Trust me guys, the re-watch value of this show is unparalleled. When you reach the end of this masterpiece, remember to watch it from the start again, you won't believe how many foreshadowings and puzzle pieces were scattered across every episode.
@@Luismayer77 Not just isayama. Wit studio managed to make this scene perfect. It wouldnt have been the same without a good production, manga and anime are both different works. If you wanna praise the manga then praise Isayama for making it,if you wanna praise the anime then you gotta praise Isayama for the source material AND the studio, director and animators working,as well as Sawano of course.
@@Luismayer77 Imagine the quality of this scene is so fucking good that it gives me chill even if I watched it more than a thousand times lol, this is the best scene in aot and probably one of the best scenes in ANIME history.
Imagine the reveal in the manga. We were flipping through pages and reading and the reveal was just one small dialogue bubble at the corner of a panel and we flipped to the next page at the same time our brain did a double-take like “the fck did I just read????”
@@jawrex28 lmao yeah, I thought Reiner was talking about a hypothetical situation for some reason and that got lost in translation, I was so confused lol
For real though, and their reaction is one of the best I think. LM reaction and WorkingTitleReaction are also really good. If only I could erase my memory and reexperience this series 😩🙏🏻
*Foreshadowing about the warriors in Season 1 and 2* In Episode 3: The warriors, Ymir and those who witness the titans firsthand are the only recruits ignored by the instructor. When Eren talks about the Colossal Titan the camera cuts to Bertholt. When he talks about the Armored Titan it cuts to Reiner. In Episode 7: During the battle of Trost, Reiner and Annie discuss when to break down the inner gate. ("Not yet. We have to let them gather first.") In Episode 8: After he sees Eren's Titan, Reiner tries to find out what the others know about it. Reiner and Annie are the first to speak up in support for rescuing the titan. In Episode 10: Reiner panics when he realizes that Eren might have been killed. Bertholt and Annie immediately follow him when goes to look. In Episode 13: Annie apologizes to her victims in Trost. In Episode 16: During the inspection Armin notices that Annie is using Marco's gear. Reiner and Bertholt are shown to be overly interessted when Erwin talks about Eren's basement. In Episode 17: After seeing his face the Female Titan spares Armin. As Armin gets closer to the truth, Reiner starts to get nervous. Later he tries to gather information on Eren's position within the formation. After being spread a second time, Armin realizes that the Female Titan is Annie (He suddenly opened his eyes wide). To test out his theory he calls Eren by his old nickname that only their friends would know ("suicidal maniac"). The Female Titan then stopped. Reiner uncovers his face so that Annie can see him before pretending to attack her. She smiles at this. After leaving a message for Annie where Eren likely is, Reiner escapes. Annie immediately heads in the direction that Armin suggested to Reiner. In Episode 18: After volunteering to stay behind due to losing his horse, Armin is going to tell Reiner to deliver a message to Erwin that the Female Titan is Annie. Luckily he was interrupted or Reiner might have acted to prevent the truth from getting out. In Episode 21: During the fight Eren realizes that the Female Titan is Annie because of her unique fighting stance. Eren begins to say her name before he is decapitated. in Episode 26 (2 x 01): Reiner is rightfully confused as to how the wall could be broken. Reiner and Bertholt volunteer to investigate the breach with Connie. In Episode 28 (2 x 03): Reiner tries to keep Connie from figuring out that his mom became the titan. Connie and Ymir notice Reiner and Bertholt's strange reaction to seeing the Beast Titan. In Episode 29 (2 x 04): Ymir does the same thing as Reiner and tries to keep Connie from figuring out that his mom became the titan. Reiner gets suspicous when he realizes that Ymir can read the can. Reiner gets a flashback to an event from five years ago that he didn't tell about in episode 3. He never mentioned the person who saved him. In Episode 30 (2 x 05): We see that Reiner and Bertholt had a very memorable encounter with Ymir's Titan. Bertholt prepares to transform to save his own life when the tower starts to tilt (wants to bite his hand). The terms warrior and soldier are brought up a number of times: Episode 4: [Annie] "Anyway, I refuse to be stupid enough to play "Soldier" in this inane world." [Reiner] "Looks like you're not much of a warrior at all." Episode 22: [Annie] "I'm a failed warrior." Episode 28: The dialogue between Reiner, Connie and Bertholt about soldier and warrior. The character's positioning in the second opening and ending hinted their allegiances. Fun Fact: In season 1 and 2, there are about as many references to revelations in the third and forth season.
