It's crazy to me that every single death in this series has had some impact on the characters, even side characters that don't have much presence. Every person they kill, whether it was intentional or indirectly, they remember. The way Aot is written is so incredible because it's all so carefully planned and well-written. There's just so much detail and every adaptation has been so beautiful. The fucking music had me tearing up like 8 times in the new episode. After all these years the music still remains unbeaten. Truly a one of a kind show that you don't see everyday.
@@tofupop2915 he didn’t have a face, thats just his resting face. Even so, no dialogue or anything regarding that subject is simply bad writing in my opinion.

He just wants zeke dead for Erwin and they joined together to stop the Rumbling. Pretty sure he knows arguing about the past isn't going to change anything.
Ever since Jean said that line, “but then, those ashy bones would never forgive me” he became my favorite character. He wanted to take the easy way out, and just go along with the rumbling. As Floch said, he’d be a hero and most likely live with royalty status. But Marco’s bones still haunt him. The whole reason he joined the scouts instead of taking the cushy interior police job was because of the guilt he felt over those bones, and mirroring that same decision on this much larger scale is just so good.

For the author to have made the decision to make eren evil from the beginning and factor in references that wouldn’t make sense til later is mind blowing
@@MidasGramz the problem isn’t that it is not happy. The problem is nothing made sense. You got characters going inside a colossal titan and not bursting into flames somehow. I had this experience with naruto. I feel you 100%… wish I wasn’t ignorant back in the day and watched AOT myself… easily undeniablu one of the best shows out there
this is the kind of show where it feels like the author planned literally everything from start to finish instead of coming up with shit on the fly. a true masterpiece
Sadly WIT studio didn't put the first page from the manga in the anime, and they showed some random stuff in Eren's dream. MAPPA tried to fixed that in this last episode at least.
@@eternalmetro ok, it's not exactly the first page 😅, it's the number 13 and that moment refers to the end of the story. When you read it, you will realice what I'm talking about. 🥹
I have also watched AOT since 2013. I was 11 at that time. I cannot tell you how emotional I was watching the most recent episode with the realization that it’s coming to an end. It has been such a good ride. Give your heart.
Eren has never changed. It's as Mikasa said. From the beginning, he fought to protect the freedom of the people of the walls, he sought to make those who took their freedom pay, he defended the innocent people within the walls, and he believed that he could truly make a difference which would lead to humanity being able to leave those walls behind. And in the beginning we were behind him all the way. He was pro humanity. But then, his circumstances changed. What encompassed "humanity" changed. Eren still stuck by all of those things mentioned in my first paragraph, for those within the walls. However, this left the entire outside world as the majority of humanity. Suddenly Eren's overall good intentions for the entirety of humanity became prioritizing his own people over everyone else. Suddenly, he is not saving everyone, he is crushing everyone to save the few. It's so damned ingenious, and real. It perfectly demonstrates "the road to hell is paved with good intentions."
One of the ways Eren justifies his killing is by saying his victims aren't humans. When he killed the traffickers he said they were animals, when Reiner and Beratholdt reviled themselves he claimed they weren't human, when he did the Rumbling he pretended he was a child flying in the sky
. . . and then you realize the rest of the 20% population can just ganged up on Paradis now that they have an objective prove that Paradis is the devil they think they are. Keep in mind that Paradis is 50 years behind in term of technological advancement. Even if lots of people saw that some of the Paradis people are against the rumbling and stopped it, by the end of the day, the guy who started the rumbling was a Paradisian (with huge following in mind!). The discrimination against Paradis can only be worse at that point 💀 Eren plan was half-ass at best.
The fact that there's so much foreshadowing in just ep 1 of s1 is insane. The first opening literally describes the rumbling n whatz happening in the end. It is crazy how Isayama was able to craft such an insane story with collecting all the dots from the end to the very beginning scene on the Anime. Itz genuinely a Masterpiece.
because AOT is a copy of Michael Moorcock's 'Eternal Champion'. Its not hard to do foreshadowing when you are literally copying another authors work lol. With additionally ripping whole characters and story arcs from Muv-Luv alternative (which he has admitted). Stop dickriding.
I like that so many characters blame themselves for causing the rumbling, I like that it tells you that it wasn't one person's fault and that it was a collection of unfortunate decisions that lead to their current situation
Even in the most recent episode erhen is crying because he knows he is going to destroy the world. He is walking through Marley knowing that he is going to kill every person there.
