Honestly when I read the manga and watched season 4, I felt like Isayama should've just blow all of them up or something. Coz it's so painful that it all come to this.
Man, that moment where Levi is floating in the air and his eyes slowly begin to close. You can see he's just shutting off his emotions for what needs to be done
I noticed that instantly since it's something I have to do constantly. When I'm at work as a part time cashier in a restaurant and someone is being difficult. Or when my family is being irrationally difficult to me
Imagine having to babysit a guy who killed your best friend and a ton of your scouts just for him to do it again. The fact that Levi has stayed sane is crazy.
He kind of didn't. Levi went crazy sadistic after recapturing zeak. All he had to do was chop off his legs to insure he couldn't run/escape, but he was so maddened by Zeke turning his squad that he opted to torture him by strapping a live bomb to him which ultimately is the only reason Zeke was able to escape again and make it to Eren, as well as why Levi was out of commission for most of the finale. He was driven insane, to the point where he literally blew himself up.
Apparently zeke never learn from his mistake Levi literally beat him when there was just blades Paradis already developed thundering spear for more effectiveness, and zeke developed nothing and he still think he could best levi
I want all of you realize how amazing is that Zeke is so scared of Levi. Zeke is the war chief of Marley's warriors he's considered the most powerful titan of all the current warriors generation (bertholdt doesn't count because of his passive personality) that means everyone in the world is afraid of him(a exception of paradise of course ). So, in this scene the most feared person in the world is terrified of one single soldier. In conclusion Levi is the most the powerful soldier of the entire world. Such a badass.
I was afraid that they're going to dramatize the entire thing even thought it was supposed to be a "Zook comical scene" in the manga. Thankfully, they kept the atmosphere. Although imo, it would've been better if 00:06 to 00:12 doesn't have any BGM at all (only Zeke's footsteps) and the ost starts after that (when Zeke actually screams)
Zeke looked so frustrated when he saw Levi coming. He couldn't believe he managed to kill multiple titans (who happened to be his comrades) in a matter of seconds.

fr, homie schooled Zeke twice, once upon first meeting knowing nothing, in plain field, and then second alone AGAIN, homie solo'd him so hard the third time they met, zeke was like " yeah I'm not even gonna try " in series finale
The fact that they animated Levi sneaking up behind the titan at 2:03 even for just a short moment, shows the level of precision and care that the animators had for this season. I remember catching it the first time watching it but I didn't even have time to process it before he quickly dismantled the titan, then proceeded to move 3 steps ahead of Zeke.
The fact that Levi killed about 30 abnormal titans by himself which is an incredible feat on its own, but also caught up to Zeke and made short work of him just shows how OP he is..
The thunder spears did the work for him. According to Zeke's throwing velocity, he would have hit Levi unless Levi is able to consistently go above speeds of Mach 2 in ODM gear. It's obviously plot armor, but yeah he is strong.
@@blank4142 Why Mach 2? Projectiles thrown by Zeke are thrown at speed maybe Mach 1, maybe less as we can easily see projectiles, and to dodge them you dont have to be nearly as fast as projectiles as projectiles have to travel tens of meters to reach Levi while Levi has to move by maybe 30 cm, there were lot of gaps between those projectiles, it comes down more to Levi reflexes than his speed.
@@belisarian6429 Mach 2 because someone did the math on youtube, and it came out to mach 2.1 to be specific. the distance the projectiles have to reach from zeke to levi in this case does not give levi the ability to humanely react to them. multiple projectiles spaced, rather than one projectile, makes it harder to avoid but levi avoids it anyways. so, when it comes to math and physics levi loses the fight, but when it comes to the show and levi being an ackerman, he wins.
@@blank4142 Spaced projectiles means that it depends on luck, if really lucky Levi does not have to move at all. If unlucky and some projectile is aiming directly at his center then he has to move by half of width of his body + half of projectile width, since most projectiles seem to be size of his head I would say worst case scenario is like 40 cm and it seems to take those projectiles to take like 1 second to traverse what is probably like 30 meters, from Zeke hand to Levi. So that is 40cm to move in 1 sec (disregarding reflexes here as Ackerman is Ackerman). And that is not even considering that Levi could have by this time learned how Zeke throws his pitches, maybe already knowing where there will be probably gaps. So in short he has to move 0.4 m per second. I dunno who did what math under what assumptions of variables, but anything close to Mach sounds way too big. Also consider this, average human can dodge arrow from 30 meters if he is concentrating on it and arrow is visible enough at that distance, that is average human and it is comparable situation.
The first time I saw the scene of Levi floating mid air around his comrades I thought he was worried about whether he would survive. It’s crazy to realize that he wasn’t worried about that at all and he was just sad that he had to kill them all. That’s both badass and sad af at the same time.
@@josipfiala7102 I mean, it still wasn't an easy task, considering these were abnormally agressive and tasked to kill Levi by Zeke, and there were Thirty of them. Even then, Levi had to kill them all in seconds so he could go after Zeke.
2:19 We really should appreciate Takehito Koyasu's incredible voice acting. This gave me chills. And yes, the Kenny Theme in background was very awesome.