In episode 26 before the titans show up, Reiner volunteers to help Connie sneak away from the watchful eye of the senior scout members in order for him to visit his village, but the real reason he volunteers is likely to secretly do stuff without the scouts knowing.
ah yes my obsession of randomly seeing ppl react to 2x6, being satisfied and deciding to watch their whole reaction from the beginning *goes to make popcorn
The funniest attack on titan meme i've seen went something like this. Girls: "Boys always lie. Its all they know how to do". Reiner: "Listen up Eren, I'm the Armored titan and Bert is the Colossal".
Sasha's line, "Even Ymir was a titan." The real meaning of that is, "I suspected Reiner and Bertolt were titans, but even Ymir is a titan." That's why Mikasa said to Sasha to be careful.
Also, when she asks "Why would they tell Annie?" during the scene where they talk about how Erwin feed false info to each group during the 57th scout formation... she asks so because she doesn't know yet that Annie was the Female Titan. She was one of the 104th cadets left outside the loop, along Reiner, Bertolt, Connie, Historia and Ymir.
SEASON 4 SPOILERS: Annie's angry face when Reiner stops her to train hand-to-hand combat with Eren makes a lot more sense after seeing what transpires in Season 4 Episode 3. She freaking hates his guts, and for good reason.
The contrast of reactions between the reactors who suspect Reiner and Bertholdt versus the reactors who have no idea.....not much difference really. It's that good.
@@thefourthreich2039 I agree. I had a hunch that Reiner was the armored bc of the similar hairstyles, but when the reveal came, I couldn’t believe my own eyes. I can’t explain why, I just didn’t expect it to be like that.
@@thefourthreich2039 This is what happened to me, I was spoiled by some meme and eventhough I still can't believe it, when I watched it and saw how Reiner just blatantly, casually says that freaks me the fuck out and I was like "no way that meme is real right?" and when they transform I was like "holy shit so the meme that I saw was real!" and then when Eren says "you fucking traitor!" I shout my lungs out because of too much hype but at the same time of too much hurt from the betrayal I just saw because I was just developing a crush for Reiner at that time🤣. That episode exhausted me so much and I was shaking too.🤣
I love Isayama being a self-aware narrator, he plants the wall with "red flags". All these subtle hints to make the audience feel something is wrong, but not knowing what to expect.
If I remember correctly, there was an extra interview with Isayama in the DVD of Season 2. When they were recording the voices for that episode, Isayama himself went to the recording studio and told Reiner’s VA to say the big reveal line “as if Eren and Berthold were on the wall but only Reiner was chilling at a Saizeriya (Japanese Italian restaurant chain)”. The casualness was meticulously planned 🤣
The genius about this series is that if you rewatch episodes it becomes obvious! Isayama puts so much extra details and information that usually gets past us on our first watch as intended!
big props to wit studio too for actually being in touch with the author and even the people doing the music. They've animated the show and delivered it in the most immersive way.
This one scene just shows why AOT is the best anime ever made.... The emotions when you find they were the Armored and Colossal titans can never be beaten...
Hahah...I've never seen this channel before, but I think this is one of the best reactions to this episode I've seen. These 2 guys seem like actual, real guys, and they pay attention to the show.
They are definitely among the best, they're clever and attentive, yet some parts just completely shock them :D And its great to see how invested they really are
Do you remember at the end of 2x3 Levi told Eren to "You need to rein yourself in."? That means "suppress your desire to get revenge even if you see Reiner and Bertolt."
Eren wasn't able to believe that they were Armored and Colossal, he was thinking that Reiner's just tired. He also didn't believe in what Hange and Armin deduced that Reiner and Bertholdt might be Armored and Colossal, that's why he wasn't acting surprised or raged.
That is still the best reaction I've seen of that episode after two years, I just love their inner thoughts talks while the biggest plot twist is unravelling before them.
Dear Comrades, rewatching this scene is a pilgrimage for every AoT fans out there You may want to admit: when Shayne and Austin just started ep 1 of AoT, this is one (of many!) scene that came to all of your mind that you can’t wait for them to witness firsthand. Thank you Comrades for your cooperations to keep this platform spoiler-free (up to this stage). “Fullfill our duty until the end!” Hisu Chan P.S. We finally have one man down (literally~down the stairs). One mission accomplished. For Patrons: The Bros are on the Re-watching journey back from S1 now. You may want to gear up and Sasageyo (pledge) if you willing or able to.