@@davidkunkle3262 no spoilers, so don’t worry. but eren could be crying about so much more in this moment. the ending, becoming this monster, throwing away his life just to shed blood.. there’s so many reasons why it’s so sad. but i love how he has these emotions. makes him feel a lot more human despite being a giant monster
The best part about Eren from the way you describe him is that he STILL is protecting his friends and loved ones. His lifespan is ending and his friends are arguing over who takes on his burden. People are talking of forcing Historia to continue the royal bloodline in some disgusting ways, and the entire world is declaring war on the civilization that Eren calls home. His motives haven't changed so much as the circumstances, so he's become the bad guy because of that. It's like the world collapsed in on him and he just finally said "fuck the world, just all of it"

I also love the small details and easter eggs in this anime that are just brilliant. Some being: - Eren's lines to Grisha in the memories being the same that Eren Kruger says to Grisha at the end of season 3. - Season 2's ending visuals showing a frame with Ymir's daughters feeding on Ymir's body. This was before even the manga reached that point in the story. - Some of the manga visuals from Season 1 having Zeke and older Eren watching what's going on. Isayama had already planned out the entire thing, and nobody caught this detail in the manga earlier. - One of the titans looks like Saul from Breaking Bad after Zeke's scream in Season 4. Isayama wanted to include that easter egg because he loves Breaking Bad.
The third one is not true, you are talking about them watching through the window right? It was just the design of the window that led to people thinking that.. they were not people
@@armaanb.6566 I think the main one is that we don’t see where Grisha is looking in chapter 1 of the manga when he’s showing young Eren the key then later on he’s shown looking at Zeke so people talk about it being planned

Nah. Rewatching it a second time is just as good as the first time. Some scenes are way more tense when you know what’s gonna happen. Also you pick up on the insane foreshadowing and it blows your mind.
14:00 this is the very essence of Erwin's final speech that "even if we die a meaningless death it is up to the living to give us honor and find meaning into our lives" something along this lines. I love how it mirrored the last glorious speech of Erwin
It also helps that they can never finish anything. The overwhelming majority of Japanese stories are never finished. Then in the rare occurrence that they are, the endings are so abrupt and awful that it makes me wish the story was never made in the first place.
@@vladdracul2379 I get that to sometimes, its weird though, Japanese fans overall loved the ending for AOT. I have seen many other circumstances where they like things that western fans seem to hate.
@@danpox6041 Ah, that's an easy explanation. Due to the fact that the Japanese audience almost never sees an end to their stories, they think any ending is a good ending. Whereas Western audiences are used to having stories with a plot, a build up and then a climax so to us a garbage ending is something very distasteful.
I love the dilemma of Eren having to deal with knowing a future that he cannot change. We see him go through the stages of grief trying to deal with his new reality. He goes from rejecting his fate to arguing with others out of fear of not understanding, trying to find a better solution, realizing the pain Reiner felt, to finally accepting his fate and trying his best to have his loved ones come out as the hero's in the end. I love how the series explains how the cycles of life and hatred will never stop. How it's important to embrace the moments we have, and be kind and respectful to ourselves and others. This series has brought me and others much joy and as sad as it is I still can't wait to see it's conclusion this fall.
And in a sense despite him constantly telling himself he is free and won't let anybody take his freedom he is the biggest slave of all, he is a slave to his own future and we literally see him give up on trying to change it when he remembers a vision of him saving and despite not intending to at first as he will kill him anyways still saves him
But then he gains a sudden sexual attraction to his sister who has had absolutely 0 character development during the entire series. Isayama said in an earlier interview that Eren sees Mikasa as a sort of mother figure. He loves her like a mother, or like a protective older sister, which is also where his annoyance with her comes from. Mikasa and Armin ignored Eren's feelings and thoughts during the entire time after leaving the island. They could not accept him. We saw this when they were visiting Marley for the first time and Eren was sad constantly, and they completely ignored it because they wanted to have a good first time on the island. What great friends. This is what lead to him leaving them in the first place, because they were not good friends at all. If Eren didn't act in a way where they didn't have to do any work to communicate with him then they ignored him. I love attack on titan, but only season 1 to season 3 part 2. After that, it's good for a short while, very good actually, but we see elements of more unrealistic themes and also romantic relationships that were pointless and uninteresting, yet had a big part in the story in season 4 and forward. Very disappointing. I think the ending felt off. It felt like it cowered to please the japanese audience, who all shipped Eren and Mikasa and wanted the original gang to win, and then they also hated Historia. I think that the ending was not the one Isayama wanted, but it was what he thought the audience wanted. He tried to make it deep and meaningful in a way that the audience would like, but what we truly want is what Isayama thinks fits, with his realistic and true storytelling ability.
