After rewatching Attack On Titan Season 1 for the fifth time i decided to gather all the interesting and mysterious parts from these three. Reiner Annie Bertholdt. This is why I love Attack On Titan. Lets pray for a good Season 4.
@@goldenjebboni1331 kinda confused myself with ymir and emir but i think she's the person that killed the jaw titan and basically made annie and bertoto quit the mission but REINER..
OP2 when they show the cadets, Reiner, Bertolt and Annie appear in that order. Also in the ranking for the top 10 cadets, the top 5 are Mikasa - *Reiner* - *Bertolt* - *Annie* - Eren.
18:01 *I just realized that they haven't seen the beast Titan since they were like 11 or 12 I would be shocked to if they sent my commanding officer randomly means your ass is in trouble back home😂*
Probably also thinking about their families and whether or not Marley gave up on them and decided to send a new team to retrieve the founder and punished reiner, Annie and bertholdts families
She's literally 12 lmfao. I'm not gonna clown on you more but if you're still angry for what they did as 12 year old then what did eren and the rest do to marley as fully grown adults.
@@obscure_genesis how is it not a hint lmao. its basically telling you annie was there along w reiner and bertholdt after the shiganshina attack. put two and two together.
Great video! You missed one hint tho. When Reiner is about to fight the female titan he quickly removes his hood before engaging. Armin at first told him to cover his face, to make sure the female titan doesnt just kill him because it could accidentaly kill eren, but Reiner surely wanted to make sure she knew who he was and avoid an accident between him and his comrade.
and the biggest hint of it all when reiner said he thought eren was in the right flank(right flank was the first recon team wiped out)...then when he decides to take off hood and annie picks he him up and pretends to crush him then all of a sudden annie running to the center rear when armin figured out where he is and told jean and reiner
There's also a moment in season 1 that goes pretty unnoticed after Eren fails with the ODM training and smacks his head on the ground. In the next scene his head is bandaged and you can see steam coming out of it for a short while.
@@sarahderrough3349 this is aot tho way diff for comedy the creator make aot dark not for comedic effect and it’s clearly titan smoke cause if you watched again you would realize when he was younger his dad injected him before the training arc, and next thing is we in training arc aka he has titan powers now so I think it was a hint for us
@@slicky3397 there are so many embarrising scenes, if I watch one piece, I feel like I am a child ( I do not mean it is for children, but you know it is just my opinion). If you mean the manga, I never read the manga, so I can't say if one piece manga is good or bad
I didn't even know bertholdt existed even as a side character until they revealed he was colossal titan. I thought he was a normal character who will be died unknowingly like thomas
You forgot the part in Season 2 Episode 1 when Nanaba told the 104th that Titans were coming from the south, and Reiner looks to Bertholdt and asks "HAS the wall been breached?" As if checking with him to see if that was the plan all along.
@@fryPS yeah but think about it, the wall had just been breached but neither him, bertholdt, or annie were the cause. so they are shocked, wondering who the hell just breached the wall if it wasnt them..?so reiner goes to help connie to see the situation, to see whos behind this attack.
If Reiner, Annie, and Bertoto hadn’t been there Eren and Mikasa would have been top two of the class. But big props to Reiner who went from lowest Warrior to number 2 Soldier
Imagine he was a regular soldier and was about to bite his hand for several other reasons: He wishes he was a titan like eren and praying it's over soon Bites his hand to keep from screaming Bites his hand so hard to cause enough pain to override his fear
Not really a big giveaway because there’s so much context that needed to be learned before this scene to truly understand who she was apologizing to and why
I think it counts as a giveaway because Annie and Marco aren’t really friends or acquaintance, they just see each other as comrades and teammates. It was strange to see her apologising-
@@NotMe-yh5gi Well true but she was shaking in fear/stress as if she’s blaming it on herself. Normally for example when Armin said that Eren “died” she just stood their as if she didn’t really care tho
If you see really close He was telling Annie where Eren actually was Just watch her watching his hand like she is reading something and going to a different path
@@vinyredx9220 yeah but there was no way you would have oticed that back in S1 unless you were a detective that keeps track if every single thing that characters do.
