Anime like Attack on Titan is very rare! Animation, Story, Music, Character Development everything is so perfect. I'll miss this Masterpiece after the final season.
the same with Universal Century, they're telling all sides of stories, the reason why Zeon Daikum called for independence, where the corruption of EFF started, the reason why Zeon rebelled, and the domino effect to all sides through out the years, stories like UC and AOT is very rare these days

So Ymir said to take her instead, to take back the jaw titan power that she stole from Marcel Galliard (Porco's brother).
Ymir was saying that she is selfish and bad person when in reality she was the kindest and most selfless human out there. She sacrificed herself to save both her allies and her enemies..

Ymir’s character will forever be criminally underrated. She’s well written, consistent, complex but understandable (once you figure out her motivations), and just a really good person. She checks all the boxes for me
I dont like how no one really cares that she got eaten by the new Jaw Titan. Like there is no dialogue about it or even internal monologue on the manga.

Poor Ymir. Turned into a titan cus she wanted to save others by taking the blame herself, then gets a second chance to live as a human and decides that this time she'll live only for herself but dies again for Reiner & Bert's sake. Such a selfless character.
1:03 makes me feel like the real Ymir is singing this song especially when she says that Ymir (fake one) will be reborn tonight and she will stay by her side.

I bet historia’s baby is from eren and it’ll be a baby girl named Ymir in respect of her first love and to close the circle of hate. Also I believe that eren will die by the hand of mikasa because she’ll be immune to the founding titan memory power and the Titan power will actually be transmitted to Ymir (that will somehow manage to break the circle and the non aggression pact). This is not a spoil, I’m not up to date with the manga.
@@바욱신아 if history does end up repeating again, I think it will be a big step forwards in trying to stop the cycle. Characters like Armin have made such a big change to the world, that all it needs is just one more tipping point and the hatred will cease. Even if all the characters end up dying, the goal seems closer than it probably ever did before in the history of the world of aot

I’ve experienced this once in a lifetime masterpiece today for the last time. It’s all a bittersweet moment. Nmw as long as humanity is alive there shall be wars and there shall be deaths. It’s the bitter truth of life shown beautifully in this anime. And this anime is not just confined to that sole theme, it shows friendships, love, laughter, sadness, disappointment, appreciation and all other emotions one experiences through out a lifetime. It doesn’t have any pure villain, it has anti-heroes. And this makes it even more relatable. I shall forever carry each character’s impact on me. Ymir is such a misunderstood character, she was written beautifully and gets so much unessacary hate on why she did not go with Christa and the scouts and how she just wanted to die when that is not even close to true, she felt the need to go with Reiner because she ate their friend and she felt as if she owed them a ton so she sacrificed herself. I bet the world that she would have gone with Christa if she did not feel so guilty. I just wish she would have seen Christa before she died....

She followed Reiner and Berthold because she knew for a fact that they can't go back to their home if their hands were empty. So she followed them so that Reiner and Berthold have no more reason to attack the walls again, thus protecting Historia future.

As Mikasa used to say, "the world is cruel, but yet so beautiful" The ending of AOT was cruel, and broke our hearts. But yet, it was so beautiful in its own way.

AOT is such a depressing yet beautiful anime and it hurts like hell. AOT is written so well, the characters, especially the females, the plot, the fact that everything ties into eachother and thats why AOT is my favorite anime of all time, it’s exciting, badass, and there’s really no other anime like it, not that i’ve seen anyway.
@@OsirisMawn I agree, most women anime characters are so horribly written, they either are helpless, useless, annoying, the writers usually make the female characters rely on the male characters, or they’re just simply there to provide tons of fan service, which irritates me, as I am a women myself. that’s why I love how Isayama wrote the female characters, they’re strong, brave, and overall badass.

True, imagine if it starts playing from there and the next scene it unfolds all the peaceful time, Eren's train of thoughts that led him do all this got transmitted to Armin or something and he told everyone about it especially Mikasa but Mikasa would answer that she already knew that he didn't want to do any of this willingly and his funeral scene came up afterwards with everyone crying including the scene where Historia's baby will be born and named Ymir for symbolizing freedom
I think apetitan is also for Erwin, due to how similar it is to beforelightsout, it is more a song about his sacrifice than a song to his character for me tho
When I think about it, Ymir's story is literally so unfair. Girl was living quietly in the streets, then she got dolled up to be a "goddess" then got trapped in a 60 year nightmare?? THEN GOT EATEN BY A TITAN??? Wtf man 😭😭
yea and what's sadder is that a scene of her backstory in s2 ended up being a huge gigantic spoiler, but as isayama alway does, it gave us just enough to theorize about it
it's kinda funny how fiction character could move your heart til you just sat there, cried as if you lost someone dearly and then you left with nothing but the heart breaking memories because they'll never come back to the series nor even become real.
My favs are : mikasa ymir historia reiner annie mr.freedom grisha In my opinion these characters have the saddest backstory and i am missing some it’s because i don’t have the time to think
@Hiago Mendes Now I actually get why Jean was a kind of a selfish jerk in the first place because he never experienced any trauma like the others. Then the battle in Trost district happened and Marco (his closes friend at the time) died, that's kind of enough trauma for him to change his ways.

Being a mindless titan for 60 years... to be suddenly freed from that hell, is a level of ecstasy that only Ymir would know. Easily one of the most likable characters in the series

Here after the final episode of Attack On Titan. Watched it minutes after its release and i'm writing this just after watching it. I... i don't really know what to say but... this has been one of a journey yall. All the emotions that AOT made us feel finally comes to an end. All the music, osts, visuals, storytelling... AOT had its own way of portraying itself to the audience, from very dark to happy to emotional and it excelled in all those catergories. I don't think no other anime will achieve what AOT had done, most importantly... what it made us feel, and i'm not saying this in a bad way, i'm always open minded. All of that hardwork from the studios and author, all that hardwork from the song writers who composed this beautiful song for this beautiful anime, all those sacrifices just for it to end like that. It feels unfair to put so much hardwork into something which will have to end at some point. I'm missing it already and i'm sure i'm speaking for a lot of people here. I'm sad we'll never get something like this again. "You never truly appreciate something until it's gone." That's so true right now. I feel like i never wanted it to come to an end, even though i wanted the characters to live a happy life.
Same here. I can't even put in WORDS how much of an impact an ANIME put on me. It completely changed me, and the way I saw life. I thought the impact was just on me, but after reading comments of you guys I realized the magnitude of this anime. Actually, anime is an understatement. It shouldn't even be in the category of anime its THAT good. Aot is just something else.

I like how AoT handles the backstories of its characters. Characters who were hated in the beginning slowly started getting liked once their past and motives were revealed. Ymir and the Smiling Titan are prime examples of this.
Nemo Hassanien how can u hate the smiling titan? When it is revealed that they were just ordinary humans who got turned into big giants human eating monsters against their own will (and in their eyes it is one big long nightmare)