It's so wild to me how the show transformed from a fun, tragic Shonen, to this huge masterpiece come full circle, with the most pivotal part coming from eren touching Historia's hand. Everything changed from there; the future was set. And we didn't even find out until part 2.
I’m still heartbroken that the series is ending, excited but knowing we’re about to finish something truly special. This anime has helped me through a lot and I’m glad it’s gotten the attention and love it deserves. It’s sad to finally be concluding but at the same time something to look forward to.
@@Annie1962 Not when it’s drawn by the author himself. He’s probably not going to include it in the anime since he received numerous death threats when he wrote the final chapter (139.5)
Not gonna lie that whole scene of him apologizing to the kid and the kid has no idea what’s going on, but Eren was genuinely apologizing for what he was going to do it really shows that shred of humanity in him but his goal is more important
It feels like a voice of the fans to me in a way. Some fans just like Eren, were disappointed that the world wasn't a wasteland full of titans to kill. It was just the same as within the walls
A certain character's death scene was really well done, as you said, and they were my favourite character of the whole show. They went out in a blaze of glory and it wasn't unbearable to witness either, I thought to myself: "Damn, I could sit through that again." Plus, the scene after was a nice touch.
right!!! the scene after was so comforting and it made the death easier to swallow lol. obviously sad about it, but im satisfied with how they died because it just made so much sense for them to make that decision!
I shed a tear when you brought up Erwin. He will forever be my all-time favorite character in all media. Despite his felt presence and on-going impact after his death, it’s still sad to think that he never got to see for himself what awaited outside the walls.
When i'm feeling low or need motivation, I go back to two scenes: the hand bite scene and the suicide charge. What an absolute UNIT of a man. I have been watching anime for 15+ years and Erwin is my second most favorite character, all time, next to Light from Death Note.
What’s funny is Erwin would’ve been pro rumbling. There is a reason floch saw him as a devil and wanted him to receive the serum over armin. The man was an extremist who literally sacrificed his whole army because he thought it might save humanity who from his point of view at the time is paradise. Not the world.
1: Ngl, Mappa honestly outdid themselves in this. They lived up to studio Wit’s biggest success: which was their intimate animation in fight scenes. I did notice they excluded the cliff scene though 😓 2: I love how erens speech to Ramzi was actually expanded upon in this and even showing Eren’s grandparents in the cell. The little things honestly make it that much more emotional, whether you read the manga, or this is your first time seeing it. 3: Floch calling the eldians devils is a reference to his speech about why they should’ve saved Erwin over Armin back in season 3. 4: Hange’s styling and coloration during the fight sequence honestly pretty nice. And her was death was so beautiful and so peaceful. And Moblit (the one that pushed her down the well in season 3) being the one to help her back up here almost got me. A rarity for the series lol. 5: the animation sequence and seeing everything colored white on Eren’s back with the bombs making it look like even more of a hell scape, is kinda nice. (There’s more color on Eren’s back in the colored manga)
@@Seniorjohnson the beast Titan looks kinda scary with its long ass arms n shit… it looks so weird that it would be kinda spooky irl but the way he just throws shit is kinda goofy tho
I have to disagree with point number one. There was a grand total of ONE good ODM gear sequence in the entirety of the "final season". I am not being one of those "CgI bAd" clowns that think all CGI is bad, because I have eyes and I've seen Demon Slayer, but the beast titan looked actively atrocious in parts one and two of the final season. MAPPA animated it very well, but it was simply not on the same level as WIT, both in terms of quality as well as quantity.
Not only is this my favorite anime ever, it’s my favorite show and story possibly ever. I never knew something could be this good and appeal to my tastes so much
Season 3 part 2 is easily top 5 arcs I've ever seen. Not just anime, but stories for me. It's satisfying story wise, gorgeously animated, awesome acting and characters, and so, so goddamn hype.