@@CH0SIS you don't need to think much. It's already implied and pretty much certain that Annie and Reiner used that moment to exchange info, i.e., Reiner told Annie of Eren's true location in the scouts' formation, which he asked Armin about just a few moments prior.
1. they already explained it in the series 2. a shape shifter can't heal immidiately, see Ymir or Eren when they got captured in S2 by Reiner and Bert, took a while untill Eren got his hand back to punch Diane
MiKoreHD Yeah, but Annie didn’t squeeze Reiner that hard in the first place, just enough to seem convincing to the others. Also, they’re called Titan Shifters, not shape shifters. Or simply shifters, if you prefer.
You forgot one of the biggest foreshadowing of season 2 in episode 4 Ymir and Reiner are talking and Ymir finds Marleyan canned herring when there is no canned food inside of paradis (Food is either farmed or sold fresh) not to mention herring is a fish that comes from the ocean and nobody of paradis has seen the ocean yet, and Reiner says “there’s canned food here?” Implying he knows what canned food is and he pretends not understand the Marleyan language that’s on the can and right before Reiner is about to say “Ymir you’re Marleyan.” He gets cut off at “Ymir you’re ... “ by another solider not only does this foreshadow that Ymir and Reiner are both Marleyan it also foreshadows the whole Marleyan arc (at this point they believe there is no other life outside the walls)
There's also this moment in Season 2 when Reiner says "I'm the Armored Titan and Bertholdt is the Colossal Titan" which I think is a pretty good hint too.
why am I still so frustrated I never figured this out?! I literally had to watch a Reiner character analysis after catching up because I was like ????????
RayChom Rod No they’re shocked because if Zeke is there they figured that must mean something went wrong and Marley is there but in reality Marley just sent Zeke as support
Eren:I will slaughter the Colossal and Armored Titan Reiner: *Chokes* hm yeah, yeah you do that, we know you can do that, right Bertholdt Bertholdt:Ugh Yeah yeah, you go Eren... yeah
@@antoine121 well true but I’m sad tho berthold ,Reiner, and Annie are the true heroes ALSO WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF EREN IS THE BABY DADDY OF CHRISTA/HISTORIA WILL HE KILL EREN!!! Sorry if I spoiled for you
i love how detailed the first season seems now, even though back then i was totally sold about the idea of humanity vs titans from nowhere, now with all the info we have, the first season feels like a totally different thing
@@bait5257 us as viewers it may be obvious, but as their reality livings, we'd focus on what's more common to think. Armin and Erwin were characters which never depended of common knowledge, that's why they analyze ideas beyond the walls they're stuck in.
He carved the direction in her hand and winked once he was finished for her to know and loosen her hand, the extra moves she made were to hide the fact that she loosened the grip
Can everyone just imagine the possibility that Reiner could’ve legit murdered armin here like he did Marco if it werent for jean being present, his theory about the titans - kinda threatens them and in this circumstance covering up a murder would be piss easy. 14:05
In Marcos case he heard them talking about their plan and Titan power. In Armin case it's just a theory in that time so it's not much of a threat and beside theres a lot of female inside the wall .
When I first saw this scene I just thought Reiner was really badass and not used as much as he should in the story. I always noticed he was one of the strongest soldier with Mikasa because we saw it on a cut in an episode and I remember being really surprised seeing him. I was like "wait, we never saw him on a rampage despite him being one of the strongest, why". I even thought it was a mistake made by the anime lol But it all makes sens
11:41 I just realized that in this scene, Annie really seemed to have grown to liking Connie and Armin to the point that she was lowkey warning them not to go to the Survey Corps because of her innevitable rampage there later on
Reiner reaction to the cannon fire a Eren potential having been killed is really telling, because it show the hope for their entire plan and everything he worked for for all those years being ruined instantly.
