regardless of the reason for attack upon REALeyesation we want to extend compassion & understanding fir the ignorance of the ego, mine & yours.. Most feel unworthy of love on various levels.. The egoic mind is pathological when until transcended & transmuted❤
I like the "soap boxie". I wish I'd listened to this last week. I was mildly attacked by my brother. I was afraid. I couldn't listen. I was mean and attacked back. I apologized the next day BUT I still fell horrible. I'm praying for the day I can be like - how about Mr. Rogers. To look past appearances to the TRUTH 🎉❤🎉❤🎉
I'm not sure I agree always. I think when they are in attack mode, they are not able to hear anything that resembles love. I think the idea of the spiritual warrior is more appropriate. You stop them from attacking because it hurts them more than it hurts you. When it feels like "you are pitying them for their lack" and they need love, it kinda sucks that you see yourself as their source of love. The sword of truth is what is needed. They are looking outside them self for the source of love, which is never true. I think that the analogy about stealing the silver works is because he saying what you seek to steal as a source of love doesn't work. The source you seek you already have.
When one is in their ego they are predators and not acting innocent. Only one in Christ Mind consistently is innocent or totally loving. Can't have one foot in the ego canoe and one foot in the Christ Mind canoe and expect to see one's own innocence or others innocence. I love these quote OrEd TX. Innocence is not a partial attribute. 2 IT IS NOT REAL UNTIL IT IS TOTAL. 3 THE PARTLY INNOCENT ARE APT TO BE QUITE FOOLISH AT TIMES. 4 It is not until their INNOCENCE becomes a VIEWPOINT with UNIVERSAL APPLICATION that it becomes wisdom. 5 Innocent or true perception means that you NEVER MISPERCEIVE and ALWAYS SEE TRULY. 6 More simply, it means that you never see what does not exist, and always see what does.
If “No one attacks without intent to hurt”, does that mean that we feel attacked/hurt, therefore we attack/hurt? It does boil down to a call for love, doesn’t it?
From dreaming, falling into the illusion (our shared dreams of duality/separation) of there being lack of Love, makes entites attack. Hurt/attacked people then perpetuate the cycle, you are correct. If they're normal humans, bringing love and forgiveness can heal. But there are a minority of insane/dark entities/individuals who will take advantage and no amount of love can satiate them, the left hand path, service to self. Right hand path, service to others individuals like us should be wise and know the type of people we're dealing with, making sure they're not predatory.
The Course doesn’t say we feel attacked and hurt, therefore we attack. It says we wish to harm, therefore we attack. To get the concept it’s important to understand that when we attack we are in a loveless condition and that CONDITION is a call for help / love.
When we feel attacked & hurt sub-consciously---below though--- which is the program controlling our thoughts, emotions, behaviors 95% of the time--- we project that pain, unworthiness, incompleteness, unhappiness, separateness onto others... We justify this attack because we see thru the egoic minds distorted lens that is in opposition to the other... The ego inherently & on various levels will do whatever it takes to protect, defend, & enhance the character identity irrationally & difunctionally....
Tough one… I keep going through the motions of overlooking the social discord agenda playing out and return to love. I forgive our rulers/political captors, but all I hear is Jesus crying “Father, why have you forsaken me,” and praying desperately to be saved. I have no idea how to wake up from this horrific dream. Even though Course teachers understand the lessons of Jesus, they too, are still in the trenches, stuck in the same mindsets that perpetuate our imprisonment here, too. The Course teaches that we all must be saved by love, or none will be saved. How is it possible for all to be saved from this politically Mad World rule designed to disempower and disassemble our love for all? Am I getting this right that The Course teaches that if any one of us is ruled by anything other than love, that we will all continue to fail for eternity?
@@Aetherfield You're thinking too macrocosmically only, our first challenge highlighted by this assertion, 'thinking', make sure you gain control of your mind through meditation and 'the power of Now' (by Eckhart Tolle) and be fully content in the present, as that is all there is Now. So that you may use your brain when necessary, and it not using you & torturing you with unhelpful thoughts. Rest in the knowing that ultimately the Real is forever perfect and cannot be harmed. Relatively it's a play. You find yourself as a character in this dream, empower yourself to the best of your ability, and, that you may serve others, bringing to them the Light & Love of God. Do your part, and enjoy, appreciate the oppertunity to exist subjectively, the taste of honey, yum lol. When we see injustice we must try our best to bring justice to the situation to the best of our ability, and not only forgive and ignore it, but to attempt to amend it. To serve one is to serve all. And ultimately Love is a force like gravity, pulling everything to a singularity. Eventually through millions and billions of years, even demons and slave planets will come together as One, on the relative as we all have always been on the ultimate. Hope this helps.