I think the clever thing about Eren's character is that he actually hasn't fundamentally changed at all from the beginning. He has always fought relentlessly for two things: freedom, and the destruction of anything that would hurt the people he loves. In season 1, he felt like a typical shonen protagonist because the things hurting his loved ones were titans, and vowing to defeat all the monsters is a very shonen protagonist thing to do. Now the enemy is the world outside the walls, and he's doing what he's always done. If you haven't rewatched the first season recently, it's worth doing, and is honestly even better knowing what happens later. Especially the fight with Annie at the end of the season. Eren has a line that takes on a very different meaning in hindsight during that fight!
Don't let these haters say otherwise. He hasn't changed, and any "changes" that have occurred was foreshadowed or at the very least hinted at along the way through S4.
Literally I got so much out of the first they’ve showed us of the end. I had chills, tears and moments of happiness but still pain seeing all of Eren’s friends telling him that they’re here for him and to let them help him.
but they're not here for him. They completely ignore his feelings when they do not benefit them (mikasa and armin). When Eren was severely depressed in Marley when they first visited, Armin and Mikasa completely ignored him because they wanted to enjoy their first time in Marley without the memory of Eren sulking. What great friends. They only care for Eren if he stays the same as always.
Really when you think about it, Attack on Titan is more than just an amazing anime. It is an influential anime that has most likely changed and inspired many of our favorite and loved series. It's not an overexaggeration to say that Attack on Titan is a true, timeless masterpiece that has paved the way for many.
By far one of my favorite anime’s. The special characters death and buildup to it actually left me in tears. The song had me hype as fuck but my heart was breaking. It exceeded my expectations
The whole thing Charlie was talking about with influence of dead characters is spot on. When Sasha dies in S4 almost every episode after is impacted by her death. It’s incredible
The thing I love about attack on Titan is no matter who the character is, if you put yourself in their shoes and imagine what it would be like to experience everything they’ve been through. You start to understand why they do what they do. I used to hate Floch, but after watching the most recent episode, I started thinking back to how he had to watch 100s of his comrades die for what essentially equates to nothing other than the rest of the world hating them. After carrying his commander’s dying body through the lakes of blood and chunks of flesh that used to compose his comrades, you can start to understand why he might not care if the rest of the world dies as long as the people he loves can live. The same can be said for every character. Erase the bigger picture and imagine life through their perspective and every decision makes sense. That’s why I love Reiner’s character so much. He did atrocious things under the guise of “for humanity” but when he realized that he was fighting against innocent people who called him friend, it tore him in half. He could never figure out how to come to terms with it. Either he kills his friends or Marley kills his family. All he can do is keep moving forward. Committing atrocities until eventually he develops severe enough trauma that it splits his personality in order to cope. That’s why I love this show so much.
You're so right, especially about Floch. Yes, it's incredibly easy to hate the dude. On surface level he might seem like the only truly "evil" character in the show. But then, looking back on his past, ALL of his current actions make perfect sense. You don't come through the kind of trauma he did unscathed.

You never really forget your first because this show had me sitting down and processing it after my initial binge. I fell in love with it as soon as the first episode ended. AOT is one of the few pieces of fiction that captures the big hyper action moments , badass scenes and enemies and what not like a big blockbuster movie , yet it also has those slow , meaningful story moments. Often times movies / shows / animes can barely do one of them right ...yet AOT does both of them flawlessly . It makes you cry , it makes you jump out of your seat , it makes you think and ut makes you feel emotions u didn't feel while watching a piece of media fiction
i think its similar to breaking bad where it doesnt beat you over the head with deeper themes that will fly over most ppls heads, but when u start noticing pieces of dialogue that seem off, or different shots that are out of place it really comes together as something more than an action titan slaying show yet it never dwells on that and becomes pretentious
This is all quite bittersweet. It is good to get to the ending at last, but at the same time it's sad it's ending. 10 year adventure. One of the best animated shows ever in my opinion. Thank You Isayama, WIT and MAPPA for this incredible journey. ♥
My favorite part of the ending was when Walter White cooked his ultra pure methamphetamine and gave it to Eren, so he realized the errors in his way and everyone stopped fighting and they all got together to enjoy a nice breakfast that was mostly consumed by walter jr "flynn"
the fact that Levi woke up to finish the job with his homies is truly what makes him the shows best and most loved character. can ya not start a small pp war in the comments 🤡

Tbh I never really expected AoT to have this deep and well thought out story. I expected it to be an awesome af typical shonen anime about fighting titans but it eventually progressed to more than that. It's become something that's completely unrecognizable yet at the same time still makes sense when you follow the story, plus the great animation, music and voice acting. ♥️
I think this is a generation defining anime. In 2013 I think it revolutionized anime, and then when seasons 3 and 4 started getting crazy, everyone outside of anime was pulled in. And it went from this fun, tragic shonen, to something huge and bigger than any of us non-manga readers expected. Absolutely piece of art that has aged so well over the years.