@@kirkp.lapenajr.3999 the reason he exaggerated it AND mentioned the basement was to basically rile up the other titans in the crowd, after he got to know Eren could transform into a Titan he knew allies of colossal and armoured were nearby. You can see him asking Eren “who do u think is the real enemy” clearly referring to humans being their real enemies and not the titans
I felt like Reiner could have killed armin at anytime in this scene if he wanted to because Armin is smart and clever asf just like what they did to Marco, when Marco found out about what Bertolt and Reiner where talking about and killed him and the evidence in the process😅
It's kinda cute haha. They used to be the same height when they were younger. Annie probably haven't grown much since they infiltrated the walls meanwhile her comrades shot up like weeds.
Annie acted so cold towards everyone so she wouldn't get attached. She knew she would have to kill all of them sooner or later so why act friendly in the first place?
When Bertoto said that Reiner was a warrior before but not anymore and Reiner being confused with it. It makes a lot of sense now. It's foreshadowing about them being warriors and Reiner having the split personality.
@@kajin1210 no Reiner def has split personalities, "soldier" and "warrior", all throughout the 2nd and 3rd season when he's in "soldier" mode you can see bertholt staring at him like wtf
I remember watching the first season and wondering about why Reiner and Bertholdt were so big. I remember noticing how most everyone, even in the military, seemed to be thin. Makes sense when there are food shortages and limited farming areas. Food was being rationed everywhere and here's these two guys, literally head and shoulders above everybody, and more built and healthy looking than everyone else. And then I wondered why they took so easily to military training with Annie having a ridiculously huge edge over everyone in hand-to-hand besides Mikasa. I thought these were anomalies that would get some kind of backstory showing that they were from some wealthy family holding some secret about their society. And then I read the manga. Ooh boy was I ever right and wrong.
17:00 very smart. They gave different plans to everybody. As they already suspected titanshifters were among them. The real plans wherr only know to soldier that where already soldier before the fall of the first wall. This way, depending on the action of the titans they mighr figure out who where the shifters. And it worked. It forced reiner in an early reveal. Same for annie
Yeah but it was extremely risky, they had 30% loss only with the Female titan, imagine if the Armored had appeared also, or even the Colossal. Idk, too risky to carry on if you think about it
Spoilers for season 3: I love how when you know the secrets of the basement and then you rewatch the series not only does everything make sense in literally every episode there's a certain character reaction or a way a character acts that makes you go like "ahh" take ymir understanding the marleyan language as an example
@@RafikiTheBaboon Yep the show is full of clues not only about the identities of the warriors but that an outside civiliization exist. The tin can is one, since only an industrialized civilization can produce it.Another one is the black liquid (Coffe) mentioned by Armin in season 3 and one last clue is when Ymir talks about the Beast titan with eren in the giant forest. The clue has to do with the japanese language and its more easy to understand if you know japanese but simply put Eren didnt know what a monkey was because monkeys didnt exist on Paradise and thats why Zeke was called the Beast Titan and not the Monkey or Ape Titan.
You know its funny how reiner and bertoto never mentioned where there home land was, i always wondered wtf homeland were they talking about cause they explained sasha and connies village
They mentioned they came from wall Maria south-east area I guess so they said that to make us think they were referring that homeland but in reality or probably since reiner had split personalities they were referring to marley
4:23 "he has both a robust physique and mental strength" Also Reiner after he told annie to take off his gear and letting him die "why is marco getting eaten?"

Thanks so much for this awesome video!! But I think you missed the scene where Ymir was getting Herring and she and Reiner could read it but Reiner was like "how can you read this" Could you do more I love this video!
I know, i had to cut some parts from season 2 because of copyright, I am working on a new video, feel free to subscribe if you want to see more. Thanks for your comment
@@shuwernlim4191 Man thats amazing. So many clues, hints and we foreshadowed it all. Thanks for not saying anything extra, like spoilers. its pretty common sadly..
@@beyondblueinstinct5365 they can't just instantly heal, remember how when Eren and Ymir were captured it took them hours to regrow their limbs, if Reined did actually get "squished" he wouldn't heal right away, that was just Annie's blood evaporating, but it does work as some way of foreshadowing
At the end of season 1 Eren is about to wreck Annie, then he says he would destroy the entire world. The most unpredictable foreshadowing in this anime.
