That mode where you make your own scout regiment reminds me of a conquest game . like Lord of the rings conquest . (not saying that's a bad thing lol )
Man they need to do a sequel and keep the stuff from AOT 2 while also adding some new stuff like forming romances with certain characters and going with certain characters fighting style like I would love to slice through Titan's necks like Levi with that reverse grip style it would look so cool.
I really loved this game, especially with how my created character had relationships with the other characters like how I thought me and Eren were best friends, Levi saw me as an equal, Reiner being a brother I never had, and Sasha and I am 100% convinced she had romantic feelings for the cc, I really hope for a third game after the show is over and we continue the story of our man because the game hinted we might still be alive
Ye also. Idk about you. But I counted like 20 titans… even the number tripled… I’ve killed more titans in less then three minutes. How did I die? Games rigged I tell yuh!
Literally my only complaint for the game is the reuse of maps, seeing the same level, over and over and over again doesn't help in keeping you engaged and refreshed
This game is sooo underrated ong, i wish this game was wayy more active and i wish they could make the timer to stay in titan form a little longer thats all. Hopefully when season 4 is over they either make a new aot game or just make a dlc for it.
Great review! As someone who's played this game a lot, I think when you have to grind for good gear can be a turn off for most people. There's also the awakening points and character skills for every character, which can take hundreds of hours to unlock in Territory Recovery Mode. This includes the normal, nightmare and eden difficulty modes. I was crazy enough to do it, but thinking back on that, it was worth it. Once I was done with all of that, someone like Daz or Thomas could become a GOD and breeze through the hardest difficulty missions like it was nothing. AOT 2 has become one of my favorite anime games ever! I recently bought this game again on PSN, since it was on sale. I still got my physical copy of AOT 2: Final Battle. You've earned yourself a sub!

Gameplay finesse, tight controls, anime'-acurate graphics, resource-gathering, lengthy storyline, tremendous character customization, horrifying gore, and tons of extensive gameplay after completing the primary campaign make Attack on Titan 2 Final Battle a worthwhile title for fans and non-fans alike... Such an underappreciated gem!

Even though I've only played the first game I really love slaying titans when they gather left and right especially when the character's gotten op the feeling of breezing through the map slaying titans is just awesome
2 years to late, but territory recovery mode on Eden is broken if you have elimination bounty which is a skill you get from kitz for your CAC and kitz and bertholdt for the other characters you get ten kills you get 20X materials and the rewards for Eden mode are golden drops and scarlet drops, scarlet drops are used for an additional gear such as ultimate perfected gear and golden drops increase skill points by 1 but if you grind outrider op and get an SS rank you still get 21 golden and scarlet drops, eventually youll hit the max of 999 golden drops which will allow you to equip almost every skill in the game which will break the CAC along if you uncapped odm, hand to hand, and lecture training

Can you play the whole game in coop? When aot 2 first came out I bought it day one but traded it in the next day because I was younger and less patient. The Titan rage thing where if they see you the whole thing goes red really pissed me off since I couldn’t avoid them or attack them no matter what while they where in that dumb rage mode. So I went back to the first game and just played that. Now that I’m older, my gf wants to play it but I don’t know if you can do the whole thing in coop and any tips on that rage meter?
Good games made in Japan don’t drop for years bro! I was trying to get some of that Pokémon dungeon game after playing Shiren the Wanderer. Still 60$ and it’s been out longer than AOT.

Gameplay wise, this game is Godlike! Storytelling/cutscenes wise, the game is extremely stale, boring, unengaging etc etc.... Thankfully, gameplay comes first in a video game so I'm good lol.
Nioh might be one of the greatest games I've ever played. Man even when they released the two day demos was unlike any experience I had. If you like AoT check out Nioh!
The Attack On Titan games are truly some of the very best anime games out there, you know, like Ultimate Ninja Storm was before every anime game was just a copy of it.
AOT2 was NOT developed by koei tecmo, it was published by koei tecmo and developed by omega force studios, the same developer as the warriors franchise and spinoffs like dragon quest heroes, one piece pirate warriors, persona 5 strikers and warriors orochi
I think because the gameplay is very repetitive it can get boring for some people pretty quick. For me I got burnt out after a while but taking a break and coming back did help a lot
I know you called spoiler alert, but 90% of your spoilers are unnecessary for the review. At one point you explain the cutscenes are nice like when Levi fights the beast titan, then you say, which we later find out is ****. There is no need to say this.
Seems like a biased paid review with cherry picked game play buffed by the better cut scenes. show 5 mins consecutive game play and the issues will show themselves. If its the best anime game ever... then I'm not gonna buy any more anime games. This was a rerelease of the first game, I never played that but the polish is lacking for what is essentially a very expensive franchise they took two attempts at. its not all bad though, i'm just glad I didnt pay the premo price they scammed their fan base with on release.