Most manga readers abandobed it because the last fourth is a shitshow. The series should had ended on the sea shore but then the author got greedy. If this is good story telling, i recommend reading a book, any will do, even the hungry catepillar has better storytelling.
This show got me into anime back in 2014 and I've now watched it several times, every time in wonderment how this story is crafted, it's one of a kind. It's been a long wait, but the latest special blew all my expectations away. Even though a RU-vid comment spoiled me on how it ends, I'm still very much looking forward to it. It will feel like an end of an era and I'm certain this show will place itself among the greatest shows of all time, in any medium.
I fell off after season 2 but when the final season part 1 dropped several friends were so into it i gave it a second chance and i'm so glad i did because from season 3 onward the series cranks it up to 11 and never really slows down and for the first time i read a manga to see the end of a series which personally i really liked and now i'm hyped to see it all portrayed in the anime.
It is one of the most emotional anime and that puts a lot of people off it I think. Without risking that though it wouldn't be nearly as successful and memorable. It would be incredible if they deviated the ending for the animated version and blew people out of the water with something unknown.
me reading this comment after just watching Made in Abyss: most emotional huh? right, about that... in all seriousness AoT is pretty epic. One of the Gs
the best thing I really like in Attack on Titan is when the main character said 'its attack on titanin' time!' and he starts attacking everyone with his titan, Truly one of the anime of all time

It has been a long journey to witness the adventures of Eren, Mikasa and Armin in the unknown and cruel World. I remember the days where the manga was finally ending, it's crazy to me that it was actually 2 YEARS ago when chapters 137-139 were a complete dream to read, actually since June 2020 when chapter 131 was a thing every month was a complete roulette of theories and fun things to guess that would happen on the next chapter, I miss those days😭; and watching how all this emotions and moments of the final showdown are coming to an actual and very well animated product as a fan of the series, is a real joy to witness and also what the series bring to the table to every watcher, Shingeki no Kyojin Breaks the internet everytime something is realeased about it, is a real blockbuster fr. I remember when I started watching the show, the first season had just finished and I couldn’t bring myself to watch it because it didn’t catch my attention. After watching the first episode I was instantly hooked and binged the first season in one night. I had no idea how vast the story would be and the world building. Amazing show.
It was my first anime back then as well. I rarely give a perfect 10/10 but this absolutely deserves it. Absolutely Amazing the whole way along. It has some of the highest rated episodes of all television & movies
I've read the manga because i do not have the level of patience to wait for 3 years for the finale to come out. And boy oh boy did it bite me in the ass with the original ending.
As someone who has been finished for years now keeping quiet ALL THIS TIME i agree with everything said here. The way this has grown into intricate politics, harsh themes, and character growth is absolutely astounding seeing how things started from premiere til now still waiting to see it as a complete experience. I said years ago it will be remembered and I still stand by it.
SPOILERS: The "intricate politics" are pretty surface level, as shown by the ending. Isayama doesn't know how racism works. Unless the ending is changed in the anime, this will go down as one of the most incompetent endings in anime. When you reinforce racial stereotypes, the public doesn't become more willing to understand you💀. It's exactly the opposite. That's just talking about the political aspect of it. I didn't like where the characters ended either, but that's more subjective.
@@gilsercrow3590 Some good points for sure and I think we'll see! I've been very curious how it'll be received and also which ending they'll actually go with. Another 6 months or so, but I hope this will be remembered for the good...or we might have another GoT situation😬
@rickeywilliams6223 SPOILERS: I know the anime won't do this but imo one the best ways that comes to mind as a way to improve the ending is have the boat blow up in the end. Idk if you remember but Mikasa, armin, and I believe the rest of the gang were on boat going over to the last humans to talk things out. As I was reading it I really thought the boat was going to blow up or something implying that peace was never option after eren killed 80% of the population. I know the volume ending shows that war continues many years later but the manga kind of implies the Yeagerists started it which considering that they were the only hostile faction at the end which I'm not a fan of.
I started aot in 2014 and kept myself away from reading manga many times to experience it by anime as well. People's reviews of the ending are indeed mixed. Speaking in the terms of the little I know how it will conclude, I don't think I will dislike it though I can't know for sure. What I know is I'm super excited that it's finally ending. I was 10 when I started aot and I'm now 19. It really has a special place in my heart.