0:50 okay this is gonna be maybe a bit of a stretch, but Annie Reiner and Bertholdt are all facing right, and then Mikasa and Eren are facing left. I think that’s because it’s showing the battle between Marley and Eldia. And then you ask “oH whAt AbOut yMir, ShEs fAciNg fOwaRd” she’s facing forward because she’s not on anyone side. She fights for herself, not for Marely, and not for Eldia.
They also do that in one of the intros, when everyone's turning while they're showing the supporting cast, they're facing a different way, it also starts with sasha connie and jea. Closet to the left and Turning the same way, while ymir and historia are in the middle slightly different showing that they're hiding something, and then the last three are completely different
The part where Reiner falls for Erwin's plan, still amazes me. How he genuinely spits out that he's hiding something. His comrades didn't notice immediately, but now it was a fact that sooner or later they'd put the pieces together and... They certainly did, because when bertold and Reiner confessed, what they didn't know is that half of the squad already realised that it could be them.
16:03 i just realised that that little smile from Annie wasnt because she was about to kill him but it was because Annie knew Reiner was pretending to attack Annie so that he wont look suspicious
@@Ckaionoriega Can't you people at least appreciate that I'm not one of those idiots who spoil the show??? I couldn't remember if Marcel's death was mentioned in the anime, so I just made sure. I swear, people on the internet are something else...
[ 0:22 ] Attack on titan: Season 1: Anime opening Whilst everyone is looking at the dead corpses of the fight, remains the unknown of movement, no one even moves except for Mikasa, she turns her head towards Eren, looking at Eren. Whilst supposedly everyone is brainwashed by the Riesse family, Mikasa was from the Ackerman family, showing that she can't be brainwashed, therefore looking at Eren, what she wants to see, rather than what Riesse family wanted her to see.
Connie at 18:25 : "I feel like you're always saving my ass, and annie risked her life to save me too, I've gotta repay my debts one day" And so he did in chapter 129
I look back and I think how dumb I was for not noticing any of it and how suspicious they were I’m just sad that bertolts dead R.I.P 😢 and Annie’s not even made an appearance so she might not show in season 4 which is sad too 😢
These were things I learnt: It's kinda sad how Reiner had a split personality like he's a warrior and a soldier. When he's a warrior, he wants to end Eldian and be a hero to the Marleyans. While if he's a soldier, he becomes a father to their comrades. Reiner, Berthold, Annie, and the others weren't evil. As I searched from google and looked through the episodes, I saw that the people who were training them as Titans were brainwashing them because they were 12 years old and of course they're easy to manipulate. For example, the Marleyans made them think that all Eldians are demons in there blood. Im sorry if I may have some parts wrong, also spellings of there names. It just keeps on changing by time to time, like "Burrito", "Berto-san", "Berto", "Reyna", Raina" and others.
when reiner said they're are armored titan and colossal titan with bertholdt, i've been shock cuz reiner looks like the armored but bertholdt the least one, no way
@@wantedfortaxfraud I don't see it, only thing that you could point out is that when Bertholdt does that thing were he stares with the side of his eye even in titan form. Other than that they share no resemblances.
While they're hiking, both reiner and bertholdt told eren and armin their exact goals. Bertholdt wanted to join the police military to find the informations about the king who had the founder titan, meanwhile reiner wanted to return to his "lost homeland" because he lived in and served marley this entire time to survive. Their main objective was to retake the founder titan and put an end to the titan era so the world wouldn't see eldians as their biggest threat, just like what reiner said about returning to his "lost homeland" which means living peacefully with the fellow eldians Another obvious clue was when annie said "i'm not stupid enough to entertain myself by playing soldier" means that the whole squad who got sent to paradis from marley had wasted so much time to accomplish their mission, they could've gone back and aborted the mission since the jaw titan was eaten by ymir on their way to the wall but reiner didn't want to cuz the jaw titan was killed because of him and he didn't want to feel more guilty so that he continued the mission. Reiner came up with the idea joining the military after 3 years doing nothing but being servants for the eldians made annie mad and just wanted to finish the mission so they could return back to marley asap