Finally...my absolute favorite episode. Attack on Titan has many legendary episodes, but from this episode on, AoT went from being a very good series to the best. It's not just the twist alone, it's the way it's delivered. Without any buildup and on the side. I couldn't believe what I was seeing the first time I saw it. I liked Reiner before, but this episode gives him so much more depth and reinvents AoT. I joined at episode 5 of season 1 and have been waiting for this episode ever since. It just means everything to me and I am grateful to be a part of this journey.
And more importantly , it's not just a cheap surprise ,it is a well planned . First time viewers may not understand motives of Reiner and bertholt, why did they do this ?,why did they do it now? ,what was stopping them from doing it earlier?,why was Reiner acting weird ? Are they the bad guys?(internal laughing) But everything would be explained and that when aot jumps from 9/10 to 10/10 for me.
Japanese readers at the time keep going back and forth the page when Reiner said that because they were confused what just happened and wondered if they missed something.
love Austin's reaction! so many people just turned on annie, reiner, and bert after finding out there were titans but im so glad Austin's first reaction was "what's their purpose?" instead of immediately saying theyre evil. i also love that he said he still loves reiner after this reveal, it only makes reiner's character more compelling after all.
@@darkgenesis342 there's been more than enough hints and even a confirmation from reiner that they were more victims of circumstance than actual, malicious people. are they bad because they did these things? yeah no one is disputing the wrongness of murder. are they evil? no not really SPOILER to put it into context, try to compare the warriors to someone like sergeant major gross for example
I don't care...about them even after living with them for so many years couldn't make them understand that they are not the "devils" marley thinks they are then they are evil to me....and also they could have sided with scouts as they were only used by marley....and fight to save their families instead of killing innocents🙏so they are EVIL
I LOVE when reactors have NO idea and are completely blindsighted when it comes to The Reveal XD I also loove when they love Reiner, that makes me even more excited to see their reaction to season 4 :D
Out of all reactions I've seen of 2x6, this is one of the realest one. Your reaction, emotions and just how you guys were in denial for awhile and then the cliffhanger 😂😂😂❤️
Eren actually didn’t want to believe it even after reiner said all that. But when he saw his arm heal he went into that grey area where he didn’t know what to believe.
Fun Fact: This episode, "Warrior," is one of the Top 10 Highest Rated TV Episodes of ALL time in IMBD, and is Ranked #8 surpassing ALL of the Game of Thrones' top episodes.
I hope after you watch all the seasons, you will rewatch it again. Because when you re-watch it you still have things that you've missed the 1st time you watched it. Btw, prepare yourselves for the rollercoaster on the further seasons. Remember this show get better and better on the further seasons
The directors choice to undercut the fact that everyone had guessed the colossal and armor Titans identities by having them reveal it so casually is so ingenious. I truly will never forget the feeling when I saw this.
I reacted the exact same way. I didn't want to believe what I was seeing. When Mikasa was attacking them I was like, "Why is she doing that? Has she gone crazy?" I really liked Bertholdt/Reiner, I couldn't bring myself to believe they were traitors. Taught me something about myself.
damn, I didn't think these guys were that clueless about their identity, most reactors at least suspect Reiner from the last 2 eps because of how suspicious he was being. but literally, no one could suspect Bertholdt lol
Only channel I've seen so far that goes 2 animes at a time so they can still remember whats happening and they really pay attention even to the smallest detail. Thats why u guys earned a sub.
Bro, I've already watched more than 20 reactions to this episode and this one is probably my favorite, you both were so lost lmao My reaction was exactly like yours, I couldn't believe Reiner would reveal something so important just like that. I was completely shocked. This is one of my favorite episodes ever, it plays with our emotions in such an unique way that we just CAN'T BELIEVE what's happening in front of our eyes. I've never seen something like that in other shows, it's just SO GOOD. Is also the best episode to watch reactions of, it's really funny lol
one thing i LOVE about reactions is how everyone agrees it was wayyyyyyy too casual and it’s so out of the blue. nobody has ever revealed a betrayal so chill before lmao
the scene from mikasa striking them both up to eren punching reinerwas so epic the way they depicted that scene you were filled with an insane amount of urgency it was crazy 😭
Loved this reaction. Had to watch twice, partly because I was crying too much. When Eren cries and is heartbroken over his friends’ betrayals, it always gets me. Poor thang.
I think Eren kept it cool because he just couldn't believe it. Those two have been comrades of Eren's for years, this was a betrayal on such a magnitude that Eren refused to believe it.