I have also read it, I’m just curious did you think the ending was good or bad? I personally thought it was pretty rushed and not a very satisfying conclusion
@@squarekirby5437 i think the ending itself is good. eren finally gaining freedom, same with ymir. armin and friends living long and fulfilling lives. and conflict still exists. the problem is that the ending was extremely rushed and should have been 2 or 3 more chapters
Ending is dogshit, Eren not knowing why he even did the rumbling and sudden interest in Mikasa, Armin's every plan failing (including securing peace for the island), Ymir teaching younglings that it's ok to have Stockholm syndrome. But my favorite of all, it proves that Floch WAS indeed right about the islands future. Anyways solid ending, can't wait for Beren the next generations
@@squarekirby5437 It's the most over-hated ending ever, was completely satisfying? No. But it's as egregiously bad as people make it out to be, I'm convinced most people heard other hated the ending, read it, and without any critical thinking decided to hate it as well
@@Saint_Augustus I have read it and I do believe ending is not overhated, it's not bad for average manga but for aot it is, ending was not only extremely rushed but certain plotlines were either throw out of window or were never developed, on top of that it gives that horrible realisation that "eren never changed" in such a manner that it eliminates a huge part of his character development from marley arc onwards by giving reasons that he was "pretending" for 90% of time
The ending is something that can be fixed by adding more scenes and fixing the pacing. Thematically and story wise it was what was the best way to end it. It just got a little bit messed up pacing wise
@@TheIlikepie911 Eren fans are unhinged in general. They harassed an episode director because the music used in the episode wasn't "chad" enough for Eren. They harassed him again over the next episode, EVEN THOUGH HE WASN'T THE DIRECTOR FOR THAT ONE. I have never seen such an unhinged group in any fandom.
I watched aot since it aired in 2013 when I was 8 and now I’m turning 19 this year. I always looked up to Isayama. I idolized him and dreamed of one day meeting him. My dream came true last year when I met Isayama at Anime Con one on one. It was truly a great experience. To speak and get my manga autographed by my idol.
The best thing about the Anime is that the story is so great and the animation is so top notch, that barely anyone talks about the sound design, which is world class aswell. And I‘m not only talking about the music. The actual sound design is so well made. The OPs and Endings are also all so well done and hooking. Not only that, but they usually have a deeper meaning because iirc Isayami himself would work on the visuals on them aswell. Such a great anime. Not afraid to kill off characters, no meaningless deaths either.
Yes specially with wit at the helmet, the ops and ending but specially the endings gave so much info that is crazy also while complimenting it more with the insane music.
Craziest part for me regarding the OST´s was hearing that Soundtracks released for the first season in 2013 had relevant lyrics that only unfolded their true meaning in the current season
Attack on Titan really made me a huge fan of anime. It had brought me through 2020 and took me 3 years to watch it all happen. It was such an incredible experience to be a part of. From seeing major character development to insane, unexpected plot twists and more. Can’t believe it’s ending tho, but it was so worth going through it ❤
I will always have Attack on Titan in a special place in my heart, I watched it back in 2016 when I was I highschool and watched it ever since, WIT studios and Mappa did a great job adapting it and I hope the final episode will be amazing.
I feel you, I also started watching it in 2016 and I was at a very confusing time in my life back then so I’ll always be nostalgic for watching AOT back then
I remember watching it when there was only the first 24 episodes, it was crazy, my mond was blown, i fell in love with it instantly because of how unique it felt, the guy that made the story is awesome, i will not write his name because i will probably botch it Also for those who cant wait for the final movie you can read the last 5 chapters, tho i recommend waiting because mappa is the goat
Holy shit I remember watching the first episode and this was around the time where other crazy death having series were airing and it was my fav I remember reading through the Manga so fast and then discovering Akame Ga Kill trying to scratch that itch (it didn’t nearly as much but hey lol) and a few others 2013-2014 was fun
That song in a Hanji scene was from s1 and it's my most favourite from whole series. Such a beautiful song, I always thought why aren't they using it more, but now they did. Ty Mappa, u made a lot of people happy.
Aot's entire soundtrack is filled with bangers, one of the best lineups in all of anime. All the openings are bangers and even the osts and soundtracks are amazing. My personal favourites are Call of Silence and Apple Seed. I heard Hanji's death ost and im vibing with it.