@@robertpolizu I couldnt even remember the fight in the manga, i believe it was only a few pages. Beautifully done by Mappa, and people doubted them because of the 3D... the animation in S4 tops both the artstyle and quality of AOT S1-3
Levi is OP not only because of his enhanced genetics, but also because of his ability to use the 3D maneuver gear to its fullest potential, it's just incomparable to others even to Mikasa imho.

How little zeke understood Levi. He had no idea where he grew up, what he went through and everything he had to do. Levi is the one guy you just don't cross.
That's such an awful thing that Zeke did. He used Levi's biggest weakness against him, that's his love for his fellow soldiers. I feel so bad for the soldiers and Levi.
I think the author wants to let us know Levi is not the same anymore. Without Erwin, he will prioritise his vengeance path. I think he will become more undisciplined and corrupted because of that. Not as Eren ofc tho.
@@MrEnric98 I believe Isayama at some point said that Levi has not a survivor's guilt but straight up survivor's depression. Every time he fights in the significant battle, he's either last man standing or one of the few who survive. He legit thinks it's just world's cruel joke that he's the one who always lives.

Why is everything Eren's fault? He was basically forced to work for the Scouts and be used as an guinea pig experiment for them. Levi put him in his own squad for protection, yet the cockiness of Levi squad is the reason all of them were killed by the Female Titan. Eren had zero to do with it though. He wanted to transform but Levi squad didn't allow him. Are you also gonna blame Eren for being taken away by Reiner and Bertholdt? Or when Eren got taken away by Kenny Ackerman and his goons? Lmao.
That shot of Levi floating between the titans before absolutely murking all of them (off screen unfortunately) is one of my favorite shots in the series. Humanities strongest soldier.

I love how Zeke is so pissed off at the fact that Levi defies impossible odds. He's so done with his life. It feels like he's trying to deal with a hacker and just gets increasingly frustrated at how his logic doesn't work on him.

When Levi floated in the air around his comrades, you could see the pain in his eyes, kinda reminds me of when petra and his squad died. This is honestly heartbreaking to watch

So much pain in Levi's eyes. He allowed those kids to have at least some fun while they were stuck in a forest for an unknown amount of time, and this is what it ended up like. They were his team, people who trusted him, and now he has to kill them with his own hands. He has already lost so many comrades in his life, been through so much pain, and yet he still finds the strength in himself to move on for the sake of humanity. And this is really astounding.
Yes, totally agreed. I live for these character digging and honestly this is one of the many reasons why Levi is my favorite character LMAO. The brains, the looks, the passion, the fighting, mans is a full package tbh
Yes its even sadder that he had to kill more of his brethren and it shows how mappa captured levi up close whrn his eyes went from shocked to devoid of emotion and life. You slowly see his eyes just fade. Imagine being levi who has lost his childhood friends when titans killed them, to levi squaf who also a titan (female titan) killed them to losing his squad mates to the beast titan plus his commander erwin Smith to losing his last squad to the beast titan again. He woupd certainly be devoid of life