I legit cried sooo hard when i heared it, i listened to the aot soundtracks since s1 relased and been replaying all the albums since then. And that soundtrack holds such a place in my heart.
I'm so sorry for everybody invested in this shit. It's gonna be like Game of Thrones all over again for you guys. Be warned. You will be coping about it for a while, claiming it's actually not that bad or even genius in some special way, and then it will all settle after a while for you and you will just be pissed. It's gonna happen to you. I know it will because I've read the manga on release. Lower your expectations. It's even worse knowing the animators do a great job but the story just goes to shit. The entire plot makes no sense when you see the last bunch of episodes.
This show was my second ever anime I watched in middle school. When part 2 comes out, it will be in my last fall semester of my bachelor's degree. I grew up with this show and while it's been a wonderful journey, I imagine it'll be a bittersweet ending
im in a similar spot except this episode aired in my last two months of college. when the last finale drops i dont even know where i’ll be, what job i’ll have. its scary but exciting
Honestly if I was back in college I'd have done my capstone on this series had it been completed. There's so much depth to this story that needs to be addressed, and it was honestly such a profound, perfectly written series. Absolute peak fiction and that's no cap
The only thing aot makes me passionate about is how fucking dumb it is that Marley is absolutely right about about the eldians' danger to the world. Feels really weird given how Jewish coded the eldians in Marley's ghettos are.
Attack on Titan will always hold a special place in my heart, it’s been such a great journey and we’re almost to the end, can’t believe it’s already been 10 years it’s been a hell of a ride and I absolutely would have it no other way
@@tx6723 LMAO nice joke you have there. The ending is literally whats called “bad writing” filled with forced drama and fulfilling shippers dreams other than caring about story.
I think one of the main issued I had with the CGI in Season 4 is that it was so jarringly different than the first 3 seasons. Granted, each part of season 4 has gotten better with CGI, especially this Final Chapters part 1, definitely was a step up from the previous 2 parts.
@@idno4856 I think this final chapters part 1 was on par with s1, I think the weakest season was s4 part 1 imo. s4 part 2 and 3 were both bangers. And yea considering mappa was picking up such a big project its all really well done, big props to MAPPA
I’ve had a blast with this series. Being able to see it end later this year will be so sad, but it’s crazy to think that it’s been 10 years and how I grew up with it. Loved this journey and happy to end it with you all soon!
Erwin is the goat and I still believe as I read the manga back then that he should’ve inherited the colossal. I was already tearing up when x character died but when we hear Erwin’s voice I couldn’t hold back anymore.
the whole hour long episode was done flawlessly and i believe 1upped how it was done in the manga. i was in 6th grade when attack on titan was released, and now i’m a 2nd year into college. it’s been amazing watching this show as my life progressed.
started this show when i was in 6th grade, im now in my first year of college. this show got me through the bests and worst parts of my life. its sad to see it go but im excited to see the conclusion.
My biggest excuse me what moment was discovering that floch somehow became liked, when the shit did that happen because I've made some bad life choices but not liking floch level bad
Attack on Titan was one of the first animes that I watched it was the whole reason I got into anime in the first place. I remember at the end of the first part of season 4 I was so excited for the final part, now two years later it's finally happening 😭
@@thegoldendiamond6762 if i had to ship anyone, it would be armin and annie. i was genuinely blown away by that scene and was so glad they did that scene as well as it came across. Armin W Rizz
As a manga reader, this episode blew my expectations out of the water. I loved the ending as well as the rest of the series, but I genuinely couldn’t have imagined that it would be so much better animated. It gives a new meaning to the word peak
My sister introduced me to the show when I was 8 and I cried during the first episode but I’ve been watching episode by episode and hearing Charlie talk about it is really making me remember how I felt about the Reiner reveal, the Erwin speech 😭😭
i did the same thing.. i didn’t watch AOT until well after the 3rd season. it was summer 2019 i was 17 and one of my friends put me on all i did for the first two weeks on summer was hoop and watch AOT at my my friend house. that was probably one of the greatest experiences of my life. other things were happening that made it great but watching AOT and getting put on to AOT was kinda the highlight of that short period of time. it’s such compelling story to me. i really really resonate with Eren. i would want to do the same exact thing if i were in his position.
I still remember the four year wait between season 1 and 2 and how strong of a cliffhanger it was. The fact that there were elements of foreshadowing about the final season from season 1 is still insane to me.
